Cool little back street pub, has old school vibes with a modern setting - will be back for a few beers, edit: Came back for a couple of beers and dinner and it did not disappoint. The Food here is fantastic.

Checked out the new Mona Castle since it re-opened for a lunch on a Sunday. Such a great little pub, great selection of beers on tap and food was amazing. This will quickly become the best pub in the west. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Not a bad little pub and with a few small changes it could be great. Chicken Parma was good although the chips had to much salt on them. (Could just be me) Very loud and echoey in the front bar and finally, the tap beer selection is boring!

People being asked to be moved from the Bar area, for a function??? Space not being used efficiently or effectively. Per Bottles of wine being charged $62. Sound proofing needs adjusting, deeming of the lights ???

Mona Castle has recently been renovated and changed hands. It was very busy and loud when I visited. Mixed crowd, screens playing sport. Meh.

A great little pub, not yuppified or oozing with avocado. An honest old school pub, with a nice dining area. The food is great, and well priced. The beers are cold and not ridiculously expensive. The folks in the kitchen and behind the bar are very friendly

Went to lunch on Sunday. We had never been to this historic Mona Castle Hotel before even though we don't live far. We had the Sunday Roast which it happened to be pork, and it was truly delicious. Served with vegies and very nicely decorated, we enjoyed our lunch in warm surroundings and served by a very friendly staff. 10/10 Mona Castle Hotel!

Awesome local place with friendly service, nice meals & an authentic 'Aussie pub' feel.. The lamb schnitzel & porterhouse steak meals we ordered today were tasty & filling. We couldn't even finish our meals as the portions were so generous. There are real locals here, generally the hard yakka type, who come here for a drink after work, but they don't bother us.. in fact, they add more authenticity to the place. Anybody waiting for this pub to change, should change their choice of pubs. There aren't many pubs like this left in Seddon, Yarraville or Footscray, as local places are being bought by investors & turned into gastro pubs & cafes, with more effort being put into the decor than the meals. They serve their tiny portions of food on huge plates and charge like wounded bulls.. not Mona Castle.. that's for sure !!

"The Mona" is a good neighbourhood pub in wonderful Seddon - great food from Mark Childs and great hospitality from Cloughy.... Great food, enjoyable atomosphere - so do yourself a favour and enjoy a visit to "The Mona"

The wonderful staff at the Mona Castle were amazing. Faced with a noisy environment in one part of the dining areas they kindly moved us to a quieter area, as the noise was over stimulating our autistic daughter, even turning the music down in the new location. Their attentive service and the quality of the food means we will certainly return and also highly recommend to our friends. Thank you very much ladies for making our lunch memorable and enjoyable!
