The Rochy!!! What a great pub! Many great memories were made here over the years. I do miss the old dancefloor that has now become a kitchen but all good things come to an end at some stage. Non the less it's still an amazing venue. Would recommend!!

An iconic inner burbs pub with an excellent beer selection and wine list. A cosy casual atmosphere for a few drinks, a bite to eat or a first date. Seated tables for dinner and a medium size beer garden out the back give you lots of options for an extended is it that includes food. Not wheelchair friendly. A fun place for a few drinks.

First night out post lockdown with a big group, was great to be out again and we were so happy we chose the rochey to mark this occasion. Staff were super welcoming and really looked after us, the food and cocktails were so yummy, especially the margaritas!

Fabulous local pub that gets its regulars because of good food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend the 'Shut up and Feed Me' option on the menu - it's surprising and very tasty. They will cater to any dietary needs if required. I was drinking tap beer and my friend house wine. Both very good. Has a great pub atmosphere. There are bands and live music which is good and keeps the place hopping. Seating outside is nice as well on warmer nights. Parking is available on the side streets. The toilets are clean and everything is wheelchair friendly. Car parking around Fitzroy and Collingwood can come with challenges so please check you have enough time to find one. Most importantly, the staff are just lovely. Helpful, smiling, chatty, enthusiastic. This is also what makes the experience that much better than other establishments. Well done everyone. I look forward to coming again and again in the future.

Great watering hole and to die for menu. Had my first beer and there's Hamish from Hamish and Andy having a beer with his mate not hassled. Friendly staff and if you love your music this'll be the place for you and they have live music + trivia ect. I think it opens till 3 a.m.. Lots of the Variety in beers.

Love this menu change to Kerala food. Had the chicken thali and chips with curry sauce. Could do with a bit more curry sauce, will ask for more next, damn tasty. The chicken curry is on point and I love their roti, flakey and crispy. How English, a pint and a curry. Coming back to try the fish and the pork belly. Watch out

Great food and great place. Service is even better. Blindly go with the 'Shut up and feed me' option. You will be amazed by the quantity and taste. The chef knows best on what to feed you. They will definitely ask you if you have food constraints etc. We also ordered the house beer and red wine, all too quality. They do have live music sometimes and I'll also recommend booking the place in advance as it does get busy. If you don't like chilli, make sure to inform the waiter as the food is a bit on the spicy side. Parking is available on the side streets.

I see there are some reviews here complaining about the size of the meal. Not sure what happened in those instances, but mine was so large I had trouble keeping it on the plate. I came in without a booking (on a Friday night) because I was hungry and looking for somewhere to sit down and eat. The staff were accommodating and super friendly (unfortunately, I was very hungry so I wasn't really that chatty. But appreciate how fast and professional the service was). The menu isn't huge so I wasn't sure what to expect. I wound up ordering the steak - and it was fantastic. Particularly the Rochy's green butter, which had flavors I've never had with a steak before but complimented TF out of it. Would definitely come back. (If only to try to work out what they're putting in that butter).

Awesome beer garden and nice interior. There is outdoor seating also. Worth visiting. Nice food menu, however I haven't tried the food yet. Check out the cocktail specials or try one of the craft beers they have on tap.

Fun bar with a cool vibe. Went for trivia on Tuesday night and had a lot of fun. Good food specials but you better be in the mood for Indian, as the menu is focused on that. Wasn't drinking, but wish I was. Beer selection looked good and the house red got a thumbs up from the wife. Bar staff super friendly.

This pub has had quite a few reboots. At the moment some fantastic Keralan dishes on offer. A good range of taps. And not too bad ambience until the music got pumped up. Sorry, when dining with friends, I don't want the conversation to be a battle with the canned music.

Great pub in the inner north. We cruised up there to watch the AFL finals and were really impressed with the pub. Cool beers on tap and interesting food - all with an Indian twist. They had the sound on for the footy which was great.

Excellent Indian food , the “ shut up and feed me “ menu is the best option, every course was exquisite and great value for $45. The person who served us, I believe her name is Laura had incredible insight into the menu and her wine recommendations were particularly excellent. Great to be reminded that there are still places which exist with excellent service, amazing food at a descent price. However please get a door in the ladies toilet, privacy is not over rated.

Seriously great pub and a very pleasant surprise. Great variety of beer and lots of different spots to sit, you couldn't not be comfortable. Bar staff know their drinks and are happy to steer you in the right direction. This is the kind of local gem that makes Melbourne great, keep being awesome guys!

Cool pub. Free pool, Indian influenced foods. Fried chicken wings were bloody great and the fish sandwich looked excellent and was excellent according to a mate. Didn't kick our group of dad's and toddlers out.

Had my husband’s 50th here and it was great. They were super helpful, very accomodating, we had a fantastic night! Dan, Jess and the boys made everything simple, the food was AMAZING, and all in all if you have function dining up for between 25-50 people, come here.

The new Indian kitchen is terrific, with a good range of very tasty dishes, including a feed-me option. The pub itself is always solid, and has a decent list of beers.

The craft beer here is always great, with rotating taps. Service is friendly and fast. There are vegan options on the menu that are well-executed (many gastropubs do an awful job), and we go here often. Wish they had a Parma, but have tried a bunch of their mains and always loved them.

The chef here has to be applauded for this guts. They have found a way to incorporate the traditional foods served in bars/toddy shops in the south Indian state of Kerala into this modern, hipster Australian bar ! The main meals, thalis, are put together from the individual bar snacks, with a helping of brown rice. I could only try their chicken curry (their fish was not delivered that day), which was spicey, authentic to its Kerala roots. Plenty of vegan options, and some sweet snacks too. I wouldn't recommend this place to any families with kids, it is after all , a bar. The ambience is shady, the bathrooms are smelly, nudes & graffiti on the walls. But could be a nice change for the young couple.

This review is for the restaurant portion. Go for the banquet. You can choose meat, vege or vegan options. They are generous with the variety of dishes they bring out and you won't leave hungry (well not unless you are a really large guy). We went for the vege option and what we got is far from the usual vegetarian fare - inventive, complex and tasty.

Very dog friendly throughout! Really nice place for a pint on a hot day in the sun. Or for a delicious hot meal at night. Large but cozy areas i side, including two lounged fireplace areas, seated eating areas, pool table area, and two outside areas. Out the back in the amply sized beergarden, or on the east side outdoor area at the sidestreet. Highly recommend the food and the place. Do it.

Great food, drinks and vibe but won’t split dinner bills on cards. Crazy - the whole world does - no extra cost and the EFT machine caters for it, and we were splitting across 4 cards evenly not item by item (which is crazy).... cost is the same etc,. makes no sense! Also wastes the waiters time explaining the crazy and out of market process!

Not a bad place and I’m sure the food is good but any beers from the fridge and not out of the tap are ridiculously priced to the point of getting shafted. Don’t mind paying $ for a good beer but $14 for a 3 ravens juicy IPA is just taking things a bit too for IMHO.

Great pub. The comedy night on Thursdays is particularly good. Lots of local comedians try out new material in between festivals. Make sure to grab a beer and some Tapas whilst you're there!

I walked to my car. The barman was so concerned her followed me. I had pushed the seat back and settled for a snooze and saw him peering in at me. Now that to me is the responsible service of alcohol that should happen in all pubs
