We love the attentive service, the comfortable beds, the luxurious rain showers, the muted lighting and the central location. The fitness centre is small but well-equipped and the margaritas served at the rooftop bar are some of the best I’ve had (spoiler alert: there’s tabasco and it’s fabulous).
QT Melbourne is easily one of our favourite hotels in Australia. When making trips to Melbourne in future, we won’t be staying anywhere else. Thanks, QT!

The staff were fabulous!! Very welcoming, remembered us as guests and gave me a free drink for my birthday. My now fiancé proposed and the staff noticed and came over and acknowledged the very special moment. The beautiful staff came over with champagne and congratulations. QT this has been the best weekend. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. Little touch points throughout the hotel made for an amazing experience but the staff made it the most special!! Thank you to all the QT staff for a very special experience, you made my night on my birthday and my engagement so special . Highly recommend QT. Thank you!! Can’t wait to come back!!
H. M.The customer service at the QT is the best I have experienced at a hotel in Australia. Rooms are clean, quiet and beautifully finished. It is not a good place to stay if you're a family, or an individual or couple who aren't in the mood to party - there is a bar on the roof which is very popular on weekends, and only a small entrance and loft lobby that guests must share with bar guests who can be pretty rowdy. Good if you're in the mood for that, but if you're having a quiet night it's irritating.

Niki was the best! He helped from beginning through the end of our stay. He even helped me with a package that I arrived after I had checked out. We really enjoyed our stay because of him and will definitely come back. Thanks so much!
- One security guy for the rooftop bar was a bit rude especially when asking about the International COVID Certificate approved by WHO. We felt kind of discriminated.

We visited on a busy weekend and a kind front door staff member walked us up to the rooftop bar area and showed us the new Secret Garden section. Even taking the time to explain how the space came to be. Was a great spot to spend a sunny afternoon well shaded from the cool Melbourne breeze.
P. L.Surprisingly, the main dishes were really good. Servings very generous. Imagine 4 men can't finish 4 main dishes. Fishhead curry is among the best in Melbourne. Pork knuckle texture is perfecto. Only need to fine tune its sauce. Olympic Chicken, free range chicken can match the best Cantonese restaurant elsewhere. Will definitely go back again. Tq

We indulged in the culinary experience, and what an experience it was!
Executive Chef, Paul Griffiths blew us away with his incredible personalised five course dinner, he made for an incredible evening. His skill in the kitchen is only matched by his charm and personable nature, coming out between courses to talk to me and my partner. He was so attentive, discussing wine pairings for certain courses and made a real effort to make the evening so special, inviting us into his to witness the controlled chaos of the masterful Pascale Kitchen. Possibly my favorite night out I've had in Melbourne!
The dinner was an absolute highlight, but I can’t finish a review without mentioning the rest of the experience. The rooftop bar is exceptional with fun, efficient and knowledgeable staff. The check in was welcoming, super friendly and accommodating, a great start to our stay. The room was lush and comfy, the Special QT Gel Mattress was one of the comfiest beds i’ve ever laid on!
Do yourself a favour, stay here, eat here, drink here.
P. S.Great hotel, helpful and attentive staff. Loved the room. Bed was huge and so comfortable. Rooftop bar was really good with a nice selection of cocktails and drinks. Breakfast was pretty good. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend QT Melbourne.
s. m.We celebrated a birthday by staying a night in between lockdowns. The room was spacious comfortable and quiet. The room came supplied with an awesome Bluetooth speaker. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning there. Brunch the next morning was great as well.

T.The staff were friendly and amazing, the attention to detail was wonderful, we stayed there for three days during my daughter's wedding celebrations, and they sent a beautiful bottle of bubbles to her room as congratulations. We've always stayed at the QT in Canberra and it was wonderful, but Melbourne topped them. Will stay here again.

Right next to tram stop which has direct route to southern Cross station which has direct bus from airport. Very convenient location in the city, walking distance to all corners of the cbd. Friendly staff, great facilities. Would stay here again.

Staff super friendly and accomodating. Room service took a while but was told beforehand that it would be delayed. Food was delicious and presented beautifully.
The only issue I have with this luxury hotel is their advertised rooftop bar. My partner and I wanted a casual drink on the outside area but was told group bookings were prioritised. We paid nearly $800 for two nights to stay here and was hoping for at least just one or two drinks outside to enjoy the rooftop and was told no, just wait until it gets less busy which it wasn’t because it was a Saturday arvo/night.
Guests should be offered early access or prioritised. This was the one amenity to look forward to other than the luxury rooms and we didn’t get to experience it.

