K. C.Quick lunch here at this prime St kilda beachside location
The place is fresh and modern with great atmosphere. The Friday roast is porchetta and potatoes.
The pork has a very crispy outside although it's slightly dry on the inside. The sauce is decent but the most amazing thing is the roast potato.
I would love to try some other dishes if I have the chance to, there's plenty of options there.
R.Great setting in the newly designed venue. Food is reasonably priced. Some offers during the weeknights may provide better value-for money i.e steak night on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Staff are friendly and hospitable, dining room is clean and well set-up. Great place for a pub meal and good cocktails/beers on tap.
Reduced by one star as the place was super cold with the central aircon on full blast, and the medium rare steak I ordered arrived medium well.
R. G.We held our team dinner here and it was a great night. The staff are sensational and the food was excellent. We had the table in front of the fire place which I highly recommend for cold winter nights!
l. h.St Kilda is way cool. Waiting 20 minutes for a hot chocolate stretches the first friendship. Although princes bar is well stocked and the waitress is super helpful. I thought I'd St Paul in half light at St Kilda.
A.Wow! This place has definitely changed from my party days! It’s been completely revamped and is a modern and trendy restaurant that’s available for breakfast and dinner! We loved the chilli scrambled with prawns, so yum! Then the Eggs Benny + the best breaky burger with legit a slab of mortadella in the middle so freaking good!
N. V.The new look public bar is awesome. Great location, good vibe, solid selection of beer and cocktails and the menu is good. I was partial to the espresso martini in the evening and enjoyed the avocado toast with bacon for brekkie. Good to see this institution thriving 👍
P. F.We could not have had a better experience tonight. Food was delicious. Tom, our waiter was fantastic. He suggested dishes for us which we absolutely loved. The steak was the best steak I’ve ever had. This was our first dining experience out of lockdown so we were excited and couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thanks Tom and the Prince.

Drinks and food are ok, the staff are great, friendly and helpful
Big let down is no real selection of gins - at least they need some more local good gin! (They do have never never gin!)
Otherwise drop into this at Kilda icon and grab a drink before exploring....

All out meals were so tasty and the red wine jus was superb ! It’s the best I’ve had any where .
We had fantastic service from all the staff but Tom was a stand out .He was so friendly and knew all about the menu and offered us many suggestions .
Lots to choose from on the menu and mains approx $30 upwards depending what you choose . I had the chicken last week and it was succulent .
The lemon tart was so lovely and the cocktails too .
The restaurant has been renovated and has a warm cosy ambience with the fire going so we relaxed after dinner by the fire watching The tennis on the big screen .

G. G.Opened a couple days early. Opening date was 20th. But its ready so they opened... much better vibe after the 6 month renovations and rename and package. It not a bozing ring dor the drunken and semi homeless... irs now on par with the new Espy and 29th apartment next door... worth a revisit if you didnt like it in the passed. I didnt, now i do... very slow and boring crowd. Nothing like the energy as before.. no more billard tables nor pub games like trivis a the likes of. Lost its vibe.b
J. S.The efficient staff carefully checked our Covid status before letting us in the door. Awesome menu explained to us by knowledge waiting staff (Tom),, who recognised us from previous visits. The meals were great, and presented well!! A big thank to Tom and the other staff.

T. D.Good place to have some drinks after an afternoon on the beach. Drinks list is massive, so as the space. Staff were generally friendly but we met one who seemed quite new and could not give any recommdendation, and kept us in wait long for payment.
J. K.Crikey what a change since my last visit - it has gone seriously upmarket along with the obligatory price increases - no old school bar with pool tables and sticky carpet here any more.
I don't know whether it is a positive or negative change but I'm sure the young beautiful people will still think they are being 'edgy' and rebellious in these new affluent surroundings .... I guess the old school drinkers still have the old Fitzroy St bottle shop to enjoy some dank ....
