A nice place to spend a night out having casual drinks with good company. Great priced drinks and decent food. (Find me a nicer spot where I can get a Chivas under $10 all night long) Staff, especially Ming, made for a welcoming and friendly vibe that you don't normally find in gaming venues. The staff were friendly and chatty and the place hd a positive atmosphere. Definitely looking to return and even take up a membership to get discounted drinks and food.

This place is lovely. I come here on Saturday to catch up with friends, have a meal a few drinks. Venue is spotless, staff are very friendly and helpful. They have big screen TVs for your sporting pleasure, TAB kiosk and a large gaming room. The thing I like the most is they have security there and I feel safe attending on my own. The food is good the drinks are cold and you’ll be welcomed with open arms.

Finally a gaming room & bar that allows tequila slammers! Most gaming rooms opt out of serving hard liquor but not this place ! Thank God for small miracles! Be prepared tho if you don't have current valid photo iD the man at the door will refuse you entry. So come prepared!

Over priced ham and cheese toasties $18 for 2. But was friendly staff but machines were mean. But got a few free bottles of coke. Good customer service

The staff were awesome - friendly and helpful. The meal was great except for the salad that consisted of lettuce and 3 pieces of tomato not a salad at all. The facility is aimed at gaming though not somewhere to meet up for a meal!

I call at Welcome Stranger once a week for coffee and read the papers in my morning break from Volunteering @ the Salvation Army and come back again for lunch and a drink when I finish. The staff are cheerful and efficient, the food is good and reasonably priced - all in all a great place to go with poker machines at the back if you're interested.

Negatives: when we went there almost every pokies machine had a reserve side on it. Considering this establishment was making an absolute killing with gambling, the drinks were not cheap. Positives: the Staff were hospitable.

There are a number of great battles which go on under the great loose carpet of common experience. One of such battles is that which combats gentrification, and only a handful of pubs (tankerville, northern bingo club, etc), are winning that fight. Welcome stranger is not only winning, it is making people re-evaluate their stance upon the issue. What is left when each venue is trying to out do themselves with craft beer, fancy cocktails, and ever dimming, ever reddening lighting? When each venue attempts to be different from each other, while still remaining within the same 2018/19 framework of commercially viable trendiness, where does one go for true sincerity? I would argue they go to the Welcome Stranger.

It’s not as convenient as the industry leader Clocks beside Flinders Street Station, but it’s still a good place. I was once searching for a quiet spot to do some last minute prep for a job interview and did it happily here. I knocked the job back though.

My experience at that pokies venue was destroyed after I learned that ARENA mario was a security guard employee. I do not want to go back to that venue as long as that individual is an employee as it has breached intervention order in the past with its family members. That made me feel unsafe with my family members at that public place.

Look, when you go to the welcome stanger you probably gunna have a bad time, but when you got cheap beer, empty smoking lounge and is open late you really don't mind that it smells like off dick and gambling addiction. PS: Not thirty paces from the entrance the foul smell of shattered dreams and broken families offends my nostrils... ah well i know what I'm signing up for. Like a desperate man giving up a kidney I'm pushing into the darkness believing in hope that isn't there. The smell is overcome and second thoughts muted. Time is against me and losing isn't an option. My eyes roll back into their sockets as the security waves me through. Couldn't they have stopped me. A few seconds pause to reconsider? No. The huddled racing affecionados screaming at animated greyhounds can't stop me, nothing can. Winning is what I'm about.

The first one is facing the road, so it's right next to the entrance so you can see it. The other is very difficult to understand because it is behind the game corner. It may not be understood if it is the first time. However, since a halogen heater is installed on the ceiling of the smoking space in the back, it can be used without problems even in winter. That ’s great for smokers. (Original) タバコが吸えるバーです。店内はゲームコーナーが設置されてるためか、バーというよりかはファミレスみたいな感じです。そのため、とても入りやすいですね。夜時間は年齢確認がされるので、パスポートや身分を証明できるものがあるといいですね。喫煙スペースは二箇所。一つ目は道路に面してるかて、入り口のすぐそばにあるため、わかるはず。もう一つは、ゲームコーナーの奥にあるため、とてもわかりづらいです。初見だとわからないかもですね。しかし、奥の喫煙スペースの天井にハロゲンヒーターが設置されているので、冬でも問題なく利用できます。喫煙者にとっては非常に有難いですね。
