Excellent. Interesting location, but once you reach the roof, nice views around Fremantle. The food for dinner was really very very good. Some of the best flavours we have had in Fremantle. Wine choice is good and the service is efficient and professional. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I had been wanting to come here for a while, I went on a Sunday and didn’t realise you had to book, the name being rooftop bar I thought it would be more of a bar. The staff however were able to accommodate us. We ordered dumplings as we are both dumping fans, but we were kind of disappointed, the dumplings were dry and lacked flavour, the skin was chewy, the seafood ones were the best because of the sauce but the ones that had the peanut sauce on them tasted like peanut butter, that’s all you could taste. I was going to give 3 stars but the cocktails however were amazing! Some of the best cocktails we’ve had and it was happy hour so of course we had to try as many as we could. I don’t usually like pina coladas but I’ve been converted from the cocktail with coconut cream. I will be back again for the cocktails not so much the food.

The vegetarian options were delicious - especially the wok tossed edamame was so delightful and the tempura eggplant was amazing 😍 the staff were beyond friendly and so efficient and the service was very quick! Table ordering is a great feature and the happy hour cocktails were pleasantly delightful to drink and also look at! Definitely coming back for another meal and drinks very very soon 😇 P.S. the pricing of the food was every affordable and during happy hour the discounts were unbelievable! Very very impressed!

We went there for some cocktails and their “feed me” menu, which includes 6 small dishes, 3 main dishes and 2 desserts. Food was absolutely amazing and incredible value, we left stuffed. Service was also impeccable, very attentive but not pushy. We also enjoyed that dishes arrived “in groups of 3-4”. Will definitely be back.

Sweetwaters OK…..so 3rd experience dining at this location. Still has FAILED to let me down, has totally hooked me and my dining partners into what a marvellous dining experience Sweetwaters is. “This is not my first rodeo”, I am no stranger to eating. You don’t get a body like mine by being afraid to eat something different. Sweetwaters offers a great range of dishes all exquisitely presented and accompanied by the most sublime garnishes and sauces, all perfectly complimenting each other. We went for the share plates, 10 different dishes between 4 of us, a perfect amount and mix of tastes. Even eating some of the same dishes again invoked a feeling of wonder and awe at the presentation and flavours presented. It was again a very memorable and delightful lunch visit, if school pick up time wasn’t beckoning it could have easily morphed into great Friday evening. There will be more visits!

Recently diagnosed as coeliac and it’s been so frustrating having only one or two options on the menu when I ate out. Sweet water has an entire menu dedicated to gluten free foods, it was amazing! Everything was delicious and I felt comfortable that it was coeliac friendly. We ordered the fried cauliflower, sticky lamb ribs, beef massaman, XO noodles and the roasted white choclate parfait. Had a fantastic meal last night, amazing food, had the feed me menu for $65, more than enough and happy to pack left overs to take home. We had exceptional service with Lindsay. Went here for Anniversary dinner as they have a full Gluten free menu( and a normal menu), went with the $65 chefs choice in GF and the food was simply amazing. Asian fusion style, the flavours, textures, quality and quantity of food left us both in an extremely satisfied and delirious food coma 😋. Staff were attentive and service was spot on. I'm looking forward to my next visit and I'm ranking this one I my top 5 favourite restaurants!!

Sweetwater was and is a hit and miss One time we wait ages and the food is average other times we really enjoy the food. At any time the service needs training. Serve from right, clean table, make sure plates are served before share platters. Feed me is well priced at 65$ Drinks are pricy, with cocktails around 17 to 25$ , also after 3 cocktails you are not tipsy

What a find! What can I say about this place, firstly my expectations were pretty high after looking at their website to walking through the front door were spot on. Without even eating or drinking anything Sweeteater have set an amazing scene with their decor, making you feel like you have transported yourself to a completely different place with an amazing rooftop vibe. I liked how the place was split into two halves where they have a specific bar and chill zone whilst still catering to a restaurant section which in my opinion was done perfectly. At no stage did I think this place was just a bar because the two sections were done in a way where you both have privacy and couldn't hear the other side which was great. The food, oh my what a selection of classic Asian dishes. So many amazing dishes I will have to come back to try more. If you are struggling on choosing I would suggest the chefs selection as it is $65pp and you receive 3 small dishes, 2 large and 1 dessert. But oh my for 2 people we were thoroughly full with delight. The portion sizes were very generous for the price. Where we were struggling to prepare ourselves for the next course hahaha. The staff were exceptional in their hospitality and attentive service. Always helpful with questions and organising a takeaway container haha. I cannot wait to return to Sweeteater soon, hungry for more.

