Great lunch. The Manager was very good, arranging an indoor table at short notice to save us from the unexpected rain downpour outside!! The place was very busy but the food came out promptly. Pizza was amazing, carbonara, fish and chips, tasty! And chicken sushi bowl, delicious. Very impressed, thanks to all the staff.

Absolutely beautiful venue but average food and service. On the day we visited it felt heavily understaffed, despite there not actually being that many people there. The staff all seemed exhausted and weren’t warm or welcoming. We were given a dirty drinks tray to take our drinks to our table, so in terms of cleanliness it was a bit off-putting. The beer garden was also dirty with quite a bit of rubbish on the floor and again, the staff just seemed too busy or uninterested to notice. In terms of our food we were satisfied but it wasn’t something that you’d go back for over all the other competition down here. Scallop ceviche looked beautiful but was a bit overpowered by the fennel. The other additions such as the avocado were tasty. Would visit again but probably only for drinks and opt for the balcony overlooking the lake rather than the beer garden.

Wonderful location, with great lake views and gardens. Friendly and quick service even though they were quite busy. One of the few places that took walkins which was great as we had no reservations. Thr food was tasty and the beers were yum. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars was the kids play are where their slide had a bigcrack/hole in it which was not fixed nor was there any sign tell us to keep our kids off it. My son got a graze on his leg on the way down.. Please fix this potential accident waiting to happen.

Good food but the amount of prawns in the pizza was lack luster for nearly $30. The kingfish sashimi is nice but this place has more wow than substance. Not sure I’ll be returning again unless I’m showing it to a visitor new here.

Beautiful food and drinks, cool paddle options. Sat outside next to the lake, picturesque. Food servings way bigger than you'd expect for the price, definitely worth it. Will definitely come again.

What a great place. The food exceptional. Kingfish sashimi was every bit as god as you get in Japan, artistic and a more Aussie rendition, but delicious. The special pizza, perfect. Excellent effort in the kitchen. The Bao Bao Port, every bit as advertised, less bitter than usual. The Ginger Beer every bit as good as home grown.

We were staying at a lovely retreat near by the Black Brewing Co and thought it sounded great for a nice Sunday lunch. It did not dissapoint. The service was friendly and we were made welcome by every staff person that approached. The food was lovely and the servings were more then we could finish. The beer was amazing, next time I'll take a cab and try the gin samples which I was told by others on the day, were very nice. Overall an enjoyable afternoon.

A great place for some nice food and a cold pint in a great atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the cider which wasn't overs weet and very refreshing. Outside there is plenty of room for the kids to run about and go mad in the play area as well as well as exploring the grounds around the lake. We shall be back 👍🍻😎

Had the family travel from Albany and Perth to come here and celebrate my grandads 80th Birthday, and we're happy to accommodate 9 people. Location was GORGEOUS!! The Crew were very welcoming, helpful and kind. We all ordered an array of dishes and drinks. Beef burgers were divine, pizzas were loaded with delicious toppings, and their donuts were amazing. We had the pleasure of dining at Black Brewing on Easter Sunday. The place was humming with no spare tables available. Fortunately we had booked in advance for a big group of 22. Expecting a long wait for the food, we were pleasantly surprised by the super quick service. The food was delicious, and my Cumin Roasted Pumpkin Cous Cous Salad was outstanding! Highly recommended.

Wedding venue review only (external caterer did the food). Ceremony across the bridge provided a lovely backdrop to say your vows. Be sure to check the gardens in the season you want your event as they may not be lush, green and flowering in a different season. Pre-reception canapes and drinks in the 'Beer Garden' was picturesque and relaxing. Reception in the 'Cellar Door and Deck' area suited the cocktail style wedding. Staff on the night were exceptional! Toilet cleanliness was the let down at this venue. It didn't appear to have been cleaned from the full day trading as a brewery and restaurant prior to the wedding. Also there was no Covid-19 cleaning during the night.

Great brews - the pale ale and IPA were particularly good. The lager is a lovely crisp clean taste. The mid-strength was probably the weakest in the lineup by simply being okay. Food was amazing. The fried chicken was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Squid was tender and done extremely well. Highly recommend visiting for a meal and a drink (or three).

Very nice place to eat and drink my carbonara pizza was absolutely amazing but we also got the gamberi pizza which was less then satisfactory, I was really unimpressed with it. ( not much flavour and very watery) Besides from that had an excellent experience.

Such a beautiful place to go for lunch on a sunny day. The stout and the lager beers are delicious. But I have one recommendation and it’s the reason why I’m not giving 5 stars: you should use a cheese substitute on the vegan pizza. It’s not fulfilling enough, I ate the whole pizza and I’m still hungry, and also was lacking flavour because of this reason.

We had a excellent experience here yesterday and felt this place deserves a higher rating than it currently does. The whole complex has been developed with the customer experience in mind. The main draw card is the incredible dam that you look out upon. Sunday specials included free kids meals, $10 pints and a really great live musician. The energy of the place was relaxed, friendly and with a touch of class. The beer is excellent and they have a nice rotation of different styles. The food was really good and well priced against surrounding options. Stand outs where the cauliflower and the Asian salads. This place has something for anyone. There are different spaces throughout which have different feels- inside overlooking the dam is quite elegant and then outside tables near the kids playground are more casual. We will definitely be coming back :)

Dropped in for lunch and drink. First the place is very pretty. Lovely entrance, indoor and outdoor seating, playground for kids. On top of the fine beers there is also vodka and gin on tap. We had a tasting paddle the slow braised beef, bread, scallops and chicken wings. The beef was the beat meal we had in Margaret river. The scallops were lovely and the chicken wings were good with the sauce but a little to bready without. The staff were very friendly. They have very large portions so bri g an appetite.