The rooftop bar was closed for a private function when we were checking out, so the reception staff organized a couple of farewell Negronis to enjoy while we waited for a taxi. Can’t wait to come back for more. QT Melbourne staff go over and above to make your stay memorable.

My Husband and I recently dined at the Q.T restaurant Pascal. We ordered entrees that were lovely, a nice bottle of wine but when our mains came mine was just awful.
Our waitress was nothing short of amazing, she came to check on up on us and I’m not one for complaining so I said everything was fine.
She must have been able to tell, when she came to take our plates away she ever so sweetly knelt beside me and discreetly explained that she couldn’t help but feel I hadn’t enjoyed my meal and was there something she could do. She explained that they were trying mew items and feedback was important to them and just made me feel really comfortable. The level of genuine empathy was so lovely.
She removed the dish from our bill and offered us desserts, everything else had been so good we were full and declined her kind offer.
She still gave us complimentary coffees and some beautiful little chocolates.
Now, even before this we had watched this girl float around the restaurant all night, the couple on the table next to us also commented on how lovely she was. Chatting with each table, filling up water. having a little laugh, just making everyones night. The boys on the floor seemed stressed and unhappy to be there. To this young woman no request was too much or a bother.
My husband and I owned restaurants in Melbourne for years before we retired we were both so impressed. She’s certainly a credit to Q.T and deserves a raise.
We can’t quite remember her name but. The girl with red hair up in a bun and tattoos on her arms, we hope she sees this and keeps up the amazing work. We’ll be back for her lovely service again.
R. E.Love the hotel (I much preferred my stay here to W Melbourne) but really dislike the rooftop. It’s pretentious, service exceptionally slow (with no service recovery when our food order was incorrect) and zero cares in the world given re covid distancing, which was disappointing given all we have gone through to get to this point. The room (thoughtfully designed) was exceptional and I adored all the finer details. The bed was comfortable + the bath was EXCEPTIONAL. The small things like the elevator and its commentary were a point of difference which I loved. The rooftop seems to be a very big part of the property but I do feel they need a dedicated elevator so guests don’t have to share with drunken day drinkers should they not want to. It was my first time staying at a QT property and we will definitely return, but the rooftop experience will forever be a let down at this property.

Loved the atmosphere and look of the place and the added touch of the voices in the elevator was so unique but so well done. Only negative would be the valet parking option but you can always uber there or just park in the off site parking (not too far of a walk) and everything you need is well within walking distance. Rooftop bar and gym were nice additions.

D. D. S.Great hotel!!! The room was exceptional in the way it was set up and the decor. Staff super friendly and ready to assist. A refreshing change from the traditional hotel experience. Only few issues, breakfast was a little slow, expected being a Sunday!!! And parking. But overall a great stay and great hotel 8/10. Well done QT.
b. o.It was nice but some things let it down. Restaurants not open. Foxtel tv was nothing but sports channels and movies deemed new were up to 2 years old. No coffee in rooms just pods for pod machines and milk had to be squirted out through a straw hole. I thought being an upper market motel options would have been better.

Great service and lovey rooms very central to everything we had some drinks and food up on the rooftop bar all in all a great hotel if you like modern only downside was the bar does not open till 5 pm . So no where to have a drink if you fancy one in the afternoon especially if your on holidays so for that reason I can’t give 5 ⭐️
M. B.The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet BUT the hotel is not suitable for people over the age of 70. Our QR code scanner was not compatible with the hotel software and we were denied entrance to the roof terrace. We were looked upon by the barman as poor, non technical oldies who had no idea of the modern digital world. There was no opportunity to manually sign in.
We have now renamed your hotel the QR Hotel and will not be returning.

Adele was awesome, engaging and made us feel extremely welcome. All of the staff were great and the Hotel is incredible. Adele was also at the front desk when we checked out and wanted to know how our nigh t was and where we had gone for dinner - she is an absolute credit to the QT. We cant wait to come back!
J. B.Fantastic location, fun and friendly vibe. The staff are polite & professional. Rooms are spacious and the 8th floor has a fabulous & unobstructed view of Melbourne city. Bathrooms are amazing- huge showers, his and hers flexible styling area and love the Kevin Murphy products. The only disappointment was the in room breakfast- cold and presentation a bit sad.
Would be lovely to include some chocolates or biscuits to have with a coffee. Overall- wonderful city stay, exceptionally quiet (on higher floors especially) and fantastic location. Highly recommend.

