The everleigh is the most wonderful experience with the kindest and most helpful and delightful staff i have met. The interior decor is simply stunning, matched with 1920-40s music to truly set an old world atmosphere. The cocktails here are the best i have ever had. Highly recommend.

The Everleigh is a fantastic cocktail bar. Fancy lighting and big old fashioned booths create the perfect ambience. They have a good selection of cocktails on their menu but I tried two bartender specials. We were served by a lovely bartender. I described to her what I like and she brought me two delicious cocktails of her choice based on my likes/dislikes. Sadly I had to leave early because of dinner plans but I plan to visit again soon and spend more time.

Hands down one of the best and classiest bars I have been to in Melbourne, albeit a bit expensive. You really get what you are paying for though. Everything sets this place apart, from the prohibition decade decor to the tailored drinks. Their ice is even impressive; made by them, crystal clear and in the form of blocks. The service is also super friendly, from the minute you enter. They make an effort to show you that they care about their customers.

Small curated selection of drinks on their menu but the skilled bartenders will make any drink that takes your fancy and they are very good at making personal recommendations according to your tastes. Beautiful, dark oak interiors with plush furniture. Overall a lovely spot for a drink.

Expect to pay minimum $23 for a cocktail including the bartenders choice (they make a drink based on your taste preferences). Cocktails De Luxe menu reaches up to $54 for a 1960s Martini. Live music during the week from 9pm to 11pm. Very quiet before 7pm.

I recently had my birthday party at the Everleigh in their newly renovated Elk Room. It was an absolute delight! The drinks were incredible (as usual) – my guests raved about the cocktails they had on the night! I was particularly impressed with the bartenders, who were positive and charismatic with all the guests throughout the night even though they were in high demand! They also remembered me & a couple of my guests from a previous night at the Everleigh which was impressive! For the function, I booked in the stationary cheese platter which went down a treat as well. The selection was varied and delicious, but also just enough to satisfy all of my guests. Everyone from the party is talking about the Everleigh and how they want to go back! The Elk Room is stunning and feels like an exclusive bar. My guests were in awe of the ambiance! Thank you to Bianca in particular, who put up with my e-mails, queries and over-the-top organisational needs for two years! I was totally blown away by your responsiveness and willingness to accommodate what I asked for. I would highly recommend booking the function rooms at the Everleigh for any event! (P.S. Delightful staff, delightful 40's jazz bar venue, the food was incredible and the drinks sublime. If you want to feel like a human again post lockdown couldn't recommend more highly. Perfect date or friend date spot.

Nice atmosphere. They do not have any sweet cocktails and when asked for a sweet bubbly cocktail instead produce both bitter and sour, which are nice in themselves but not sweet. The staff being able to produce cocktails to taste seems to be an affectation as they quite obviously have a list they can't easily deviate from with comments such as 'it usually doesn't come that way'. A request for a tall cocktail without the copious ice results in a small frothy champagne saucer with no champagne. Being told 'welcome back' on returning from the bathroom is also odd. Lovely place but needs more knowledgeable or seasoned staff.

One of the best cocktail bars I’ve ever been to - and I make it a point to try out the top rated cocktail bars in every country I visit. The entire staff was very friendly and happy to explain the bar details - they made the experience even better. There is a menu of cocktails and light bites but I just described what I liked and voilà, it was created and tasted delicious. They pay attention to small details in the creation of the drinks. Not just your average cocktail place, highly recommend a visit.

Returning to the Everleigh after a absence of six months reminded me of everything I love about this bar. The revamp has really improved the layout and it is more comfortable. However, the repartee of the waiting staff combined with their knowledge is what makes this bar truly exceptional! And, the bar staff make excellent cocktails! A must visit location.

The ambience, decor and overall speakeasy vibe was spectacular. We ordered the bar tender’s choice and loved the custom made cocktails tailored to our taste. The charcuterie board was delicious with a fresh bread selection and authentic meat choices. The one drawback was the really long wait times between drinks. We ordered a second round of drinks but after waiting for about half an hour asked to have it cancelled due to the wait. The host assured us the drinks were on the way - however I suspect the order had been forgotten as it took a further 20min for the drinks to arrive past this point. When they did arrive, we were initially served with the wrong drinks before being quickly rectified. We were prepared to try out a vast selection of cocktails however we were over it considering the long wait times. I would recommend the place as a must see for first time visitors. I will not be a returning customer given the points above.

A great bar in the heart of Fitzroy, with incredibly friendly staff who try and cater to what your drinking tastes are like, to a point where they sit down at your booth and chat to you individually about what you like, dislike and overall appreciate in a drink. If you're not into a lot of drinks like I am, they ask about whether you like your drinks sweeter, more bitter etc, so you don't need to pretend! Close to some good food places too, if you're looking for places to eat before the bar!

Truly an unbeatable experience in every regard. From the minute you ascend the stairs and enter it feels as though you're entering an alternate universe. The decor, service and most importantly the drinks are unparalleled in Melbourne. From the crystal clear ice, to the beautiful garnishes and delicious recipes, there is nothing to find fault with here. I look forward to every return trip.

A discerning establishment, with a price ticket to follow. The staff here welcome tippiling experts and fresh teetotalers. Ok guys. I've been thinking about four or five stars just because of service. Drinks itself are set up so high so you shouldn't be dissapointed, BUT the service itself.. Nah..
