Course is short and can be tricky due to tight tree line and sloppy green. Over all it is relax and enjoyable.

Wasn't impressed with the driving range. The little shop and food service area have been lost in time. Needs a pot of money spending to bring it up to Wembley golf course standards. I'd expect better of the location

The course is now friendlier after some intimidating branches has been cut. It is a good move to make it more enjoyable & better scores. Also it will help to speed up the game. Good for everyone.

Good little public course. Basic and not much in the way of complexity or hazards, but the fairways and greens are maintained pretty good and the people are pretty friendly. Can do much worse. Attached tavern is average but lots of other stuff around locally.

Difficult course for me. The fairways are narrow!!! Many bunkers guarding the greens. Long course. Hilly too so there are some blind spots. Challenging all around.

First 9 holes took 2hr 40 as the course was so busy. No one fixing pitch marks on the greens. Back 9 holes 1hr 20. Shame as I do like the course.

Hamersly Public Golf course is along the coast, near the sea. The course is a bigger and longer than Marangroo golf course, some fair ways a little nerrower, but there's 6 of 5 par holes for ladies, total length 18 holes is 5777 meters for men. There's wild life, lots of birds especially in spring time, the Magpies are very active there, but no kangaroos! (Their home is at Marangroo golf course 🤣) A very pleasant experience there, see breeze comes easily, not so crowded like at Marangroo course.

Played there today with my sons and we enjoyed it very much. Well maintained course. Even though we are all beginners we found it very good. Recommend it to anyone.

I find Hammersley great fun and a fair challenge. The bunkers on the first are not the only hazzard because the trees have grown and thickened up and strategies need to be taken. The fairways and greens are usually like carpet although some of the grades or falls of the land can be frustrating on some holes. No hole is unattractive with plenty of birds and other wildlife . The layout means wind is generally not an issue but if there is a breese its against you on one hole but with you on the next but the best part is the price for what you get there.

Team, please pay more attention to moving play along., I don’t have the mental capacity to wait for a party of four to all look for each others ball then try to hit out of dense bush and not be ready to take the next shot or putt, it ruins the game. Hammersley is a very nice course and Clarke is a good guy, just need to keep play moving, new rules should mean for more enjoyable golf.
