K. R.We had our wedding at the Melbourne hotel (11/12) and it could not have been better. We had to reschedule due to Covid twice but recently it went ahead without a hitch. The wedding coordinators were helpful, friendly and have a vision of what looks good and what is needed. We were made to feel special for our whole stay. We stayed in a beautiful suite with balcony. It was perfect for getting ready on the day and for taking gorgeous photos. The ceremony was in the Aurora rooftop & reception in the Karringal ballroom. Both locations are stunning. Food and drink were amazing. Fresh and tasty choices, just lovely. All the staff from front reception to the waitstaff on the day/night were very friendly but professional. Everyone was great.

A. G.Hotel was very elegant with modern design and architecture. Close to restaurants and cafes too. The room was comfortable (especially the king bed they arranged for us) and they were very kind to leave my partner and I with a bottle of wine for our anniversary.
However, we were a tiny bit disappointed by the dirty windows and small blemishes such as the fire sprinkler that looked like it was just a hole in the ceiling.
Overall our stay was really enjoyable as the staff were very generous and accommodating and the room was very reasonably priced.

# Room booked solely in my name, I didn't nominate if anyone else was staying with me.
# At quarter to 4pm I walked from work across the road to the hotel to check-in to meet my partner there at 4 pm. To my amazement, he'd been able to check in without having any identifiable proof that he was related to or approved by me to be given access to the room booked only in my name. Too bad if I'd have been trying to escape him for domestic reasons! Which very fortunately I wasn't.

The duty manager was very professional in listening to the issues and taking action saying he spoke to reception staff to remind them about proper check-in protocols.
However, there's other good hotels in Perth to avail before considering going back there again.
Seems like administrators are taking advantage of prime location but with little concern for quality assurance.
The roof top bar is excellent, great staff and city views but pricey. Downstairs bar great sports bar. Haven't used the restaurants.
We stayed in standard double room in the old building side in June 2021.

J. L.Very good. Just a couple of things to know before you arrive, however: the parking can be tricky and the coffee shop has weird hours and weirder management. Don't try getting coffee on Sunday after 11; apparently no customer ever has asked for that. They will direct you to a pokey coffee shop over the road. That might be okay if it is not raining, but don't make the mistake to stay overnight when it might be raining in the morning or you might end up as wet as the coffee you are after.

Ramen at Keisuki is delicious is delicious, and dinner at The Grand Orient is even better (try the Roast Duck mini-feast if there's two of you!). We got married at this hotel 20 years ago, and every incarnation of the building prior to this one was a disappointment, but this time they've really got it right!

The staff were awesome, especially at reception. We selected a balcony room, which was very nice, although the traffic noise at night was rather loud at times. Weekend dining was confusing and limited, and all our meals were at different city restaurants...
Much has changed inside since we were very much younger! I remember the very long bar to cater for the great number of patrons
As we both worked in the city, it was our Friday lunch spot, where we would get a bag of chips and a sausage, a Pot, (large beer for you younger ones) and watch “Juanita Del Fuego” do her skimpy fire dance on the stage. All this for around $3!! Great memories..
All in all, not a bad place for a staycation.

P. S.Room was a good size bed was super comfortable best night sleep I've had in a lo g time. Very quiet rooms there was a wedding on downstairs at the Grand Orient and we could not hear them at at all. Front desk staff were lovely as well.

The whole hotel is built around a have restored old building with apparent raw materials at selected places which I found very elegant.
The rooms are simply decorated but comfortable and elegant.
The a la carte breakfast is very filling and tasty.
M. M.A lovely historical heritage building on the outside, looks very welcoming. Inside is contemporary and sleek. There is a bar on the corner which is very friendly and good to to watch sport on the tv screens. The staff are extremely friendly and it was very nice to see senior staff coming and going and being nice to their staff.
The hotel foyer has a cafe shop and there are tables and chairs to sit and relax there. There is also a small restaurant area behind the bar. There are lifts in the hotel and the toilets on the ground floor are very and clean and decorated very nicely in contemporary style.
The food is delicious and was served quickly after ordering and I chose to eat in the bar....no problem.

D. W.I absolutely love the seamless transition between old and new. They have renovated this gorgeous landmark and preserved it's history so well. It makes for a welcoming, homely yet luxurious experience and the cuisine is generous, well priced and delicious. Dining under the beautiful natural light and highlighting the original exterior wall was a total highlight.

K. W.I have now stayed here twice. Both times in rooms with a balcony. Love the position of the hotel. Northbridge is but a short walk as well as the CDB. The staff are terrific and the rooms are well appointed. The only small issues I had was there was not enough coffee and tea in the room and that the shower flooded the bathroom floor no matter where the nozzle faced. If they are my only complaints then I really am clutching at straws. The hotel itself is beautifully restored leaving the original characteristics of the building on display in a very modern, tasteful manner. Would highly recommend this place as one of the premium, if not the best hotel to stay.
C. L.Lovely refurbished hotel located in a heritage building. Lovely design and ambiance that oozes understated luxury. Comes with a great bar and authentic Chinese restaurant (a ittle pricey) plus my favorite Ramen shop next to it. Rooms although a little small, are comfy and offers all the amenities required of the modern traveler. Staff were upbeat, professional and friendly which makes all the difference. Very clean and well maintained hotel. I'd definitely recommend and return the next time I'm back in Perth.
D.Did not actually stayed there, had a function there but that in it self was enough to dazzle me. The catering is one of the best I have ever tried of any hotel. THEY KNOW what dietary requirements are and how to PROPERLY cater to them. Also forgot my charger there and they had it safe and sound for me when I went back! Tyvm

The proximity to Kings Park is good for a morning jogging tour. What brings down the overall impression is the breakfast, very little value for money. Here the hotel needs to step up quite a bit. A better alternative might be one of the many coffee shops nearby.

