Lovely venue, lots of indoor and outdoor space, would be awesome in the evening. We shared a delicious steak sandwich, nice range of beers on tap. Staff were very friendly

Great venue. Atmosphere is fantastic. Was busy with everyone having a great time. Awesome service barman remembered my order which is always great. Quick bar service too even when it was pumping busy.Really central and easy to get to. Taxis easy to catch at end of the night. I have also been here for a quiet drink on a weekday great place to do that too, with plenty of seating areas and also a large outdoor area too.

We went to the Empire for the first time last week and what a pleasant surprise. The menu was better than expected and definitely not just pub food. The ‘Poke’ sashimi bowl was brilliant. Good wine list too. We’ll be back there soon.

First time at Empire Bar. Great spot. Variety of seating/tables indoor and out. All areas were well presented and clean. Decent amount of shade outside from the shade sails. Was a very hot day when we went and the aircon inside was working beautifully 👍🏻 Nice menu with a good selection. We went at lunchtime and ordered Scotch Steak Sandwiches (add beetroot) for lunch which came out in good time. They were delicious. Steak was just the right thickness and perfectly cooked - very tender. All other ingredients were nice and fresh. House made onion rings were a yummy addition. Meal was very filling. Drinks were icy cold. Would love to go back and try some of the other menu items - some of the share plates sounded amazing and the one on the table next to us looked the bomb! Could not fault the place on our visit today.

Visited the Empire last night and impressed with the vibe and quality of Darren Reid Soul City Groove. The Empire Bar a beautiful establishment with a huge central peristyle beer garden, sixties impressionist large floor to ceiling windows long bar and cubicles. Great staff, beautiful venue... this is a beautiful venue.

Love this pub! Staff are friendly, meals are generous and reasonably priced and good variety of drinks. Great venue, plenty of different sections to suit a variety of tastes. Wednesday $15 Burger Special was bloody good, go the bacon for the extra $2, you won't regret it.

Good atmosphere. Don’t know why music needs to be so loud you can’t hear a person next to you yelling. Drinks were disappointing. Went with my diabetic friend and I wasn’t drinking. While they had drinks at the bottle shop to cater for our needs they didn’t offer anything at the bar except water or Coke Zero mixer. Don’t understand why they couldn’t bring some zero alcohol drink or sugar free drinks from the bottle shop to the bar.

Really nice pub these days. Large, spacious and modern. Food was nice and there was good selection of drinks. Beers on the pricier side, but standard for the area. Big screen for sports. Decent sized function rooms. Only issue was that the men's toilets could do with a clean/mop every once in a while. We were there from 7 to 12, and not once was the men's toilet cleaned, when it definitely needed to be thanks to the dirty lads who missed the urinals. Overall, it was a good time, and I'll be back.

This place is a great improvement from the previous establishment. Big areas, great food! I went on a monday but ive heard it gets busy after sports events and the weekends. But if you want a quieter evening then weekdays could be good!

Went to a reserved event here and the staff were very professional, but as the venue is quite open air there is much left to be desired in the terms of sound proofing, to be expected but makes the venue reliant on the general crowd that day. Drinks were reasonably priced, and food came frequently but not to the point to cause annoyance.

Very good, quick, considerate service. Well presented and very nice food. Don't however, if you have sensory issues, go. The decor is very nice and big Tv's everywhere, but if you have autism or any neurological disorder, you might want to avoid. I got massive sensory overload from the restaurant area alone. It's not the venues fault. Their usual customer isn't autistic or neurological challenged. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

Family and friends booked a section of the pub for a wake. Service at the bar was good and the finger food was good. 4 stars and not 5 due to bar tab not set up for guest drinks... as they had to pay for drinks till the tab was organised by the pub. Also food (initially) came out too slow. Sort those concerns out and it would have been an even better experience.

What a refreshing place this is. Friendly service from all staff. Bar and Restaurant. Superb food. Prices are what you see elsewhere but the quality of food set it apart from so many other Bars/Restaurants. My daughter had her 21st Family bash there. A fairly large booking, where not everyone was staying for dinner. Some just a quick bite and others for the long haul. Everywhere we contacted prior to Empire wanted set menus and deposits. Not appropriate for our group. Empire had no problems in taking the booking without deposit, everyone paying their own bill and allowed us to bring our cake without adding a charge. Everyone commented on the quality of the food. Thanks Empire. Service and quality can still be found. 5 stars!

I found this bar to be bright, fun, interesting for the 4 bar set up. A good crowd. Music was a tad loud, but the singer/band was entertaining and on key. For those that smoke? The central open area with tables and heaters is a nice place to enjoy. The beer was reasonably priced. Plenty of choice, not just beer, but spirits and for those of us driving? A goodly selection of soft drinks, mixers.

I did not head inside the Empire Bar today, although i have been here before under a variety of names. It's a good solid pub. Not pretentious, yet the food above country meal quality and presentation. Go in with your hi-vis on during off peak hours- I reckon I'd put on my best button up shirt for the weekend for some quality tail appears out of nowhere Sure they keep rejecting me- just takes me closer to a yes...

Would I recommend it to others again for their birthday.. not likely unfortunately it was too loud and the food was okay.. for the price we paid.. wish I had just ordered a pizza, also they asked us if we want separate billing we would have to go to the bar to get our drink which is understandable but this just meant most of us didn't bother getting many drinks.. but doing a split bill for the 20 of us was ideal.

Unfortunately, first impressions count. Sunday dinner was a disappointment. We ordered bread for our party of four, but that didn't arrive. Two of us ordered the succotash which had us wading through the fennel looking for the solitary mushroom. Not at all up to the expectations provided by the menu. The spaghetti dish was strangely light on the pasta. Though staff were attentive they seemed casual about the kitchen's slapdash attitude. Would we make a return visit? No!
