Great service and atmosphere over looking the Swan River at Elizabeth Quay.
The menu had a great variety of choices, and the food was good, although I enjoyed the entrees more than mains.

Every dish was well presented and very tasty, the view was amazing at sunset from the balcony, just make sure to book your seat early.

One of my favourite city restaurants. Located on the top floor of Quay Hotel. You can enjoy pre-dinner drinks on balcony which has the best views of Elizabeth Quay. The food is Asian fusion share plates. I wish it was open for lunch every day as it gets booked out quite quickly.

Had dinner at HQ - the location is great with views over Elizabeth Quay. However the prices weren’t cheap and the food wasn’t great. My wife’s Char Siu was tasty but dry, and my rib eye steak was honestly pretty terrible. Chewy and full of gristle - not a nice piece of meat. When you pay $35 for a main and $28 for a side, you expect better food than this. Service was good.

Incredible Perth views, the best in Elizabeth Quay.
Situated in The Quay hotel on the top floor the beautiful modern relaxed interior invites you to stay for a drink and a few bites.
If you opt to stay for a full meal you won't be disappointed with the Asian fusion menu serving top quality dishes at a very reasonable price for a city hotel of its standing.

It was my first time at HQ Bar and Kitchen restaurant when my friend invited us to a birthday dinner held there.
We had a 60 people crowd!
I was initially skeptical about the quality of the food as our 60 people crowd was quite a handful to accommodate at one shot. However, the quality of food did not disappoint. It was fusion Chinese-western cuisine. Most dishes had a slight twist to it and they weren’t typical dishes that I will see in other restaurants.
before the dishes arrived, I tried the Honey lemon fizz cocktail which was so refreshing! My friend wanted a sour but there wasn’t one on the menu, so the bartender made her a special one! Super fruity and yummy, it had fresh grapefruit and other fruits in it. We were both very impressed that the bartender was so happy and willing to go beyond the menu.
Dishes that I recommend:
- Seared duck breast with jellyfish
- Roasted cauliflower
- Five spices shoestring fries
- Wet-aged seared beef
- Five spice lamb ribs
- Salted egg yolk Lava Cake
In short, I would highly recommend everyone to go visit the restaurant and enjoy Perth’s pretty city view with extremely delicious food and drinks!

Went for their promotion special of Bottomless bao today. Price was reasonable for $25 pp for unlimited baos ordering. Customer service was great and we got to choose from 3 different varieties (pork, oyster mushrooms or barrumandi). I had 4 sets and was extremely food. Each set comes with 2 x baos of the same kind.
Would have been better if the baos were actually steaming hot and to have the sauce on the inside of the bao, instead of drizzling over the top.

Delicious food, unique cocktails and amazing views over Elizabeth Quay.
The service at HQ bar is excellent. Very friendly professional, attentive staff. Will definitely be coming back.

Hotel bar with a nice view
I had some drinks after work here on a Monday, there were some other people around, mainly hotel guests. Great view from the 10th floor, the balcony maybe a bit tight to accommodate a big group outside. Inside there are more tables, most of them set up for the restaurant. Modern music on the background, volume ok for a bar, not sure if they turn it down when dinner starts.
Good selection of wine and beers on the menu, also some craft beers which is good.
Friendly service, plenty of waiters so you don't have to wait.

Friendly staff great cocktails. Food is good enough but I still don't understand servings of 3 duck tacos for 2 people. Awesome view Over Elizabeth Quay

We decided to go check this place out as it has such a beautiful view and also a restaurant new in Perth CBD.
We were 30mins late for our table booking. Lucky the restaurant still kept our table.
We were greeted by the friendly waitress, and she showed us to our table.
We decided to order a few entrees, the first one is the Crispy soft-shell crab with sriracha cream sauce, it's very tasty, and you can't go wrong for the soft shell crab. The second entree, we ordered the Lamb ribs in Xinjiang spice in sticky spiced soy, crispy lotus roots. This entree dish is a highlight, and the lamb ribs cooked perfectly; it created harmony in flavours, the salty and sweet were just right.
For mains, we ordered the Jumbo prawns, salted egg sauce on potato nest, goji berries. I like the salted egg with prawns. It's very tasty; the goji berries are just for the colour. The goji berries didn't have much flavours to it.
The second main we ordered Seared wet-aged beef, shaved asparagus, diced cucumber, crispy bamboo mushrooms, fermented bean dressing. The meat cooked to the right texture, soft and it melts into your mouth.
For dessert, we ordered the dessert board, it came with all these, Redgum Honey cake with handmade pistachio ice cream Cinnamon dusted churros with Belgian chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream Chocolate lava filled with egg yolk custard and vanilla ice cream Honeycomb gelato with sliced fruits, honey crumb. It's good for more than two people. It was way too much for us, but it was good!
They have the best view in town. There is an outdoor area that you can sit out and enjoy a glass of wine. The glass is high enough to stop the wind.
It's good good spot for sunset drinks.

