Food taste good but the price is so so expensive. Maybe recommend you all not to order the starter.Portion too small and so expensive. Order the main dishes is more worth then starter. Service is not good as others restaurant. And for the sauce of the steak cost you $5 each. Oh dear..

Had dinner with friends, shared the Tomahawk steak (4 people). It was so good and we enjoyed it very much. As a starter we had the crab cake, which was very nice. The steak took longer than expected but we got a complimentary lovely chicken ribs. Cocktails we had were the espresso martini, lychee pearl and the elder flower power. all were good !! All dishes were well served and looked good ! The only comment we have for the restaurant is the toilets which we feel were not clean enough.

Not worth the price tag of a fine dining steak restaurant. The presentations of the food was nice but the taste and overall experience was not. We ordered the standard scotch fillet and asked for medium rare but most of it was medium and not much taste. We ordered a medium rare wagyu scotch fillet that’s $90 and it was definitely soft and almost melts in your mouth but for some reason the beef taste wasn’t much. The sides were also average and quite disappointing. Staff were friendly but overall as a steak lover I would not come back here.

We enjoyed a nice dinner here with friends. All of our steaks were cooked to our likings. The lamb ribs were especially delicious. The porcine mushroom sauce is absolutely amazing & pairs well with steak and the wagyu potatoes (also a winner!). Staff were pretty attentive & service was good. Only downside would be the set table/dining times that doesn't leave much room for flexibility either side.

Visited Steak Ministry for the 1st time with my colleagues after many years of just walking past it. Impressed with the overall food quality - presentation, taste, quick service and general cleanliness. We started off with seared scallops, fried calamari and followed by scotch fillet for main, onion rings among other things as sides. Scallops were fresh, succulent and I couldn't just stop with one. One serve is 3 scallops. Delicious. Calamari was equally good. Tender, juicy and cannot recall one this good from my past experiences. Steak - yeah! Great. Overall very satisfied with the experience. The place felt a bit pricey but was worth it! Will definitely visit again! Thanks guys and keep it up!

Had the most memorable 3 course dining experience here! Highly recommend the Charcuterie Board to share! The Porterhouse for my main course was beautifully cooked and the dessert board was absolutely magnificent! Great atmosphere, variety of beverages and very incredibly friendly staff! Definitely the best steak restaurant in this area!

We were a party of 7 people and the staff were super friendly and attentive, from front of house to wait staff. I ate the 275 gram wagyu steak with chips and butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender and it just literally melts in your mouth. The truffle fries with herb butter is also something that you should definitely go for. Their seared scallop is a must-try with mildly sweet flavour and that caramelized crust when they get perfectly seared is the best one Ive tasted. Mashed potato could use more seasoning however. Overall we had a lovely night and would very much recommend Steak Ministry if you are looking for a venue.

Food was fine, nothing special but the pricing does not reflect the service (multiple forgotten drinks, food before drinks) nor does the pricing reflect the food quality. $100 steaks that are presented squashed flat and have quite a bit of connective tissue is something expected with a grass fed Coles steak. Cocktails were stando and good, wine selection is greay and presentation of other food was good. Starters were oo, but nothing to return for.

A nice place located next to the train station and there is parking space near the restaurant. When you enter the place you get a good vibe and the decoration is nice. There is ample seating but the place tend to get busy due to popularity. The place has a nice wine collection and sprits. The steaks and ribs are nice good flavour and decent size. Wow had a business dinner there and seriously impressed, how did a steak place escape me for all this years. The steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection, The entree and deserts simply awesome, sides are huge so best to share, staff friendly and engaging. Must try if you like steak and ribs!!

Good steak place that is local. They bring out the big chunky meat as the offering, if only I had the cash or the boys club to eat such big hunks of meat. The 'Tomahawk' was 1.7 kilo, with 400gr of bone so about 1.2kg of meat all for $280+. I chose the 9+ marble score 200 gram eye fillet ($85).... totally worth it, it was like butter smooth. The knife barely had to slice it, the weight of the knife was enough to slice it. We had also bought the scotch steak for my in laws and the difference was chalk and cheese. The same knife struggled to tear open the meat, you really had to hack at it. The pork ribs were good without being amazing, but we'd still buy them again. The best is without a doubt the eye fillet steak with a marble score of 9. Just divine!!

