Nice spacious pub with great atmosphere, excellent customer service and good offerings from their menu. Keep an eye out on their daily specials that are great value for money every Mondays to Thursdays. Will be back again and again.

Firstly I would start with the staff, they were warm and friendly, make you feel really comfortable. Secondly the ambience it's really cool! I really liked the interiors and it's really comfy in there. Third the food, it was absolutely amazing, everything was fresh, hot and well seasoned. I had this salmon and it was really well done! Credit to Vishal ! Would definitely recommend my friends and visit again.

I live local and been a regular visitor at The Wayside inn had to check out this place after the new management took over, must say a very busy Monday night , Monday night special Bourbon glazed pork ribs was the highlight. Excellent service provided by the staff, very welcoming. Good selection of beers good vibe. Drinks and food fairly priced .You guys nailed it.

Came here with my family for dinner and was so pleasantly surprised with the food & the service! Lovely people, so patient and helpful with our two toddlers. Between the 6 adults we pretty much ordered one of everything on the menu and every meal was absolutely beautiful!! We will be back soon! 🙂🙂

Hands down the best burgers in Melbourne. The staff are amazing and very courteous. We organised a birthday party here and they helped us in all possible ways to make it a grand event. Everyone absolutely loved the food and it just kept coming. Have visited this place a couple of times and keep trying different things on the menu as it is all so delicious. This place is a must visit if you are around the corner.

Great asian entrees - samosa etc - highly recommended - fresh flavours and nice chilli heat. Good range of burgers not tried by me, mine was steak served with chips / nice flavours, side sauce well made. Steak just slightly over cooked. Good wine list (not huge but good wines), St Hallett Shiraz 👍 Staff friendly and tolerant of my rowdy behaviour. Coffee machine not working - just a tip to restaurants- we like to finish our evening meals with coffee because two of us travel large distances and need to stay awake.

Do yourself a favour and visit this pub. We had a birthday celebration here and I couldn't recommend it more highly. I haven't actually eaten here but I'm giving 5 stars due to the friendliness and great atmosphere. As a casual delivery rider, I've collected orders from here many times and on each visit, the staff are so friendly, they ask if I want to take a seat... They also offer water on those hot days, so they're very empathetic! Some restaurants treat drivers badly and tell them to wait outside, even in 35c heat but some don't realise the torment a driver faces in an average week, battling the heat and cold, facing abusive customers and arrogant merchant staff, along with dangerous drivers that wouldn't care if they run into a rider. From more than 2500 deliveries, I recognise Wayside Inn as the friendliest and most welcoming... Thank you. :)

Had a scoopon deal with this hotel, I must say it was the best value for money I've had in ages. My only concern, not enough time between courses. Our mains arrived while we were still having our starters. Very friendly and courteous staff, drinks well priced good sized portions. Would go again.

Went over the weekend with a few friends and this place was exceptional! First off, the place is well laid out (meals and for drinks) and you have heaps of options including an outdoor beer garden with heaters (for when we were there over a chilly evening). The staff were all so very friendly and professional, they really make you feel comfortable and at home, went above and beyond to provide an enjoyable experience. Superb ambience overall 👌👌 Then the food.. off the bone pork ribs, sliders to die for, the prawns.. oh all so yum, fresh and hot 😋😋 😋 I cannot highly rate this place enough. Will definitely be back. This was our 2nd time at the venue and we were always looked after very well. The service is very good, friendly and prompt. Our lil one was spoiled by art and craft creations. Do not let me start on the food...everytime we ordered different items and they never dissapointed. The flavours of each individual item was tickling our tastebuds and was a full explosion of flavours. We love the atmospehere which is welcoming and warm. Suitable for families, office work dinners, mates catch ups or just a casual date for couples. Definately a go to place in summer...with a nice cosy and relaxing outdoor area. We will continue to come back for more of those amazing dishes.

No doubt Wayside Inn is an amazing place to have some fun and good time with friends or family. I booked this place for my husband’s birthday party, we had friends and family who joined us for drinks and dinner. We had the best time. I’m so glad to have Vinay pre-organising food platters and everything else so well. The food was so delicious we all enjoyed it. Pork Ribs and Burgers were the best. The staff were so friendly and amazing to deal with, they also provided the kids at the party with some colouring charts and colour proactively to keep them entertained. They made us feel warm and welcomed. For sure we will be booking this place for future parties / functions here. Definitely worth visiting this place for either casual dinner and drinks or to organise a family or corporate parties.

Me and two mates had lunch there a few Saturdays ago. Amazing. Oysters to start, then excellent steaks and cheese and pudding. The red wine that was recommended went perfectly and we left feeling very satisfied. Our waiter was great and we're definitely heading back.

I come here mainly with work colleagues for Friday lunches. Great bar lunch menu, with great selection of beers on tap. Service is usually quite quick and they'll generally let you know if there'll be a delay because of large functions etc. Sometimes pop in for an after work drink and they have a great happy hour. Lovely interior and relaxed vibe. Only thing we miss now is the steak sandwich, it was so good!

Went there with a large group and had booked in advance. Were out of a lot of the mains and only a few serves of others. Did steak specials for us but most were inconsistent cuts and were overdone. Made up a little bit with on the house appetisers and a nice wine selection. May go back in future with a smaller group to get a better representation.

I've had to update my review as the Wayside seems to have really turned a corner recently. The staff were friendly and attentive, the happy hour special is the best I've ever seen and the chips are fantastic. Looking forward to coming in on a Tuesday for the Parma special and some rounds of pool. Great work team, the updated Wayside is a great place to be and the staff were excellent.

Beautiful atmosphere I love the outside area very cozy warm and friendly. Delicious food from the menu great range of drinks and wines (HALF PRICE EVERYDAY ALL DAY) I don't think I need to say more 😁 Heaps of parking on the side of the road free after 6 pm but also there's a parking 5 minute walking distance and it's cheap as well.

The wife had the prawns for entrée and said they were so good she didn't want to even give me a taste. My mate had the chicken and got the same result. We recently had our wedding lunch function at the Wayside Inn. From the start we couldn’t have been happier. Upon our enquiry we were immediately contacted by Cherie, the functions manager. She was welcoming and friendly, and quickly ascertained what we were wanting for our function. From that first enquiry right up until our function, Cherie was continually attentive to our needs and never left us feeling like we were unsure as to what was going on. So by the time we turned up to the Wayside, we felt confident in having a lovely function. What we did not expect was the venue manager Ben standing out on the street waiting to greet us! It was such a wonderful start and made us feel so welcome. We were then led upstairs to a lovely function room, with our own private bar and bartender, and an outside deck with city views. The welcoming feeling continued with Ben offering us all some excellent wines, and cocktails before we sat down to eat. Nothing was rushed, and we were made to feel that our own pace was fine. When we did eat (a la carte menu) we absolutely loved what we had! Scallops or a beetroot salad for entree, possibly the best scotch fillet steak I’ve ever had for lunch (or chicken – which apparently was good, but why didn’t you get the steak..?), and then the most amazing crème brulee for dessert. Sweet! The service was fantastic, attentive but not obtrusive. Ben (venue manager) was there the whole time ensuring that everything was to our liking. The food was brilliant, service excellent and the wine was delicious. Could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Wayside!

Ok, but please, say hello when people walk in.. greet them..engage with them. The food is good but the general atmosphere feels like nobody is in control. Work the customers, walk around and be there for people. Don't forget the customer wants you to look after them. Good luck folks!
