BASIC PUB FOOD - REASONABLE FOR THE PRICE simple pub at the bay end of the street. The kind if place you'd go for a beer with friends on a weekend. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order via qr code on your table (or go up to the bar if you can't/ won't use the qr code). Service is not fast so if you are driving avoidthe 60 minute street parking spots. Toilet at rear of dining hall - all on one flat level but people with mobility issues may struggle negotiating the doors into the toilet area.

We had a great lunch with friends and family , the open area of the restaurant with Bayview is excellent. The $20 lunch promo is fabulous, a great value for money. It would be good if they also serve wagyu steak. We will be back to taste the other main meal.

we had the lunch special$20 which it incl. a free wine/beer or soft drink great meals there was a slight mix up but the mgr soughted out the confusion without fuss. wines were on the city restaurant end of prices i believe it should not be for a pub establishment. Overall we were very satisfied

Proximity to the bay makes this a perfect stopover for a couple of cold ones on a hot day. Especially so if you've put in a 5km walk on a hot day to get to the bay. Knocking off two stars purely cos the not so friendly barkeep asked me if I wanted lime in my corona(cerveza not sickness) and in spite or a board that said wait to be seated no one came over when we waited about 8 minutes so we chose to order from the bar and seat ourselves. All the food that passed me looked really good so perhaps next time? I don't know, maybe if I'm desperate for a drink and not too caring of the hospitality.

Used this place as refreshment stop for our day out cycling, the all-day breakfast was worth the trip alone. It had a smart, but informal interior, with a choice of seating, including booths. Held my boyfriends 40th in the upstairs function room last night. Not only was I blown away by the staff and venue, but all the guests had nothing but positive things to say about our choice of location. A great space, perfectly set up for our event. An unbelievable group of staff that took care of everything and anything with a smile and proactive attitudes. Will definitely be coming back for the next event. Thank you so much to Suzie and her team for making the night flawless and problem free. A perfect night made better than imagined by the venue and staff. Can’t speak highly enough. Oh, and the best espresso martini I’ve had in a long time!!

I probably wouldn't eat here again, but it wasn't the worst. They took ages to get our order out and when they did they mixed up our steaks. They also gave us food we never asked for and the lettuce served with the chicken teriyaki looked like it had been found down the back of the fridge. The steak was only $25 though and it was a big size and serving. Chicken was also quite good.

Upmarket Hotel at the beach end of Bay St in Port Melbourne. Well set up for sports on big screens and decent meals while watching. Dining available at both ground and upper levels. Big crowds, yuppy prices but good atmosphere. Staff are generally on the ball and the service was good even when busy. Good spot for a cold beer.

Nice old pub that has been recently restored, located just off the Boulevard. I paid $20 for a chicken parma with chips and salad. The parma was generous, seasoning on the chips delicious. Food is very well-priced in my opinion. Decent drinks list. Good beer on tap. Service staff were warm and friendly. I found it had a nice, welcoming atmosphere.

I hold an event here most months in the upstairs dining area. They are a delight to deal with, the food is great, the services is fantastic and friendly helpful staff. I look forward to working with these guys each and every time. Nothing is ever a bother and they go out of their way to make sure we are looked after. Highly recommend.

Went on a Tuesday night for the $10 All you can eat chicken wings. Definitely had my fair share and pretty tasty. Sriracha wings All the way. Service was great. Atmosphere was lovely. Not busy. And of course a decent selection of beers.

Cool pub and part of Port Melbourne . So close to the ocean & on a hot day its not far to travel for a dip to cool down get some Vitamin D then a short walk back for a meal, cool ale and a nice chat with the locals or just chill out. Check it out see for yourself "nothing ventured nothing gained"

I'm pleased to say The Local is quite literally my local. Friendly staff, good tunes, nice food and fresh beer. What's not to like? Oh yeah, as well as Melbourne's #1 game AFL, they show test match rugby which is right up my street.

Your basic pub. P-U-B. We went last week armed with a 2 for 1 voucher and got 2 (2 folks) Hopkins River Grain Fed 300 gram steaks with veggies and a pint of Mount Kosciuszko for $31.90. Me and the missus loved it. The missus is pregnant and I specifically asked if they could well done her steak and it was perfect (for her). My medium rare steak was perfect as well. A mate used to work at the Hopkins River feedlot south of Hamilton and they produce some of the best steak in the word. I remember he used to get them occasionally but I was reminded how magically good they were during this Local visit The service wasnt great as the hard working staff seemed 1 or 2 people short of a good service team but I could have visited on a night where someone took a sickie. We've eaten in the area but think this place is the pick. One critisism is that the plates reached the table not that steaming hot but the qulaity was great and they were cooked very well. Will go back regardless of wthether or not we have vouchers.