We found the food here quite mediocre unfortunately. I ordered the pork ribs which kinda fell off the bone but the meat was dry and the flavour was quite boring. I struggled to finish it which was quite unlike me! My husband ordered one of the steaks and he said the same thing...meat was dry and rubbery. The waitress and staff were absolutely brilliant. Up there with the best service ever received. Time waiting for the food was quite long. Luckily i was with good company so we didn't realise. Either way we did get complimentary food and drinks for the delay. The 2 steaks my mates got were cooked as requested and they were happy. The ribs on the other hand were on the lower end of the scale. Flavour and quantity was good but they were dry. I wont be ordering those again. The worst thing about this place was the state of the toilets. The smell and cleanliness was that you would expect from a public toilet that hasn't been cleaned for a few days.

An unforgettable amazing experience! I heard so much great news about this place and have been hanging for it for atleast 6 months, it was most definitely worth the wait hands down! So I booked on this Thursday night for Friday night and that was approved straight away which was all well and good we got a message a couple hours before our reservation a little courtesy message stating looking forward to seeing us and advising us where to park which I thought was very nice and extremely helpful. Upon entry we walk past the outdoor seating which was creatively set up. Once inside we were greeted by the floor manager I believe and one of the waitresses which showed us to our tables and I couldn't help notice the open kitchen where all the chefs were preparing their inspiring dishes. As we sat down we were greeted by Nathan our waiter for the evening. Nathan was amazing you could just see it through the whole night that he loves this job not only was he knowledgable but quite funny also which made out evening enjoyable. We add a variety of dishes some of them were orange oysters, Apple oysters, crab tacos, pork belly, and for my steak I had the T-bone steak all of which had flavours to die for just so creative and make him that explosion in your mouth some of which I didn't think would work but absolutely worked wonders. As for dessert we had the bomb which they are known for in Melbourne and the white chocolate apple pie both of which were amazing. With the dry ice experience, very mind blowing. All alcoholic beverages were good as usual as for cocktails, you have a great selection choose from which my wife absolutely loved. All-in-all an amazing place an amazing experience well worth the way and well worth the time spent great for every occasion great for friends and family even just come and have a few pre drinks before going out. Definitely one of my favourite places to dine at such a delightful ambience atmosphere friendly staff very attentive loved every moment of it and will be coming back soon. Keep up the great work guys........

One bit of feedback is please don't store the cleaners trolley in the toilets hallway as it was difficult to get past to the disabled toilet (and just generally looks bad). Located right at the Glen Waverley train station, this is a decent steakhouse offering a wide menu with your choice of grass fed or wagyu steak, ribs, sliders and sides. A good wine selection as well. We had a wide selection of share plates and shared mains for around $70 per head between 5 of us. Good value.

The premium rib eye with mushroom sauce was to die for. Amazing flavour and steak perfectly grilled. We also had the cured salmon! Fantastic. The pork crackling was very sub par. Tasted like foam - I would avoid. The only other issue was the order of service. They served the steak first. The sauce took about 4mins and the sides took another 8mins. So our steak was cooling down by the time we started on it. Regardless, it was an exceptional meal and I would highly recommend.

Great atmosphere. It's a nice little pocket, very different to the hustle and bustle of the outside. Meat is ok (rump) I personally felt it wasn't anything special, but they were cooked to your liking. Sides and sauce were extra and was tasted ok aswell. Nice to try at least once.

