Plenty of room and dining options with outside, inside bar and inside dining room.
Many beers on tap with a wide variety of food offerings.
I would happily go back for another feed again
M. B.Popped in for a lone dinner tonight (going for "man of mystery" but probably getting "ooh, look at that lonely old man - all his friends must be dead") with pretty low expectations. Ordered the fish & chips and is was excellent. Good fish, perfectly cooked and much more fish than chips. A really nice little salad was on the side.. I would have given them 5 stars if they had a way I could get another beer without getting up and losing my table. Highly recommended.
S. C.My husband and I just had dinner at the Grosvenor Hotel and unfortunately it did not live up to it's great reviews, which is what we based our decision on. I had chicken which I amended to have salad and fries, unfortunately the chicken was extremely dry, considering we were the only people in the restaurant I would have expected close to perfection, not a dry choking hazard. Tired of paying good money for mediocre food.
T.Nice place but way too many smoking tables outside means that the minority smokers spoil it for the majority of non-smokers. Banish the smokers and make the beer garden more enjoyable.
Good selection of tap beers was pleasing to see.
We had a salt and pepper calamari and chips. It was chips with a peppering of uninspiring calamari. Pub grub can be much better.
B. B.Great selection of beers and pub food, good service and nice staff. Reasonably small and quiet front bar and much bigger back sports bar with multiple screens showing various sports. Good outdoor area too. Easy to get to by various buses down St Georges Tce and a short walk and not too busy before the footy.
H. S.We popped in for a quick lunch and it ticked all the boxes - food was clearly fresh but arrived quickly, they had a good selection of drinks, and it was quick, efficient, and friendly service. Special mention for the chicken in the wrap which was nice and juicy, unlike a lot of places that serve it dry. Smiles all round (including from the staff!).
M. C.A good pub meal is guaranteed at the Grosvenor - been around for many years and still serving good food at good prices. Beers and wines are also at reasonable prices, on any night of the week expect it to be busy. Staff are friendly too!
R.Had the best burger and the family all had different meals, they were all spectacular with big servings! Best pub meal I've had and the family agrees. You must come and try it out!!!
D. E.A jewel. Re-worked historic pub. Great food freshly prepared in a well run kitchen. Excellent steaks. Pizza as well. Staff are professional, attentive and caring. Prices are reasonable given that there is no real local competition. Watch out for wet floors.
g. w.The males in the family had a daytime catchup. Hadnt been there for years.It was a weekday so the hotel was quiet. No complaints with the food or service. We were able to have a good chat without interuption and having to talk too high to be heard. Worth another visit.

N. W.My girlfriend and I came here for lunch and a pint and was overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who served us. I ordered what was probably the BEST pizza i have ever tried, the base was perfect and the pork belly toppings totally covered the pizza, i had to ask for a pizza box to take half home with me i was that satisfied.
My girlfriend ordered the surf and turf and the cut of the steak was over 1" thick and i had to help her finish that as there was so much to get through. Definitely coming back again next time we stay in Perth. 10/10

R. G.Has only gotten better over the years. Dinner with friends/ work colleagues on a Monday night and couldn’t fault the place. Lots of space and different areas for different groups. Outside area is split into smoking and non smoking to suit. Various inside areas to choose from. Clean spaces with a good atmosphere. Fairly quick service and the food was great. Reasonable prices and a varied menu. Really enjoyable and would go back. Great for after work drinks and dinner.

Inside is nostalgic with a mixture of modern elegance and savoured retro vintage adornments that for me makes it a kinda retro vintage modernisim. Very nice, great selection of beers wines and other refreshments. Awesome selection of meals pizza a big fav with friendly and very efficient and smiling staff. Going to take my husband here for lunch.

b. c.We had lunch there and could not believe the size of the servings - enormous! My husband had a steak sandwich which had two large pieces of fillet steak on it which he said was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. I had the chicken wrap which also was huge.
Two days later we went back again for lunch and this time had one steak sandwich between us. With the chips it was more than enough.

A. C.Food is fantastic for pub meals. However you most definitely will be charged for it. Unfortunately the pub and the restaurant don't offer different menus for the different clientele. Nicely renovated and warm in winter. A good local for a pint but be prepared to open your wallet.

Staff were pleasant and courteous however that pub/hotel feel of them making conversation with patrons after paying was not there. This might be a little old fashioned but I think might earn an extra beer or two off customers.

H. K.If you're looking for a Saturday or Sunday lunch place in the city, with a great outdoor dining area, then go to the Grosvenor. The food is your standard pub fare, same with the drinks, but at least you know what to expect when going. Great eating area outside with large trees that shield you from the sun on a warm, balmy day.
L. S.Service- lightening fast. Setting- fantastic. My Pizza- came super quick and tasted great. Only negative that dropped the rating was my partners pork belly which really was over cooked, dry and with some weird cheese dehydrated topping, shame really as it is a great place.

I spent a pleasant afternoon and evening there enjoying good conversation and great food with some really helpful and honest people I had never met before, the sort of place that attracts the honest and trustworthy inhabitants of inner city Perth.

S. R.Really nice decor and atmosphere since they have had a bit of a refurb. Very 'James Squire' branded though. Staff are quick, polite and helpful. However, didn't like the smoke from outside blowing I to the main part of the pub and the food is horribly expensive.

He really took special care of us, especially my boys Morgan, Harry and Nic who are very shy and normally struggle in loud public places. My partner Jamie and I had both enjoyed a delicious Flame Tree Cab Sav™️, and had a magical night alternating between looking into each other’s eyes and watching the cricket. All in all it was an exceptional night. Tommy B made sure we were well looked after, and the Grosvenor’s amazing food satisfied us immensely. We WILL be back, hopefully we get Tommy B behind the bar again!

P. M.We had the $48 share seafood platter and it was magnificent!! I'm a chef, and hate those "seafood baskets" that are just a collection of deep-fried, crumbed and battered goods. Not the Grosvenor!! Two succulent barra fillets cooked superbly and still buttery. Smoked salmon, some type of very tasty seafood dip; creamy garlic prawns; chilli squid. The whiting fillets were deep fried, well ONE fried goods, but really tasty and the batter was light and crisp. Some toasted turkish bread, some salad garnish and some other tasty bits, which escape my memory. Really, really, bloody good. And to top it all off, the craft beer (Nail VPA, in our case) was just so spot on!!
Service was keen, knowledgeable and discreet. Beer garden made you feel private, even if we were right in the heart of Perth, opposite the Perth Mint. So good, that we'll have to go back again & soon. Recommended.

M. H.Visiting from Brisbane my partner and I were taken aback by the price of the food, it being quite a bit more expensive than Brisbane.
It made sense when the food came out though, the burgers are massive and the steak sandwich a big steak with all the trappings.
If we were to go there again, we would go halves in a meal for lunch, they are simply too big for us to eat, although if you're a big eater, go nuts.

Good food and great selection of beer and wine prices are very reasonable for Perth, pretty much on par with the other establishments of similar calibre.
Great little chinese restaurant / takeaway across the road on the corner as well if you want some good chinese takeaway to take back to your hotel.

l. o.The Gros does pub grub to a higher standard than most of Perth's suburban bars. It also has an a above average selection of alcohol and usually enough staff to ensure good service and a clean venue.
My only critique is that it has an identity crisis of sorts, perhaps purposefully, but by being good at many things it is excellent at none of them; it's good food but not unique, it's got some sport options but all and always; it's got a very good liquor selection but it's not botique.
Overall, it's a comfortable place to drink booze and have a feed, especially if you work central.
