Amazing location with Amazing tasting food! Beautiful location for a pub Great, overlooking the water, Great custome service, decent menu with great vegan options. Can be quite busy and may be difficult to get a table for large crowds during peak times, which is completely understandable with the view and food!

Beautiful food, a VERY nice atmosphere. If you want a quiet meal, this is NOT the place to go. I've been here twice now and it's always busy. I can guarantee the 1/2 crayfish, salad and chips is a nice meal. I'm surprised they had any left by the time I got there. The last time they sold out. The staff are friendly and it's just a good place to eat and have a few drinks and relax. The ambience is nice. I'm DEFINITELY going to convince hubby. That we need to go back a few times. Before I go home to Qld! How do you put on false eyelashes So I can bat my lashes at him? 😉😉😉

Great food options. Great choice of beers. They serve coffee as well. The ambience is amazing. Definitely my favourite place on the river. Must try. Really great menu with lots of options from steak, fish and a good vegetarian diet. The pesto linguine is fresh and tasty. A dish I will definitely order again. My friend had the peppered calamari and they were succulent and crispy. Some of the best calamari I've tried. Great views, nice seabreeze. Fantastic way to watch the sunset over our beautiful city. 😍 ❤️

For a seaside pub, The Left Bank is great value. It isn't standout food but it is exactly what you expect from a pub style menu - classic burgers, steak sandwiches, fish and chips and calamari. They also had a standout sald, the sweet potato with turmeric crumb. Service was casual but good with enough beers on tap and wine selection to keep your average Jo happy.

We had a great time at this fun spot. When it was busy, we still received good service and enjoyed it. The atmosphere was a buzz and many different people were here. We liked the spicy margaritas (hot, WOW 👌) THE jugs of long Island iced Tea were refreshing and easy to drink. Our calamari was delicious and tender. Good spot.

As the wooden glass door slowly opened, a floor stone marked with 'Est 1900' appeared in front of my legs. Stepping into a 121 years old 2-story building, one will be surprised by the strong characteristic of this awesome and classical building. It has caught my breath. Suddenly, the joy filled me up as I walked around this great historical building. Perhaps, another potential cultural heritage of Freo. Looking at the Swan River from the balcony is so wonderful. It is worth it just to drop by and grab a light meal or a drink. Besides, free car parking bays. Value for money already. Have a great time, cheers!

Great venue but often very busy because of how well loved it is. Gets used a lot for bigger events and these are often expensive, tabs run out very quickly here it seems and food options always feel light. I really enjoy it here but tough to overlook the higher pricing.

Had a lovely breakfast with a friend at The Left Bank last Friday. There was a good selection to choose from on the menu. We both went for the Big Breakfast which was a generous size. No mushrooms though. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the little bratwurst was amazing. The coffee was also very nice. It’s an amazing spot with great views over the Swan River towards Fremantle harbour. There are plenty of seating options available with either inside or outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s free parking available next to the venue.

First 🌟 great location on River watch all the boats coming back from Rotnest Second 🌟 plenty of staff on hand, if you need something they actually accommodate which many pubs just tell you to get it yourself. Third 🌟 pool table, upstarts dining area outside, Park your motorcycle of scooters out front. Forth 🌟 good food, not to pricey, generous serving. Good beer selections. Fifth 🌟 over all great place for a Sunday sech.

After visiting a week before for lunch with a friend I returned with my partner to try breakfast and we weren't disappointed. Already a few people there we still found good seating with river views. The menu has heaps of variety and definitely value for money. I had an egg added to the vegetarian breakfast and the bean dish that came with it was delicious. My partner enjoyed the type of bun that the bacon & eggs came in and complimented their coffee, along with the setting under the tree looking toward the river. Very pleasant, as were the staff.

What a pleasant surprise! Always drove past but never stopped. Food was good, live music and fast service. Amazing pizzas and a good variety of beers. Highly recommended for summer months. Family friendly and wheelchair accessible. Parking available too.

