We went to The Cabin one year ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, and so we chose to go back there today to celebrate our first day as a married couple. We were not disappointed. Everything on the menu was new (except for the tasty snickers in a glass which thankfully we were able to get again for dessert) and each of the 4 dishes we ordered were delicious. There's not many nice places where you can go and enjoy fancy dishes in a cosy atmosphere. The Cabin will definitely be our go-to place for celebrations.

I've been here before and really enjoyed it, so I organised my partners birthday here. We were a large group of 16 with a lot of different drinks and meals. They were really busy for a Wednesday night but they handled everything perfectly. The food was all amazingly tasty and had a great selection of drinks. One of the best places around town. Easy parking; from dedicated carpark to street parking. The Cabin is small and yet very cosy both day and night. Seating is spacious for both inside and and outdoor. Have small good elevator, not sure can be used for disable person or not. We loved the chicken Pate and the pork belly. A bit on the pricey side with small to average serving side. However the staff is very friendly and very accommodating for our little one.

Hard to find if you've never been as it's located upstairs. Interior is like a cabin, small and cosy. Plus point is that there's heaters for outdoors for each table. Attended for our anniversary dinner which we stated when booking 3 weeks in advance. Arrived and waited as it was very busy. Guy with glasses (manager?) comes up, doesn't greet us just tells us to move to the side and let the people who literally just arrived through before us. Proceeds to sit us on some uncomfortable bar chairs at the back of the room. Lasted 10 minutes , before asking to move. The waitress put on a table with actual chairs. Apart from the poor service from the manager (?), the food was good, ambience good and waitresses were attentive.

Wife and I got a small window of opportunity to go out for a quick meal. We decided of the THe Cabin, which we hadn’t been to for a while, and we have had good experiences in the past. The ambience of the place is nice, a bit random decor, have always thought so! Their was also a must smell in the air, Not sure what it was but we both noticed it. I forgot to take the shot of the menu, but prices are on the higher side for shareplates. We chose the scallops With pumpkin purée, for me the star dish. Meatballs which were good, but a little plain for our liking. Arancini balls which were pretty standard, nothing different to what we’ve eaten elsewhere. Unfortunately the worst was the Bao buns! The buns were very dry and hard and the filling just didn’t work for us! We still had a nice night but may think twice on coming back any time soon. I do like having a few drinks with friends on the balcony in summer...

If I could give ten stars I would! Booked The Cabin for a surprise birthday, there was thirteen adults and three children. The team at The Cabin were incredibly attentive, friendly and made our night very special. The food was amazing and the drink selection was just enough to suit everyone’s taste for everyone in our party. Loved the ambiance and the parking was convenient and hassle free. We had never been to The Cabin before but we will definitely be going back again!! Highly recommend.

Ordered the prawns, scallops, barramundi ravioli and ox tail. Prawns were really good albeit there were 7 small Prawns in total with some nice salad around. Barramundi ravioli was decent as well but there wasn't much barramundi and one of the pieces I had had a scale in it. The scallops and the pumpkin puree were quite nice however my partner tasted a few hard bits in one of her scallops. We were really looking forward to the ox tail, but unfortunately it came out cold on the inside and luke warm on the outside, and the salad was quite cold. It was very obvious that the ox tail had come out of the fridge and was heated up with fridge salad stuck on top. Put us right off and we left straight away.

Initially I thought the place was weird because of the hanging animal heads but after seeing the whole place, it made sense. The aesthetic is just divine and the menu was really good. We had the lamb sausage, meatballs and spicy potatoes and it was fantastic! The price definitely matches how the food tastes. The service is very good and the lady serving us was really cheerful. The drinks menu was amazing! I recommend the apple cocktail and the strawberry one. Would definitely come back here.

Ordered beetroot humus, pickled octopus, mushroom & lamb roulade, pork belly, scallops and prawn & zucchini salad. All food was amazing, definitely up there as one of my favourites in perth. Humus a litle light on the flavour if i am extremely picky. great balance of flavours, texturea, veggies and meat. Drinks menu not extensive but great great variety and value. Even had a colouring page and pencils for kids. Shame i didnt find this place sooner.

It has all the makings of a great bar but failed to hit the mark. Cocktails were delicious, although very weak (to be expected for $12?). Vibe was lovely. Food was extremely average and ridiculously pricey - wet greasy pulled tacos, somewhat bland bao buns. Chicken wings were lovely but awful presentation. Gravalax was amazing but again, lacked presentation skills. We were debating a 3.5, but then we're overcharged for a cocktail and they failed to apply the entertainment book discount, which we returned for (and they sorted out). A shame, will be back for olives and a drink but not to eat.

Lovely little quirky place with nice ambience unfortunately the waitress was rude and didnt know what a red peroni beer was (as opposed to a regular peroni) saying she didnt know because she had two jobs.same situation when I asked about mocktails The food was good. Again same waitress I asked if the mushroom and goat roulade was goat or goats cheese. Only because its trendy to drop off parts of words these days she confidently said goat cheese.. yes but no it was goat which I dont like...so are little of it... I think it's a good place for some drinks with friends.. as someone else said the discontent between staff was free entertainment... we will give it another try xxx

One of very few venues in Perth that has managed to stay consistently great for several years. Whether it be the first time I visited for drinks 6 years ago to the most recent visit for dinner a week ago, the quality of the food, drinks, service and ambiance is and always has been top notch... prices are quite reasonable and haven't really increased at all since they opened. Keep an eye on their social media for the weekly specials.

I had my 60th birthday party at this venue last night and have to say that everything was great. The venue itself is small and intimate, the staff friendly and super efficient. The canapés all came out at regular intervals hot and very tasty. The drinks menu was perfect for the occasion. Alf very helpful with the decorations and very accomodating with any request we made. Really cosy small bar upstairs, with a lift for disabled access. Great range of small and sharing plates, with a great beer list which includes a lot of Aussie breweries. Decor is a good warning that it's not vegan friendly, but it's great food & amazing service. Also a good place for smaller groups or couples, which isn't something most places cater to at the moment.

I love The Cabin. Pop in for a cheap cocktail on Friday and try some of the yummy dishes they have on the menu. The wine list is ever evolving so every time you go back there is usually something new to try. Great in winter as you can snuggle up on the couch in front of the fire, and fab in summer with a wrap around balcony and cool music. Next time you're in Mt Hawthorn, check it out!

The Cabin is a lovely bar in the heart of Mount Hawthorn, that distinguishes itself from all the other places in that it offers not just table service but also, rather unusual for an Australian bar, doesn't require to pay your every drink upfront. The menu is refreshingly different, not too pricy, and includes an exquisite range of wines and the somewhat different beer. Open until late, during the week you stand a good chance to find a seat on the couch near the fireplace

We had a Groupon for free drinks with our charcuterie plate which is good value. But I would day the charcuterie plate is well worth the money. It came with a divine chicken liver pate, rich, creamy and full of flavour topped by a tangy and sweet jelly. The plate included a nice pork rillette, some game chorizo, slices of jamon, pickled relish, some pickled vegetables including cornichons and toast. All were excellent and we'll be back fir more.
