Always delicious drinks, service is friendly & prompt. Oysters fresh and delicious. Olives delectable.price is on point for the amazing quality. Shame they don't check their facebook business page/messages properly. Great ambience.

Some place only casts a pretence of excellence, while only certain establishment embodies and defines what class really is. Pooles Temple, is not like any other bar and when I say their service is exceptional, I only say that out of certainty after a first hand experience that they are indeed a cut above the rest. Located at the Cathedral Square, this Cocktail Bar provides variety of drinks that is sure to impress you, genuine service that caters to everyone and comfort that is sure to make you savour the moment. Would definitely recommend it.

Once we was inside it was a great place. Door staff were rude and obnoxious unfortunately. Bar staff were great, especially Clement who was so friendly and attentive. Nice cocktails and great love music. All over a nice atmosphere

First time visitor on a Thursday eve. For other newbies, this is essentially an oyster & Martini bar. Dark, great music, concierge and table service. Prices are competitive and Martinis are sublime. Our waiter was very polite and suave, bringing class to the experience. It won't break the bank but the experience will trick you into thinking it will.

Went for the first time last weekend and was blown away by how gorgeous and upscale this place is. Loved everything from the live music, to the velvet chairs and gorgeous glassware, but what really stood out was the service. There was a bit of a mix up with our table - one of the waiters said they would move us and a minute later a huge group came in and took the table we were moving to. We weren't upset at all, but they were extremely apologetic AND gave us each a complimentary glass of champagne. They handled the mix up so well, we felt really well taken care of and left with such a positive impression.

Wonderful atmosphere created with live jazz music, tentative and welcoming staff and delicious cocktails. I enjoyed a late night duck liver parfait and croque-monsieur sandwich and would highly recommend ordering food here with any of the cocktails available at the bar. Can’t wait to return again.

A lovely place to enjoy a cocktail or other beverage and chat with a friend. The atmosphere is intimate and charming and the staff are friendly and relaxed. The food menu has a satisfactory range of premium dishes and the beverage and wine selections are ample.

COVID-19 creates an opportunity for businesses to re-brand, so the Halford Bar transformed itself into Pooles Temple, a late-night live-jazz bar 🎷 🎺. The name Pooles Temple is inspired by George Thomas Temple-Poole. It was cool to see some familiar faces working at the bar and floor of this venue. If you stay at Como, there’s secret access that makes Pooles Temple almost a speakeasy bar. SF and I were looking for the pool area, but then we found a black card reader in front of a door. Not knowing where it led to, we tapped the key card to the reader, and voila, we stared into faces of surprised customers. We didn’t expect the door to lead there. Also, we didn’t notice the one-flight-down logo of Pooles Temple next to the reader too… When busy, it's hard to get the staff attention, but they were really friendly and helpful! So give it a try, the vibe in this place is really good for a late-night drink.

Delightful little underground bar. Great ambiance to grab a late night tipple and end your adventure. We got a Charlie Chaplin and an OG cocktail. The Charlie Chaplin was superbly balanced while the OG packed a subtle smooth punch. Service was attentive and staff were friendly. Will come again.

I like this place. The highlight is the live Jazz. The drinks aren't as great as when it was halford and the host and waitstaff are unseasoned and inexperienced. I would have given it 5 stars but the place smelled like feet.

Love this late night jazz bar

Excellent service, despite having to get changed out of my bathers and into trousers, and excellent drinks. The musics not bad either, the drummer even let me have a bash for a few songs while he was in the loo!

Despite the title, when I rocked up in bathers with a crucifix I was turned away. DO NOT FALL FOR THE NAME, while it IS a party, there is no body of water in sight. Not impressed! Great wifi.