What a gorgeous pub with beautiful views along the river. It is such a quirky place with heaps of choice. The music is great and so is the atmosphere. Heaps of local beers on offer. They have themed nights we were there on the Monday night for drinks and returned on the Tuesday night for dinner. It was family night and kids ate for free. Very popular with young families and the kids were very happily entertained in a special area set up for them. There was still other area in the pub for us to sit and not have a kid in sight. The food was yummy and reasonably priced. Loved the place and would high recommend.

A staff person informed us that we had to go outside because the football club had reserved every chair & table inside the whole venue. It was raining & cold outside. Great service, great venue. Reasonable wait time on meals and the bar service is as quick as they can be. There was a slight mix up with my food but they handled it perfectly, sorted drinks while we waited and then the food was out in no time. Very happy with everything here. 100% recommend

Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner with my partner. He ordered the seafood plate and I had the steak with sweet potato, onion, tomato and a red wine jus. Both meals were delicious! Service was quite friendly although I find it it a little strange that you have to get your own cutlery and water even when the place isn't busy (prices reflect a restaurant). Atmosphere was lacking a little... some louder or live music would have probably helped this. Would definitely come back for $17 steak and pint night on Thursdays!

My wife and I visited last night for the second time (first time at night) was blown away by the atmosphere even thought it was a wintery night. Service was excellent from a lovely young man and was very helpful when we were making dinner and beverage decisions. Sadly, when my food came out (cheese burger) the bun tasted awfully stale and really bought the quality of the meal, when I ask posed the questions of the stale buns, a server queried it with the kitchen and said they were from in-house. Even with that little mishap still a great night.

The Left Bank is a great spot to drop into and have a quiet beer and enjoy the sunset. Good selection of beers but prices are on the higher side. Food is about average for a pub - I'd drink here and save the eating for somewhere better. But good pubs are like good real estate - location, location, location. Sit outside in the sun, enjoy the passing watercraft on the river and have a yarn with a mate.

Been here a few times and love coming back. For just a random bar next to a bridge in Freo it has a great atmosphere about it, always busy which is good and the food serving sizes are as good as any pub around the place and plenty of choices on that too as well as the drinks. Can’t wait to see you next time.

Needed a place to celebrate our deceased goddaughter's birthday, with family & friends, & the LBank was able to help after another venue fell through at the last minute. Atmosphere was good with a guitarist singer. Wednesday evening so a nice crowd not too noisy so able have quiet, personal time together. Many varieties of beer available as well as wines & spirits. Good menu, we had the fish&chips ($26) and Lemon Pepper Squid ($25) we both enjoyed the meals. The chicken parmy was also a popular choice in our group, enjoyed by all. Entertainment Card discount for us👍 All in all a good night for all of us. Thanks to the management and staff.

Held our Xmas party here for 30 people. We were in our own private area up the top, which has a great view of the river. Having our own space, which had its own bar was amazing, and the right mix of ambience and being able to speak with others close by easily. A top night, a top spot, highly recommend for any kind of function.

Been a while since I was last here but as always, has delivered with style. The setting alone is worth the wait... Meals were ok with a large range of beers and wines oh so tempting, but being a business lunch was skipped (could get messy fairly easy given the relaxed atmosphere) and enjoyed the water and got stuck into some seafood! Great spot, good food! Big groups are well catered for too!

Lovely spot. Went for the loaded fries which were nice but not worth the price they were. Portion was small and they bulked it up with more onion than the bacon and smoked pork cheek. Wings were brilliant I must say and the service was good too. I would still recommend it to people and even go back myself and try a few other things

The food did not disappoint and we had some beautiful gyozas, sweet potato fries, child's chicken tenders and a cheeseburger. The kids meal was quite large and filled up our young one. The cheese burger was great, served with a good side serve of chips and the gyozas were definitely the best, but a little spicy for some. The Lefty still offers great views and good service.