This restaurant is located in Perth Elizabeth Quay. It has a good view. Food is average but price is not cheap. We ordered one HQ Board, serves for 2 people. The lamb is very fatty and tasty is not impressive. Also a waiter send wrong glass of wine to us which is for next table. We told him it’s not ours. After the bill was paid back to home, I found the wrong bill was charged to us, they didn’t correct the error. We paid bill for others. I don’t think will be back again.

Located 5 mins from Elizabeth Quay Train/Bus Station. Open balcony with fantastic night view. Well priced food given its quality and location combination. Sticky Pork Baos are a must try !!!!

A lovely spot to spend an afternoon or watch the sun set on the Swan River. Can get a little windy outside - a great view

Lovely food and an even better view of Elizabeth quay.
We felt that the portions were a bit small, but very tasty.

Great views and social space. Found the food a tiny bit pedestrian and expensive. Paid 35 for finger food and ended up with about 5 or 6 pieces. Somehow I expected more. A little disappointed. Had a great night though with my work colleagues.
P. C.
A great place to hang out on Friday nights. Great food, great bar and a view to die for. We ordered the boards which were really value for money.
B. C.
View was amazing. Service was very slow. Took over an hour for food but when food arrived was worth the wait. Was a little let down that was given a share board but no plates to eat off. Happy to give them another chance after all the lockdown restrictions lift as was their first night open after being closed for a week
B. M.
Stunning food, cocktails and views.
Company wasn't bad either...
🤣

Excellent cocktails and best view in Perth! Amazing relaxing Saturday afternoon at HQ.

Wonderful views of the Swan River. Visited at sunset and managed to easily get a table outside. Friendly and helpful staff.

Ive had 2 meals there. Had a birthday party for table of 8 - tried many of the dishes - great size for sharing. Good atmosphere - music just right so we can all talk and not shout. Good venue for evening meal. Food served quickly. Highly recommended.
E. T.
Not a place for casual attire, but not extremely formal attire either.
Drink range is impressive
A. T.
Great service, Excellent food, Best view in Perth. Great price
a. r.
Great view however alcohol is on the pricey side. I can't fathom how I could be paying 13 dollars for a pint of swan draught. Little creature 14 dollars.
R. N.
Had a good time, Kiera is a great host. Staff is awesome, always ready to serve with a smile. Food is super!! We had a tour of the rooms, neat and clean and very welcoming feeling when you enter the rooms especially those with city view. 🌻

We had a delicious meal last night at HQ. The service was fantastic, Harini was knowledgeable about the menu and able to explain it fully. She professionally and competently handled a very noisy family group with a disruptive child. She remained cool, calm and courteous whilst performing this challenging task. We'll done Harini👏👏
P. S.
On a positive, its definitely something different for Perth. We just weren’t that impressed unfortunately. The place itself we found to be a bit too loud, the ambience felt tailored more towards the bar and not the restaurant. The food was ok without being amazing. Lamb ribs were grissly, the pork pancakes were dry and for the price, would have expected more. Barramundi Bao was probably the highlight, they were really nice. The service while friendly, was a little disingenuous and could have been more professional (We had asked for food to come out separately but it all came at once, a chopstick was dropped on the floor with no offer to go get a new one, dirty plates were not removed from the table etc..)
V. B.
I begin by saying Keika was a professional and fantastic waitress. And the food brilliant! BUT it is a strange restaurant! The lighting is terrible. You can’t see the gorgeous view of South Perth because the down lights are pointing straight at the windows. Such a waste. And it’s very bright. They didn’t let us know before closing the kitchen. I’m still hungry (although Keika organised room service and I appreciate this hugely). The tables and coasters were ugly. The elevator kinda drops you in the middle of the restaurant in an unnerving way. However, I would recommend bearing with everything for the delicious food but be prepared for inexperience and odd.

Must try the signature cocktail!

Great views of Elizabeth Quay. Lovely food and a great atmosphere too. Seemed like a lot of people were there on a date.
Would definitely visit again!

I celebrated my birthday here and ALL I could say is the experience was amazing! Staff are so friendly and attentive! Food is amazing. I will be back!

The view is great, the prices are decent
But the main meal portion sizes are disappointing and not worth it
