Food was good. Chicken parma was amazing, steak a bit on the fatty side but was cooked perfectly. Bit pricey - $84 for two main meals and a beer. Complimentary bread was a nice touch. The lady who sat us at the table was nice. I think the cook is the one who brought out the food, he was lovely too. Bartender was not very attentive and a bit distracted over the two times we went up to order.

We had a large family lunch here on a Sunday. Staff were great. Our meals all arrived at same time & we were a party of 15 adults & 5 kids. Only having one person taking food orders and serving drinks was impacting service with long wait times. Hopefully this isn't the usual routine.

Loved it! Excellent service. Fiancèe and I were greeted with smiles upon opening the front door and our waiter looked after us well. When we sat down at a small table for 2 he immediately threw the 2 of us on a bigger table to feel more comfortable. Food came out very quick and the steak sanga is to die for! Will revisit if I ever pass through the town again. A well deserved 5 stars, well done guys. 👏

The oldest weatherboard pub in Victoria. It has a relaxed, country atmosphere and great quality food. Quiet for lunches, busier at dinner. A lot of history in the decor. The food portions are large and incredibly satisfying. A decent sized outdoor area and large tables inside, near the fireplace. A must visit if you like traditional style pubs.

Great drinks and atmosphere at this hotel. Most of the meals were quite generous with portion sizes, but the Barramundi fillet was much too small for a hearty eater such as myself. I should have stuck with the parma instead. I'll be back though.

Quaint little Pub, it was very quiet when we were there, its sort of like being in a big wooden box as the floor, walls and ceiling are all lined with timber. l can imagine it would rock on a Friday or Saturday night.

The atmosphere here is very original, quaint, interesting. We liked it. The food was very good, but not cheap. The staff member who served us was a bit grumpy, unfortunately not very friendly which took the edge off a good food experience.

What an amazing resurrection of a classic Aussie hard times pub. Just stopped in for lunch and was wonderfully surprised with the venue and the delicious food. Slow cooked Lamb and pork cheek .... both were superb and great value too. If you're near Daylesford forget the main st and come to Blampied for a treat

Delightful country pub style with both traditional and slightly up market dining options. Family friendly. Dress casual or dress up, either way you'll feel comfortable. A little out of the way but worth it, and they have a courtesy bus for group bookings

We came for dinner with family. When we arrived we were a little shocked by the outside but as soon as we walked inside, we were blown away! The atmosphere was amazing, it was nice and warm inside. The service was brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious, the drinks selection was extensive with many local wines and beers on offer. We finished off our night with a couple of games of pool!

Dropped in for a meal on our last night in Daylesford. Slightly off the tourist route which means a more relaxed and casual setting which suited us down to the ground. A proper local pub with a good selection of beers and a well sorted menu with plenty of good quality dishes. We recommend the lamb shoulder.

Greeted with a friendly smile and received great service from the moment we opened the door, it was wet and cold outside so the warm and inviting interior made us very comfortable. Our meals came at the perfect time and let's just say they were perfect! The fresh salad had a lovely dressing, crispy chips cooked in very clean oil and the parma was juicy the crumb was crisp and the topping was just right. We would have stayed for desert but we were comfortably satisfied and didn't know if we could eat it all......we will definitely be back with friends or solo even if it's just to try the sticky date!

Fourth time we've been and once again NOT disappointed. Meal lovely, staff helpful and friendly, atmosphere relaxed. Grazing plate was very nice. Slow cooked pork cheek with flash vegies was beautiful. Slow cooked lamb shoulder on mash and jazzy vegies was perfect. Gourmet meals for this ordinary bloke. Plenty of seating and space, with different options. 2 open fires outdoors available with a separate function room. Beers on tap plus usual at the bar. Between Daylesford and Ballarat, definitely give it a go.

Ok so we're locals and thought we'd give this place a go!!! We knew Jim Frangos used to run Frangos and Frangos in the main strip but wasn't sure how regenerating this place would go. Well can l tell you all that our dinner tonight was by far the best we've had!!! I had the spaghetti marinara and my partner had the baby snapper!!! The quality and attention to detail was amazing!!! And tasted great!!! We would highly recommend this place!!! Whether for dinner or for a few cheeky beers, they are all over it!!! And the bearded dude behind the bar was exception!!! We'll be back!!!!