A hidden gem of a place that you wouldn't really expect to be located where it is....but a gorgeous & stunning open rooftop bar. Vegan Feed Me Menu was unreal. Brilliant first 4 share plates that were all uniquely different - couldn't decide which we liked best. Then the Curry Main and Dessert were also exceptional. Such a nice spot, love the style, food is good (the dumplings are pricy for what you get), drinks are good but pricy as well $13,50 per pint... However, the service is not that great.. almost no service, order on the phone (waou such a great environment that you offer), thanks god we can order at the bar. But when you are pushing people to order on their phone (to reduce your cost of course). Please make it right - table of 15 people 3 forks was given ? Had to take it by myself. Moreover, the food that I bought arrive with an intervale of 20/30min, no appologize or even a check on our table would have been a minimum. Plate put on the table without explanation so we had to guess who order what... Sad experiences for a place that look great... You have to learn more about customer service.

We came early on a Saturday for dinner (5pm) and the place had a nice bustling vibe. Sun was setting and the whole place sparkled. Great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and warm. Lots of welcoming smiles. Service was fast. We made a booking and were ushered to our seats quickly. Menu is more than sufficient. Drinks looked amazing, although we didn't have any drinks. Our food came very fast. Everything smelled and looked amazing. We ordered 3 entree sized plates: the cauliflower, the soft shell crab and sticky beef. The serving sizes are generous. They were more like share plates. All of them are well presented and almost too good to eat. Cauliflower was firm, not crunchy. The sesame seeds were fragrant. Sauce was slightly acidic and sweet. The whole dish worked well together. This was my missus' favourite. The softshell crab was cooked to perfection. Crunchy, not oily. The crab itself was meaty. Paired with a slightly sweet vinegarette and veges that brought out the flavours of the crab. The sticky beef with slim straws of deep fried potato was sweet and acidic. Big flavours bursting in the mouth. This was my favourite dish. Staff came around to ask if everything was ok. Attentive and on the ball. Well done. Asian fusion done right. We'll be back for more.

One of the best rooftop bars in WA. Not for the views but just the fact it doesn't do pub grub, it does Asian infusion. It's a cool bar happening place, especially on a Friday night, which caters to hipsters and locals of all ages. a great addition to east freo. My only suggestion would be to open on mon & tue and do happy hours on Fridays with high price cocktails

Visited with family for the mother's day feast and it was a terrific way to celebrate the day. The food was fantastic and the customer service was exceptional. Absolutely some of the best table service I've ever had. Carrie in particular went above and beyond to ensure the venue met my accessibility needs, I can't give her a big enough thank you. It made all the difference to my comfort. The venue was excellent at accommodating dietary requirements; servers checked for any when we arrived and the chefs created vegan options that were just as delicious as the other offerings. Including the vegan dishes we shared five gradually served entrées, around six main dishes and a light berry mousse dessert. I particularly loved crispy barramundi. There was enough of each dish for everyone at the table to have a decent sized serve of everything. There was also a range of different meats and vegetables to suit all palates. Overall, if you're looking for a sophisticated venue with great food, service, cocktails and views then the Sweetwater Rooftop Bar should be on your short-list.

A fantastic place! The service and overall experience provided by the FOH staff was superb, and they were very patient with my parents food intolerances and gluten allergy; which we had no issues with the entire night. Our drinks did take about 15 to 20 minutes to get to us though, which is understandable because of the event or party on. The main dishes tasted delicious. The dessert was good, although I did have the dark chocolate parfait which was meant to have some sort of cherry element, but was missing?? Which was sort of disappointing to finish on. Overall though, a good experience :)