We arrived at 12.30 even though we had a 2pm check-in and our room was ready and accessible.
I'm loving the quality fixtures, and finishes in the room that has so many clever lighting solutions from just the right illumination for reading a book to a night light in the toilet for that midnight run.
We had drinks up at the QT rooftop bar in the early evening with lovely views of the city skyline.
Breakfast was included with choices from the a-la-carte menu only due to COVID restrictions on buffets.
Overall a great experience from staff to the most entertaining lift journeys you could ever experience.

B. B.Recently I spent the weekend at QT Melbourne with my best friend who was about to have her first child. We stayed in a twin room and, thanks to the comfortable beds and blackout blinds, slept in hours past when we normally would, which is exactly the rest needed before the inevitable upcoming sleepless nights.
The room comes with big fluffy navy robes and a gorgeous selection of teas. We could comfortably chat in the room over a tea in the morning once we woke up. Kevin Murphy shampoos, conditioners and lotions were also spesh!
In the afternoon, the bar staff on The Rooftop were more than accommodating with mocktail ideas. So inventive, other guests asked us which cocktails they were! The sun was warm and the atmosphere electric.
The whole place is beautifully decorated which created a fun scene for an impromptu pregnancy photo shoot. I’m glad my bestie will have some precious memories to hold onto for a long time.

Staff went absolutely out of their way to make our stay special. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and went out of their way to be courteous, polite and welcoming.
We will go out of our way to stay with QT again in the future!
L. B.Have stayed here a couple of times now, once for work, once for leisure. The rooms are quirky and fun and immaculately clean. The mattresses on the beds are ridiculously comfy - like sleeping on a cloud! Staff are super helpful and go out of their way to help you. Wonderful experience.
m. w.Just stayed here, first for two nights, then for an extra night when our flight was cancelled, last minute. As with the Gold Coast QT, the staff were AMAZING. The breakfasts were fantastic also. We had dinner there one night and the food was definately up to the standard you'd expect and the service and attention to detail by the restaurant staff was exceptional.
As with previous comments, I agree the small gym and cheap somewhat dilapidated equipment was a let down; you can do better guys! But this isn't enough to drop the rating for me. The rooms were funky and many items looked new or nearly new. Would not hesitate in returning and this is mostly due to the staff - management, these guys are keepers! Thanks in particular to Natalie and her team. Sorry I don't know the names of those who checked us back in on the cancelled flight night, but your guys deserve real recognition. True professionals 😎. See the phone that has a "Feed me" button! Worth the price. The rooftop bar is a great place to meet your friends, too.
E. E.We staycationed at QT last weekend and had a great time there. With downstairs dining closed off the room service menu had been given a boost and there was plenty of breakfast lunch and dinner options via the QR code menu in the room. Prices for room service were very reasonable and we enjoyed Melbourne cafe quality room service on both mornings. The rooftop bar, one of our favourites in Melbourne, was open and we partook in the Chaos Hour happy hour event which was a superb deal that showcased the collaborations between QT hotels and four pillars gin. $30 for two cocktails and a shot of the ordered chaos gin was too good to ignore.
In terms of the hotel room it had everything we needed and was tastefully appointed and had excellent block out blinds and great lighting. There was a free in house movie streaming service and good selection of tv channels. Pod coffee machines, T2 tea and a reasonably good variety of interesting mini bar items.
We did hear slight noise of people walking around in the room directly above us and our room had one of those “optional” doors for connecting two rooms which couldn’t mask the sounds of our two drunk neighbours coming in at 2am and carrying on like pork chops.

The hotel's location is excellent and is centralised for everywhere you want to go. The hotel's rooftop bar was fabulous too. Whilst the room's are very trendy, I didn''t think the comfort was exceptional. We paid for a pretty decent room but I don't think the space was great for what we paid. If you are looking for 5 star plush, it isn't here. It is industrial style sophistication which doesn't equal comfort. We still enjoyed our stay.

They also speak highly of each other (the staff do) and it's rare to find a cohort of people who can work and move so effortlessly together to make my stay as pleasant as possible. My only (small) gripe was that housekeeping was inconsistent on a day-to-day basis as some days the room was quite clean and other days, not as much. The staff was super friendly and kind. Bathroom has walls made of glass. It is ok if you are with your couple, but it is a little bit awkward if you are with a friend. We found hair in the bathroom accessories and some pieces of broken glass in the floor, which was sticky. The soundproof of the room is poor cause we woke up in the middle of the night by our neighbours who had sex.