Overall the food, the vibe, and general atmosphere was really good. Although the place is expensive, and I mean truly expensive considering its located in Glenny, the food is certainly great. I very much enjoyed my steak and the Fruit Meat entree we got. I will say, however, that I am very disappointed that the steak came with no condiments at all - rather you have to order sides, which considering portion size (small) they were not worth $20 each. I understand the restaurant is going for a premium experience and hence the price reflects that, but it's just too much. Meat & Wine Co. is a great example of a fantastic steak experience that tastes great! And although a M&Wc is more costly than a general restaurant for steak, it's well worth the price. I can't say the same about Steak Ministry - it's just too OTT. I still support high-end options for those who wish to splurge, but regardless, better value is needed in general. Now price/value aside, there is one thing about Steak Ministry that completely ruined the experience for me; the knife. Yes, the knife. It genuinely ruined my dining experience. Instead of buying serrated steak knives like every other steak joint I've ever dined at, Steak Ministry uses a regular knife, and one that isn't particularly sharp. My steak was cooked perfectly, and tasted sensational, but due to the knife I had to apply a LOT of pressure just to cut it; it ruined my enjoyment. I've forgotten how hard it was to cut steak before my mum trusted me with a steak knife growing up! So an experience that was supposed to be pleasant turned into a chor, and my arm was sore by the end of dinner. And yes, I did ask for a different knife, and I was given a brand new non-serrated knife and told it was the best they had - it only helped a little. So despite being charged $160 for two people, I can't say I enjoyed the experience simply due to the knife; shame. Would I return? No. Not unless they get serrated knives, and the value for money becomes better.

We had the most amazing experience. The staff, food and wine could not have been better. We were shown into the corner booth seat (Table 21) through the beautifully light and warmly styled seated area. From where I was seated, I could see the kitchen and see Chris (Head Chef) and the other magicians working away. I can't speak highly enough about the entree and main course. The quality of food and the flavour is something we can't explain; it was so good. I told the waitress that we were too full for dessert but on her recommendation, we received the The Bomb. The table was cleared and reset, then next thing we see is dry ice wafting from a plate as it floats towards our table. It was set in-front of us and while everyone watches on, the ice was poured over the most beautiful round ball of deliciousness. I was so glad the waitress talked us into the dessert. For not only the best food, wine and service but for the whole experience, you won't be happier or find better.

Dined here recently with a party of 8. Refined and polished decorative style which gives it that touch of class for an upmarket steak establishment. Highlights of the menu: entre - lamb ribs, ceviche were excellent, chicken was tasty. Crackle was so so. Mains - full rack ribs portion size was rediculous.. prepare to eat if you order this. Scotch was cooked pretty well 8/10. For the sides the onion rings and truffle fries were delicious, and the market vegetables which was a charred cauliflower with carrot puree was amazing. Parfait for dessert hit the spot. Dessert wines were tasty on the nightcap list. There were some delays during the service which could have been avoided - They weren't that busy. The steak knives were blunt which was annoying. Having to walk up to get the bill after waiting was a little irritating as well. Overall good but not great. It aint cheap so take the above into account if dining here.

Without doubt, it is the best steak restaurant in the Eastern suburbs. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Can you hear the "but" coming? I would like to give it 5 stars, however, on our last visit I ordered a $60+ wagyu scotch fillet, which I reasonably expected to be tender and delicious (read "flawless") at that price. Unfortunately, it was full of gristle, all the way through, which made it unpleasant to eat. I brought this to the waiter's attention and was told "Oh yeah, scotch fillet is like that". The manager subsequently repeated this. Really? Yes, a piece of scotch from the supermarket might be, but at $60+ for a fairly average size piece of steak, I expect better. A free drink, while better than nothing, doesn't make up for a poor piece of steak at a restaurant dedicated to serving steak.

We went to Steak ministry last Saturday for dinner as a party of 6 for the first time. Even before we arrived I already had high expectations of this place from what I'd heard and read. And it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in and were greeted by the maitre d, we were made to feel welcomed. From then on the experience got better. Our waitresses were very informative and friendly. In particular to our waitress, Sonya from India, who was so friendly . We were impressed by the selection of steaks, in particular the special steak board with quality Wagyu steaks . I opted for the grass fed rib eye with hasselback potatoes and salad. The steak was cooked to perfection and it was like slicing through butter. It was that good that a second steak did cross my mind. Overall an enjoyable night. Food was amazing as was the service and the overall ambience of the restaurant. For great steaks and night out, i recommend Steak ministry.

The Rib entrée was awesome (that we chose ourselves), but we had asked for some help choosing the right steak telling the waiter we like scotch fillet, he suggested the shared rib eye for $425... we again pointed out that we like scotch fillet and not quite at that price so he insisted that they had a porterhouse for $110 each and because of the was they cooked it would eat similar to a scotch... we went with it and surprise surprise it was exactly like a porterhouse. They are clearly trying to upsell everyone to the expensive stuff, maybe this waiter was recruited from maccas? To cap it all off the drink service was slow.