Hosted a bottomless brunch at Sweetwater and it was sensational, the place is gorgeous! Wow! So much flavour in the food, amazing service, fantastic cocktails and reasonably priced. The food came out within 15 minutes of us ordering. We had 7 small share plates between 4 people. It was more than enough food for us all and we got to try most of the small plates menu. Catered to three of us being gluten intolerant, even had a specific gluten free menu which was a first for us. My favourites were the Mongolian beef and the duck with iceburg lettuce and salad. The lamb ribs were so tender and succulent. The Bang Bang chicken papaya salad packed a spicy punch. The chicken niblets with amazing Thai red curry dressing were delectable. The sticky rice cakes were full of flavour, and the cuttlefish was a nice finish, although the least favourite (for me) out of our 7 dishes. The service was friendly, accommodating and professional. We had a few weird requests like lighting candles and turning the overhead fan down, we drank a lot of water inbetween cocktails, yet our water jug was always replenished. Will definitely be back. Might have to try the mains menu next time. Thank you Sweetwater and staff for a beautiful night.

AMAZING bottomless brunch! We had 15 people for a friend's birthday. The food was such delicious and very high quality, with more than enough for everyone. The bottomless drinks were delicious cocktails/slushies (not Bellini's like most places) and the staff were extremely accommodating, especially given our table got pretty rowdy toward the end!! The best value BB I have ever been to (including to a few I've been to in Sydney). Would 100% come back. Thanks again to everyone.

Only downside was the deserts. We ordered one each and I found them both unpalatable It’s probably just me, but the textures and flavours were “interesting “. The 3 milk one tasted like the milk was off and the sponge was stodgy and hard. The parfait was totally solid. It took some cutting.

Dined here with super high expectations and was unfortunately let down - We were a table of 4, and decided to go with the ‘feed me’ menu. We got the most basic dishes possible. And they were not done well. Paw paw salad? Had absolutely NO flavour. Some seasoning let alone a sauce would have been good. They also tried bringing out a ‘main’ size of a entree we had already eaten. The Eggplant HorFun noodles, saturated in oil and only 3 pieces of Eggplant in the whole dish. I am hoping we got a bad night, and maybe the feed me menu isn’t the way to go. Everywhere else i have dined and done a feed me menu, i left feeling full & satisfied. Which should be the point of it. Cocktails were absolutely beautiful though, and our American waitress was the highlight of our night. Thankyou, ✌🏼

Best service, great food and unique Freo atmosphere and view. I've been away for a number of years however finally got to visit Sweetwater on my birthday. My evening commenced with a glass of Prosecco to celebrate and just got better and better. An beautiful menu, catering to most dietary needs and our choices were sublime. Compliments to the kitchen. The evening was made incredibly memorable through the care and attention to detail by staff. Had dinner here last night - hadn’t been for two years but I requested a cocktail I had then and they recreated it perfectly for us even though it wasn’t on the menu. Everything we ate was amazing, we had the soft shell grab, the pork pot sticker dumplings and the roast beef rump cap - all of it was so tasty and amazing! We waited a while for the roast beef but they compensated us for waiting with free dessert! Lovely staff, amazing food and they definitely care for their customers. Can’t wait to come back :)

Well, very very $$$$ for the set menu. We had the Yum cha set menu on Sunday. The food taste was good but we had to go to the Left Bank after to eat again as the would not serve us any more food! Drinks were nice, we were a group and had beer, wine and cocktails. Service was good, not great as bar staff struggled to keep up, they did there best with a smile. So, nice but very over priced at over $150pp. Glad we went but won't be going back.

Staff were great, ambiance was good but the food was overpowered by the chilli for most dishes that we ordered (note: I like spicy food, my partner does not). The non spicy food was great. Food was also rather slow, and came out noticeably staggered which is dissapointing. The white chocolate parfait was immaculate, for which the same could not be said about the tea cake (pistachio, rose tea and something) - which we felt was not as described - and a rather bland and soggy mess Overall a nice place, just left a little disappointed.

Difficult to find. Nice lay out and decor. View is okay, nothing special. Menu is nice, lots of excellent choices on the bar bite menu. It's an Asian inspired menu, so don't expect fries or pizza. Happy hour has $1 wings. Wait staff are efficient. At the bar they serve you, make your drink then see the next patron. Overall a good first experience here.