N. R.Rooms are great, a good amount of space, Cindy need and the room/hotel styling is a refreshing change from most other hotel rooms. The rooftop bar is a great place for a drink before heading out on the town and the dining room styling and food was very enjoyable. Only minor negatives were there are a half dozen illuminated light switches on either side of the bed, which I found quite bright when trying to get to sleep, and the shower is open plan so wets the entire bathroom floor when used.
C. B.Gorgeous everything. Loved it from the moment the staff greeted us at our uber and helped us with our bags. The room had sexy-cool vibes which I'm sure is not a real thing but that's how I felt about it. The bathroom made me want to remodel my house and the toiletries etc made me want to switch my haircare. The rooftop bar served delicious cocktails and was nice just to relax there after a day of shopping. The location on Russell St was close enough that we walked everywhere! My only tiny complaint would be that the mattress was a bit too soft and plush, great for relaxing on but not suited for those of us who prefer it firm. Still, I woke up happy to be staying in this boutique hotel. Will absolutely return.

H. P.Staff were very friendly and approachable. Love the way they dress. Decor is quirky, trendy and stylish. Great shower and toiletries. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. The lift can make you laugh and the hallways and rooms have a romantic vibe. Would definitely stay here again.
C. P.We arrived from a 16-hour flight, and were helped as soon as we were out of the car, which was so nice! As every day passed, the more I loved staying here.
Our room wasn't the most high-end room in the hotel, but it was plenty good-looking and roomy. I was sharing my room with a friend and there was room for both of us, however, the bathroom and toilet area left little for privacy. Had we not been good friends, this could have been an awkward share.
We tried all the restaurants in the building, and as per usual of Melbourne food, it was delicious! We ordered room service, and checked out the rooftop bar. The cafe had hours that were advertised on Apple Maps differently (so we were often confused why it wasn't open), but the staff was more than accommodating and one Guest Services person named Nas was really lovely and above-and-beyond helpful. She really pushed customer service from good to fantastic. She made us feel welcomed and important, when sometimes (especially when I went down to the lobby in workout clothes to get coffee when I thought the cafe would be open) I felt like I was shooed away by QT staff.
Hotel's cafe area closes early, but you can get coffee from either the restaurant or rooftop bar - depending on which one is open (each have different hours) or one of the many coffee shops in the CBD. If you try before the cafe is open... Well you just have to wait or go to 7-11 around the corner.
The weather was so incredibly hot one day (over 100ºF) that we avoided going outside, and thankfully the hotel was comfortable. There's no pool or spa, but there is a good and clean spa across the way.
The hotel staff were really helpful in helping us book a car and it came straight to the hotel for us, as well as was picked up by the service from the hotel.
Lots of shopping available just walking distance away from convenience stores to the left to high-end Gucci to the right, nothing was out of reach. The free Melbourne CBD Tram is really close and will take you around the district for free. Super walkable to parks, the Yarra river, and museums. The weekend crowd is a bit drunky but overall it's pretty safe around the hotel.
The hotel was very secure; had good safes and you can't select a floor your key card isn't programmed for. Check-in and check out went smoothly. I would book here again.
The room we booked was larger than I expected, even though the restroom was not very private.
The hotel gym was just large enough for a couple of people but I could see it getting too crowded if more than 4 people were to work out at the same time.
One issue I had was that I had to take several business calls, and because I was sharing a room with a friend, I had to find room in the hotel's common areas - and I couldn't find a place that was quiet enough. The staff suggested a few places but it just didn't work out, and I had to do some conference calls with too-loud of music playing in the background. Not ideal. I would say they need to not blast the music so loud at 6am.
Otherwise, the hotel was really great. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the amenities were great, and again - the food was delicious.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, in fact, I can't imagine staying somewhere else in the Melbourne CBD, as well as check out the other QT hotels around Australia when searching for hotels.
D. 8.Had to wait a while to check in, however to apologise we received an upgraded room and some goodies. Very happy with the service. Will stay there again!

From the event Staff Claire and Jade to the wonderful people at reception and the staff who were helping us with food and drinks all night - you were all wonderful. B. B.Swanky chic hotel in the heart of Melbourne. Modern furnishings, great accessibility to the city and all the sights that you want to see. The top floor is a hopping spot, people are crowding in on the weekends just to get a place on the rooftop. Guests get first access, so just work your way to the front and enjoy the view.
V. A.Just wanted to leave a review to say thank you for making our time in Melbourne such an incredible one. The hotel itself is incredible. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Just an amazing environment to be a part of. Also, every time we made an enquiry to help us plan our day the staff, including David (manager), went out of their way to help us decide and book.
