Otherwise it's a nice place for some bevvaroonies and they do some of the best curry I've ever had in a pub. The beer garden has a huge TV that blinds anyone who dares reside in the area.

Had a little ladies lunch in the courtyard for my mum's 60th and it was the perfect little spot! The staff were really accommodating & friendly, nothing was too much. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to visit pre Melbourne storm games 💜⚡

Who doesn't like a parma and especially when they are $12. Normally would save it for a winter meal but it was a balmy night and when I arrived saw someone else's order arrive and it looked mouth watering. When mine arrived - tasted even better, particularly as I sat outside in the outdoor area and soaked up the last warmth of summer and finished off the last of the salad and chips on my plate. The menu is pretty good and there is something for everyone. Typical pub food presentation but it's what you should expect so don't get your hopes up for some high end food. This is real pub meals. Service was quick as well. Prices for drinks pretty reasonable. Kids welcome. Dietaries catered for. Wheelchair and disability friendly. Parking isn't too bad, just watch those signs as the inspectors are pretty quick here.

Great modernized pub. This is a regular for footy goers before a game at the MCG and rightly so. Cold beers on tap and a great selection of pub food, the burgers are fantastic. Plenty of screens to watch the sport and there’s a really big beer garden that’s also the main dining hall.

Good solid Richmond pub, been around forever. Walking distance from the MCG, it gets v popular before and after a sporting event. Excellent beer garden.

Very busy on Fridays at lunch time, but they still get food out in a very timely manner. The burger I had was very good. Steak sandwich also looks tasty. Lots of room for groups. Only criticism is price - $22 for a burger or steak sandwich or parma with chips is exorbitant. You would do better to go 3 blocks down to the Beer & Burger Bar for a burger, chips and beer for only $15.

Great atmosphere - but it struggles with huge influxes of crowds when the footy is on at the MCG. Certainly worth a visit. Good value steaks and everything on the pub menu that you'd expect. If you want to experience Melbourne Aussie Rules tribalism, this is the place to see it. Great Jack Dyer and Tigers memorabilia.

Probably the best pub feed in Richmond. It's your classic Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday special kind of venue with a menu that suits a range of fussy eaters. Can't go past the curry. Good atmosphere for Richmond AFL games - even better of you go for Richmond! Couldn't ask for a much better local

Perfect for a Tigers away game or pre game beers

We stopped in to the London Tavern for a burger and beer before the quarter finals. Service was prompt, food served on time and the sun was shining! It was a perfect trifecta! The only downside to our visit is that the Tigers just didn't come out to play, so we decided to sashay away into the deep dark urban jungle to hide away from those nasty magpies. Maybe next year we'll be roaring out load at the London Tavern! 🐯

Came to watch the AFL - huge venue but it was just before a Richmond game so it was absolutely packed. Managed to get a couple of seats after a while and had a choice of screens to watch around the place. The place to go in Richmond for watching live sports. Can get crushed in the winter when a Melbourne team is playing the MCG, but has a great vibe. Good food on the menu, but it's really about the massive beer garden, big screens, and beers. When interstate games are on, great to sit in the front bar where they turn the commentary up and its a bit quieter.

Downfall is that they do not begin their menu untill later (no lunches) and we have had one bad experience of turning up and most of the tables were booked out (and half empty!) and were unable to get a good spot to watch the games, even though there were spare seats. ??Saturday night table bookings after 7 at a pub- pushing your luck!

This is a good old fashioned no-thrills footy pub. It's got a well-worn interior with some great memorabilia, and a top beer garden decked with screens. The main screen out the back is pretty dated and pixilated - time for an HD upgrade. Food is pretty good, but waits can be long on game day. Tap list is nothing inspiring, usual CUB options.

The lads. The Boyz. Pile on into the Tavern for footy. If you're a footy fan, this might kick some goals as the venue is huge with classic frothies on tap. Screens are plentiful but not your normal pub vibe. And the outside area is pretty much neglected. Wasn't my style of pub but it's always got a crowd so it might be yours!

Don't be fooled by the dingy looking exterior, the London Tavern hides some of the best pub food in Richmond. Whether it's the Parma, Steak Sandwich or Burger you're guaranteed to get a decent meal for a decent price! In the summer the courtyard out back is a great place to hangout, just be wary around AFL matches as it gets pretty packed and roudy.