Here you’ll find the freshest craft beers and food from some of the finest micro brewers in the region. All served by friendly staff in a stunning setting. Set in an immaculate modern establishment over looking their own dam and surrounded by vineyards, the good people here at Brewers Collective will certainly look after you. Great indoor tables overlooking the dam as well as many great outdoor table options for large or small groups. You can expect great service from friendly and relaxed staff. Emma, the restaurant manager was very welcoming and made made us feel a part of the family. We also had a chance to meet and chat with Adam, one of the Black Brewing brewers. What a legend. Thanks for chatting with me and our crew about all things beer and brewing related! The consensus from myself and the in-laws (who were visiting from San Diego, the land of micro craft brewing) was that the Fresh Ale and IPA was some of the best we’ve tried in a very long time. We were very thankful for the spontaneous brewery tour that you took us on and your love and passion for your work is very evident. So thanks again to Adam, Emma and especially the ‘Gunslinger’ for hooking us up.

An overall pleasant visit. The entrance is very impressive with the ponds and koi fish swimming about. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The pizza is huge and easily fed two. Would have loved to indulged in a few more of the beers, alas I had to steer us towards home once we were finished. Seems like this would be a great venue with live music. Whilst the kids playground is a welcome addition, it needs a bit of attention and looks a bit sad in its current state. A lot of the signage was also missing lettering which drew my attention. Definitely a solid option if exploring the area.

I don’t understand anyone not giving this establishment a five star review. Let’s start with the beers, bloody sensational!!! Paddle is very reasonably priced, every beer showcased the brewer’s ability, which is exceptional!!! I particularly liked the lager, IPA, and raspberry sour if I was to pick 3 favourites. The lager took me back to my childhood stealing sips of dad’s beer(fosters, haha) but so so so much better! So clean and crisp with a subtle lager aftertaste!! The IPA was astounding, not too overwhelming but still with the IPA punch everyone loves!!! The raspberry sour even though sour still had enough sweetness for the flavours of raspberry to remain. The food was so fresh and delicious, with huge portions for the price. I could tell the chefs love their craft, every plate had balanced flavour and finesse. As my girlfriend put it, “the best pizza I have had outside Italy”. The staff here were fun and great, having a bit of banter and a laugh with me whilst talking about the food and beer. All in all the experience of this place cannot be missed when in the Margaret River Region, highly recommended!!!

Name of place didn't quite match the exterior of the estate, but once indoors, the vibe felt just like a hip edgy brewery should. The food was absolutely brilliant and on point. Miso cabbage slaw was not just a fail safe but very refreshing as an appetizer. The cured salmon dish was a burst of textures! The chicken wings made us go for round 2! Beers were good. Walked away with a couple 4-packs.

Black Brewing Co has a cellar door, restaurant, craft brewery ( beers, ciders, spirits) all rolled into one. It's in a stunning estate with a grand entrance and beautiful water views.The beers are great ( didnt taste the wines..next time) my favourite was the Extra Pale Ale. Service was fantastic, thank you Steph for your professional explanation about the beer and the history of the place....you rock! Definitely will be back when we go down to South again :-)

A little disappointed/surprised that the meals we selected were served cold (refrigerated cold - from the description we were expecting at least 2 of the meals to be hot) but still thoroughly enjoyed the food. Seemed like good value for the serving size too. Service staff seemed uninterested even though the venue was almost empty and some of the staff seemed dressed a little casual / scruffy. Not sure what the dirt stuck in the bottom of my glass was, but not a pleasant surprise on finishing my beer. Also no written beer list/menu available??? I'd visit again, but only for the food

Very impressed with Black Brewery after last night's wedding celebration. Here are the great stuff: Ale/Beer/Stout and wine superb (had 1 each). Food is delicious. To me, the key to this place is the beer. They have a good range of offerings, all of which are very high standard. I would like to see some more challenging brews in the 7+% range, but their IPA is outstanding. I visited with my mum and kids at the tail-end of what had clearly been a very busy public holiday lunch service in the school holidays so the staff were understandably stretched and quite possibly a bit frazzled, so our service left a great deal to be desired. I informed the duty manager, Evan, of the grievances I had with the service, and he dealt with my complaint in a very patient, graceful and professional manner. I'll be back for the beer, and hopefully sample the menu in greater depth.

The staff seemed a bit run off their feet but that’s to be expected with a lack of backers helping out. You will need to book if you want to come here. Food was great and the beers were good too!

This place is probably the most unique brewery in the Margaret River area. It's great because it's not the general pub grub and it has a huge selection of craft beers, wines and gin. It's a really awesome venue too and very relaxed atmosphere.

Besides salads, chips, and bread with oil, there was just one item on the menu for veggies. While the veggie noodle dish (warning: contains peanuts) was very nice, the "sharing size" portions were rather small and the "take it or leave it" attitude does not really qualify as a choice if you are sick of chips and salads. Won't be bothering again.

I cant get enough of the beer at this place! The pilsner is amongst the best I've had with a nice malt backbone and super crisp hops. Every time I've had this beer it's tasted fresh. The hefeweissbier is also very nice with a great German banana and clove yeast character. Medium body, cloudy in appearance and a creamy head. So delicious! The altbier has that awesome peppery bitterness of the spalter hop. It's a difficult style of beer to find in Australia so definitely worth trying. I haven't had many altbier but this is certainly a tasty brew. The Dunkel has a great malt flavour but not too heavy in the body. Very nice. I like to finish the day with one of these.