The Sweetwater Rooftop Bar is a stunning restaurant and bar. The ambience and decor are just gorgeous - I just love all the details and finishes. The reason I first came here was for the Vegan Menu, and it really delivers on flavour and creativity - I can't stop talking about it when I am there. A lot of cauliflower for the vegans but it all done well and tasted different. The mushroom dumplings were my favourite by far and would probably take an entire bowl of those if I could. The cocktails were good though I think there was something missing from my long Island ice tea. It was still nice but a little watered down. Over all I will definitely return. Tried the, sticky beef, Chicken wings, rice and dumplings. Was blown away by the flavours. The beef was very well cooked and tasted so good. The wings had a honey soy coating and was garnished with spring onions and red chilies. The wing were crispy on the outside but the chicken itself was juicy just like it should be. The dumplings were something very different, the sauce had some sort of berry in it, strawberry or raspberry. The sweetness of the sauce and the savoury of the dumplings worked surprisingly well. Even the rice was good, very fragrant but not to overpowering, which is what (in my opinion) rice should be. The chef clearly cares a lot about what he is putting on peoples plates. The floor staff are amazing as well, very attentive and switched on. Also very knowledgeable about the menu. That coupled with an amazingly presented venue makes for a amazing experience. Keep it up guys, you rock!

Really nice venue. You wouldn't know it was there if you were just walking past. The lights are a really nice feature. There are also plants and comfortable lounge chairs to be enjoyed, with pillows and blankets for extra comfort. There is dining and bar on opposite sides of the venue, and you could probably enjoy each separately without really noticing that the other is there. The music is good and the atmosphere is really chilled and cool. Only downside is the price of drinks. Not really extraordinary prices, but too expensive for more than 3 drinks if you're drinking on a budget. They do offer food, and although we didn't try it, it looked and smelled good

I absolutely love the food at Sweetwater. I have attended on a number of occasions and always loved the service and the food. The reason for the 3 star review is because of my experience with them on Uber Eats. I live close by and at least 7 times over the past year I have tried to order from them and they switch off ordering. From my understanding they are only open on Uber eats from Thursday’s-Sundays, however on any of these days it is always switched off after 5pm. I have called them before and asked to place an order on Uber eats and they have switched it on for me on one occasion. I’m not sure why they offer their food on Uber eats if they always have it switched off! It’s so disappointing as their food is so good! I always crave it as a takeaway.

It seemed like variations of the same sauce were served on a few dishes and the dishes themselves unfortunately were a little underwhelming in taste. Balance of flavours seemed off as some items were either overly sweet or salty or doused in sauce. Out of the 8 or 9 dishes served the best items were the thai green curry dish and the fried silken tofu. A big bowl of rice was served (not on the menu) as the last item with nothing to accompany it with. Overall it was a nice experience and good to try their vegan offerings.

Busy Saturday night at Sweet Water, only ordered bar snacks and beer. Took 20 minutes for 2 of the 3 snack to come out, the third didn't arrive after 2 calls to the staff (another 20 minutes). I asked for compensation for the wait, however I wasn't compensated. Daniel the 'head waiter' visited our table shortly after, advising of a misunderstanding with the waiting time and offered free drinks and his apologise. Noting that this came back to the 'head waiter' shows a great system was in place. Very happy that our table didn't go un-noticed. FYI: Dumplings were incredible (minus the wait), best spring rolls I've ever had and the balance and lack of oil of the squid made my night. Very impressive.

What a nice surprise, I used to work in the area many years ago and the whole area has been cleaned up a lot. Sweetwater is a good example of what East Freo could be if things keep improving. Beer list not so impressive but hopefully that grows with some more local beers. Food was incredibly tasty and local (according to the menu). Staff were very friendly and overall a great experience. This place seems to have good atmosphere, and the bar staff know their craft. It would, however, seem that the high prices of all other drinks allow them to serve their cocktails for a reasonable $13. At the start of the night I ordered a soda water w lime, no alcohol or anything...it was near on $5 for a glass of water with bubbles out of the soda stream, they don't even need a product for that, they carbonate tap water! A pint of beer is also a hefty $13, even Roger's mid-strength ale. Craft beer or not, that's rich. In short. Nice place, but there's nothing special enough about it to warrant the prices.

They also should have told me that there were no parent room or a change table so i could have planned the night a bit better. Some of the staff were unhelpful and rude. Also..... We ordered the $60 banquet menu expecting for eveyrone to be able to taste all the food . The chicken wings came and there were only 6 wings when there were 8 of us. When we mentioned it to the staff they seem they didnt wana bother with it. We had to ask 3 times for it. Please train your staff to be more friendly and helpful.