This is a great place to eat, drink, and hang out with friends. I come here after work sometimes for drinks and the atmosphere is always great. Music is not too loud and there's usually a table available to sit at. It's right by the river and surrounded by plants and trees, which I love. There's a spot outside to leave your dogs, with shade and fresh water. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, they give great recommendations if you don't know what to have. Overall, it's a really nice spot.

The Left Bank has been here for years and it's not hard to see why. Location, location, location! They have good craft beer on tap, great menu, and a view of the river. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They do pizza and modern pub food. The only thing I don't like is the traffic bridge is very close.

Loved it! Food was yum as, we had the buttermilk chicken and calamari snacks, and a mocktail frozen strawberry daiquiri, YUM! Service was great, location great, plenty of parking, prices great. Best. Venue. Ever. We had our wedding reception at The Left Bank last night and it was just wonderful. Amazing staff, lovely ambiance, and seriously delicious food. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how great the food was. We felt so taken care of by the staff and we just can't recommend The Left Bank highly enough.

Beautiful spot on the river, good selection of food a drinks although the food is a little expensive for what you get. But that's the price you pay for the setting and the atmosphere I suppose. Between me and my partner, we've been here a few times recently but these are our experiences of the past couple times. The first time, one of the meals was served and it wasn't hot, management offered a replacement meal of our choice but not *that* meal as they had run out. They were super busy so we understand that these things happen and we still had a great time because of the location, the drinks and the vibe of the place. Most recently, my partner visited the place just a couple of nights ago and ended up with food poisoning after. So I guess my takeaway from it all is that it's a lovely place to come for drinks and a good night out but maybe think about having dinner first.

To start off with the venue is such a beautiful old pub that has been cared for so well overtime. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Abit windy outdoors but easily sorted with some blinds. Great view of the river. The food was absolutey amazing. Seafood cooked to perfection. Prices are a little higher but that is too be expected for the experience and quailty of the food. Also a notable mention to heavy chose the music that was playing - it really added to the atmosphere.

Come to the left bank many times now. The last time being new years eve and had a great time. The event was well put on and the staff were phenomenal. The reason I'm writing this review is because one of my friends got a little too drunk. He had stopped drinking but one of the security guards noticed the guard with the white shirt. He came and told me that be doesn't want to cut his night off early but he needs to stop drinking which I made sure of. I've never met a security guard to not be so far up himself. We continued and a had a good night with no problems Awesome place

It WAS a lovely setting for romance or drinking a quiet beer with your mates. Now they have kids under 12 eat free nights. Go to MacDonald's instead. In response to the very polite owners reply of my review.. Parents today just sit there staring like zombies at their phones and totally ignore the kids watching TIK TOK at full volume making other patrons cringe. If some rules where imposed on children like the behavioural standards of adults at your venue, it might be acceptable to have children there. Not my idea of a pleasant night out sorry.

A 5 star pub and restaurant all-rounder. Parties/Events are just as good if you need.. You are able to hire out the top floor that boasts a verryy retro setup with super-plush couches, a huge tv playing sports, if thats not your thing.. just watch the river go by! Recommended!

I and three others had a very pleasant lunch on a Sunday on the verandah overlooking the river. Food was excellent as we chose the BBQ crayfish followed by lovely desserts and coffee. I had a glass of Violet sparkling and when I ordered another was told they had run out in the restaurant. The young waiter later came back with glass he had procured from the cafe. That was a very resourceful move and he had a happy customer because of it. Despite having a large birthday party in the main part of the restaurant we, being on the verandah, could converse without having to shout and that was a big plus. Good location for a catch up with friends be it breakfast to lunch, not sure it so good for dinner as it maybe to noisy, just some feedback on the food scramble eggs ok but a little over done all the rest good, just need to look at the washing of the water glasses all looked cloudy and one had lipstick stain on still, saying that service was very quick.
