Overnight Pub free stays are wonderful and the Plough Inn is up there with the best. We had lunch here and the food was top notch. Not just your normal tastless pub meal. My creamy chicken pie was hot which is just the way I like it and packed with taste. The Inn has a warm homely atmosphere enhansed by the nice publican and staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. 5+ Stars.

What a fabulous location had a lovely meal to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary siting out in the beer garden. Friendly service at a beautiful historic pub. Highly recommend will definitely be back.

What a wonderful old pub. Highly recommend you just drop in for a beer or a meal or both. The beer garden under the wisteria was very inviting and cool. The publican, Phil and his wife Cate could not be more friendly. The service excellent and the food was great. We will definitely be returning.

A fantastic place to meet friends for lunch.Kids were happy with plenty of space and Percy the pub pup to play with. Adults enjoyed eating under the wisteria in full bloom, great meals we had the lamb rack with a Salsa Verde, Tarra beef and King Schnitzels. It was a lovely place to enjoy a long awaited catch up with friends.

Beautiful service, beautiful place to sit outside. They actually serve edible real food. They dont follow the Darwin to Davenport Australian Tucker Rule. Chicken Kiev, hand full of mixed greens, 3 slices of tasteless tomato, 3 slices of cucumber, 5 bean shoots, 2 cap fulls of Italian dressing. Yuk.

Had lunch, which was fantastic, then sat outside in the beer garden. Just perfect on a sunny spring day. Girls enjoyed the Villa Fresco Prosecco and the boys enjoyed the Beechworth XPA. Hosts are great people, had such a good time, I'll just have to go back.

We used the overnight free parking for our self contained motorhome. It was a Friday night so had a few drinks by the fire ... great on a chilly evening. The place was lively, drinks cold and the dinner good. They readily catered for gluten free. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Another visit to Tarra for country pub camping. Phil the host - is very laid back and easy going person. We enjoyed a great time with the locals, sitting by the beautiful fire pit out the back. This rustic pub is nestled on the Wangaratta /Beechworth Rd. There are plenty of choices on the menu that offers meals of generous portions at reasonable prices. The wine list is exceptional and full of choices from quality local wineries. You can relax with live music on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon in the picturesque leafy shaded beer garden. The friendly hospitality of the owners and staff make you feel very welcome.

Wow! What an amazing pub meal and the best service! There on a Monday night for Parma - meal size was huge, just the perfect amount of topping and the chicken cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and head to this adorable location with lovely beer garden and grassed area. I am from Melbourne and will be returning with friends soon.

We called in yesterday for lunch and although the kitchen had only just opened, had access to the full menu. Our meals were superb and tasty. Smaller size meals were also on offer and still very much large enough to make our elderly aunt and uncle happy. The beer garden is relaxing and pet friendly. We will definitely be back. 👍

Great historical pub !!!!!!! Called in on the way back from Beechworth to finally have a beer from the Beechworth brewery on tap that they couldn't pour me due to being booked out . Well I got the beer I wanted & the tarrawingee pub got the business. Thumbs up to the publician 👍👍👍👍

Great to have Plough Inn open again with the new owners. Simple menu at moment but all dish well cooked and lovely based on the 3 our group chose. Short winelist right now but some nice drops to choose from with resonable mark-ups. Can't go wrong with 2017 Pfeiffer Carlyle Shiraz which was drinking beatifully. Went the first night of daylight savings and it was a warm evening perfect to sit outside in the garden. Easily worth the 15min drive out of Wangaratta so drop in to have a coffee, beer or meal with Cate & Phil.

For those who haven`t been to the Plough Inn Tarrawingee, do yourself a favour and try it. The National Trust Heritage listed building is the location of the hotel which is 20 minutes south of Beechworth in North East Victoria. "More than just a pub meal" the restaurant quality meal is up there with the best restaurants in Beechworth and I can assure you that is saying something. As this was our first time we were both amazed and did not expect the quality of food and wine that was delivered. Congratulations, we will be back.

I visited the Plough at Tarrawingee shortly after it opened and it was one of the more pleasant surprises I've ever had - the beer garden is to die for- the food was excellent - as it was midafternoon we had a snack - and the local Beechworth beer was excellent.
