I dont agree with people being able to eat and smoke and have their kids right next to them. isnt there rules around people smoking near the entrance if a building?

Went to the cornerstone ale house with some family members for lunch. The service was fantastic by a gentleman named "The Bob" He was polite, friendly, helpful and a bit of a jokestar which was good. The service from him was fantastic and nothing was too hard for him.The drinks and meals came out fairly quickly and meals were of good quality in a decent size. Décor in the meals area was modern & fresh and with high ceilings which would help with the acoustics when a very busy time. I rate The Cornerstone Ale House 5 stars out of 5..

Friendly, helpful staff, good value and good food. Great weekly specials and terrific areas to get together with friends, maybe even try a spot of karaoke? We shared some snacks with drinks - wedges, fries, buffalo wings and the Chef's Tasting Plank consisting of lemon pepper squid, satay chicken, grilled prawns, chorizo, chicken wings, pork belly bites, olives, turkish bread, balsamic evoo & house dips. I really like this pub but as a recently quit smoker the pub absolutely stinks of cigarette smoke. I don't know how they legally get away with smokers smoking virtually inside the pub. A courtyard within the actual pub. If they get rod of this I would give it 5 stars.

As usual, the atmosphere is great and food even better. I would recommend the daily specials, they do an amazing roast! I have had really tasty risottos here, whether mushroom or pumpkin, they never fail to impress. Portions are very generous and if you are not extremely hungry, I would suggest sharing the dishes. The deconstructed sticky date pudding was also a pleasant surprise. Pictured: chicken parmigiana and garlic creamy prawns.

When we arrived with a double pram we were escorted in and locked doors were made unlocked for us to fit, and doors held open for us. We were served by friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant. The fire was lit and the music was old school. The meals came hot. We were a table of 6 meals and all were really enjoyed. Nothing to complain about. The children were given activity packs to keep them entertained. A huge Carpark which makes it easy. Would highly recommend here. We have been before for food in the bar which also was lovely. We will definitely be back here again.

Have come here a lot over the years, always impressed before........ things were moderate this time around. Food service was slowest it's ever been, steak was overcooked, the price to add prawns was ridiculous for 3 small prawns. We will come back but this meal was underwhelming.

Place offers relatively good pub food in their restraunt and a good selection of beers on tap in the bar. The smoking area is a bit to close to the main bar so expect to smell smoke if sitting at bar although wasn't to bothered. I've heard things can get a bit rowdy there during particular sports matches so choose your days.

So we decided to go the cornerstine for the xmas 3 course meal 1pm on Sunday-lady takes the booking for 6 of us for 2pm 20 12.2020. Wasn't sure if we would get the 3 course meal.... cut a long story even longer......we were blown away. Casey, the lady that served us was so inviting-we sat, drank, ate and the quality and value for money was 5 star. The chefs deserve a massive pat on the back. Cosy venue, nice decor. Friendly bar staff. Indoor and covered outdoor area. I've been here on quite a few weekend evenings, DJ doesn't work the crowd and music selection is poor to keep dancing going , so dance floor stays pretty empty. Really lacks atmosphere because of this. One only has to listen to the bathroom chat! Usually by 10 pm I'm hearing comments such as, "where else can we go, the music here is rubbish." It's a pity because this place rocks on tribute nights. That's because the music they choose to perform is crowd pleasing. Hope this feedback is taken in a positive way

Consistently good! If you are ever keen for a decent sized pub meal, you can always rely on the Cornerstone. Do yourself a favour if you are a steak lover and head down on a Monday night to smash their steak night. For $18 i think it is you can get a 300g steak with chips, salad and sauce... but then for an extra 5 or 6 dollars you can add a half rack of ribs. When you go to pay and its only about $24 per person and you just knocked off a meal fit for a king, you leave pretty happy. Wish i had a photo to post so i don't sound like im trying to promote them

Well done Cornerstone, went for a quick bite at lunch today & AMAZING!! So much choice on new menu, I tried Sizzling prawns in cob loaf amazing, fresh baked cob loaf filled with prawns in nap sauce with right amount of spice with side salad👍 My son had BBQ buffalo wings, I had to steal 1 as they looked so good melt in your mouth with so much flavour 👍 If you haven't been to cornerstone in while or maybe didn't have a good experience, I'm tell you get back and give them a go, New Head Chef and he is AMAZING 😁

I had rump and ribs with chips and salad. Had ribs here before they are one of the best I had. Steak wasn't the greatest but still tasted ok. Good range of beers and wine. My wife had fish and chips she really enjoyed them. Service was average. They seam to put everyone in one spot which make it noisey. Would still go back again.

The food here is quite nice, reasonably priced and generous portions. The staff are attentive and friendly even when they are clearly very busy. The tv in the restaurant is weird. No one was watching it-why would they be? They've come out to enjoy a meal with people. They decor is a bit tired, the oversized vases are strange and im not a fan of making a display out of jars of pickles of things in varying sizes, it's a bit naff. I'm guessing they blew the decor budget on the ludicrous vases?

I just moved into the area my husband and I went here as it's our new local. The food was amazing my husband had the surf and turf the steak was cooked to perfection and i had a chefs selection as a main it had everything Ribs mmmm fell of the bone, calamari, camembert cheese, stuffed mushrooms, garlic prawns, salad, turkish bread and homemade dips. It's full table service and our waitress was very attentive and nothing was to much for her we will surely be eating here a lot thank you Cornerstone.

Arrived to a warm welcome and witty banter to which I most enjoyed. I requested to he seated outside, which retrospectively meant more work for the poor folk, I ordered my food and drinks. It was Wednesday and parmi night, more mild banter and the server retreats to fulfill my order. I sat in peace and quite enjoying the melodic rainfall watching the pond across the way. Soon enough my drink arrives and not too long after that I was greeted with the sight of my meal making it's glorious way over to me. Now earlier on I wrote that it was parmi night which means it's $18 a bargain. Well I was expecting something far less impressive than this. Sat atop a large pile of wonderfully cooked chips was the chicken... now I hesitate to say this was a chicken breast due to its size, but my words it was. A succulent chicken breast topped with gooey melted cheese, perfectly rendered pulled pork, magnificent strips of bacon and cheeky pieces of chorizo. Next to this sat the salad but no one cares about salad when parmi is on the table!! (The salad was wonderful also. Topped with just enough dressing as to not overpower) I rejoiced and quickly devoured said meal. As I sat outside alone and I believe the server picked up on the notion that I wished to not he disturbed. However the only thing that suppressed a 5 star rating was the enthusiasm or even courtesy of the bar staff. Upon paying I was met with apathy. I cannot blame the poor woman. It's a rainy miserable night outside! The bar staff next door also seemed somewhat... disinterested none the less they got me my drinks and left me in peace. I am a firm believer in OVER service. The Cornerstone isn't a horrible place.

When I was an impressionable 13 year old I recall drinking Guinness in the Frenchman's Alms at Throckley bank top.