There were a few restaurants located within the hotel area. We tried out the Ramen noodle shop and it was absolutely superb. The hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful. The only complaint we have is that we wish the roof top bar had some heaters outside because it was freezing cold sitting out on the balcony (the inside seemed to be all reserved). Other than that we had a lovely experience and would definitely go back some day given the chance.

A. T.It's ok, offers pretty much the same in the bar as many other modern refurbished Australian pubs. Would like to see a more unique offering rather than more of the same. Having said that the service is good, food is solid. Beer on tap is unremarkable. Perth pricing for beer, par for the course really. With the variety of choice available within cooee that present a more interesting offering, I'd go elsewhere. But you'll know what you get here, nothing wrong with that, plus there is sport up on the TVs.

J.I have been twice, free flowing hard boiled eggs and bean sprouts for dining in customers. I preferred the original during closing time on a weekend compared to a busy week day with black sesame flavour. The broth had a creamier mouth feel and the noodles were all dente in original flavour and the $2 egg is probably worth it.
L. M.Brand new hotel. Nice design. I was put in a assisted mobility room, though I don't have any need for it. Sometimes these rooms seem a little medical, but even the bathroom retained design elements. If I was in a wheelchair I don't think that I could use the desk however, especially trying to access the power points. For a new hotel the position of the power points at the desk seem very old fashioned, stuck behind the desk and occupied by plugs already. Gym is good, all new equipment and plentiful supply of antibacterial wipes. Room service menu is ok, not many healthy options. No mini bar, free water and tea coffee making facilities

C.The hotel was amazing! I travel a bit for work and each time I stay here I’m always impressed by the quality of the room and amenities. Although the food from the restaurant needs some improvement in my opinion, everything else is great. I look forward to returning in the new year.

Green tea flavour is not sweet like chocolate/red bean/custard, but I imagine is good for people who really enjoy their green tea flavour. I did not try the plain cream bun.
C. B.It's only been open this year but the place is amazing, especially upstairs where there's half a good view, and half a bunch of parking lots and run down looking walls... But I guess that's Perth.
Did I mention.. They make their own GIN!
They have floral gin for those who enjoy a more subtle and perfumey taste, and even spiced and dry for those after something crisp to finish their pallet with.
Either way give the place a go, and try out their food if you have time, but it'll all be a test of time to see how long they can maintain their current service and standards as with all places.

I. H.Arrived at 8pm - no staff working in the restaurant. One bar attendant covering the bar and the restaurant. Ordered scotch fillet. No English mustard, served bare when it was supposed to be served with harisa. Slaw was made with oil, not mayonnaise. Lovely fit out but was like Tokyo on NYs eve it was so bright. Bar attendant did not know how to turn the lights down! Steak was great quality.
B.Everything is great about the Melbourne hotel. Service, food, ambience and renovations of a high standard. Had a large group work dinner at De Baun and Co. Food was scrumptious and friendly service. Highly recommend.
L. A.Quite nice rooms, only complaint is that my very spacious bed was actually 2 singles with a solid ridge down the middle.
Get the hot breakfast, the Continental is a bit light on, and the hot breakfast was great.

M. D.high end classy place. Everything is really nice and beautiful but the gym isn't very geared towards people who don't cycle and run (or any type of cardio). There is no squat rack and bench. There is also no ergometer (rowing).

V. Y.I was attending for function at the Melbourne Hotel's ballroom yesterday. I love the preserve of the heritage building and combined of new renovated designs. Rooftop pub was a great idea and relaxing, having a drink and overlooked the night scene of Perth CBD.
P. I.All.new and clean. Could actually open the window a crack which is better than nothing. Very small room, bathroom was half the size of the room. Staff were great.
P. K.Excellent reno, shame they close everything like bars and food by 9.15pm during the week. I arrived on a late flight got to hotel just after 9.15 and couldn't get a drink or a meal. They advertise breakfast from 0630 onwards. I got there at 0640 and the chef hadn't turned up for work, a double disapointmen.
E. L.Very nice venue. I went to the ramen place called Keisuke Tonkatsu King. Really enjoyed my meal. The taste was just like in japan. It's a very small place and is quit busy. I don't reccomend going in a bigger group than 4, but 6 people could be accommodated. Be mindful you might be waiting a bit. I chose to have the normal broth, on the lighter side and soft noodles. We had complimentary eggs where we were sitting. The place is a licensed place, so you could have a drink with your taste meal.
A.Since the refurbishment the Melbourne Hotel has improvef dramatically Roof top bar in the afternoon / night was the highlight - drinks are made perfectly.
D. S.This hotel is a bargain hotel, and with a bargain you sacrifice a few things. My particular room did not have a window, and the carpet was all pretty old, but the price was right. The internet was inconsistent, but it was free. The cafe was actually pretty good with reasonable prices as well.
S. B.A nice refurbished hotel in a great location. The room was small though and the noise coming from a club nearby kept us awake. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

The rooftop Bar Aurora was a lovely experience, the view from the rooftop is a beautiful and sophisticated and is ideal to go late afternoon, perfect for after work drinks and also ok the weekends. The cocktails are delicious. The particular bartender who served my drinks had a lot of knowledge and skill and was able to make me the perfect cocktails to suit my sweet and sour tastings. Was very impressed.
Keisuke, serves delicious rich and flavorsome ramen that wants you wanting more, plus there are free sprouts and boiled eggs!
The cream buns at Hattendo were light and tasty. Could eat more and more!
Definitely looking forward to trying the Grand Orient and De Baun!
B. C.Ate at the new Chinese restaurant here. It looked very nice along with the hotel refurbishment. Food was decent but a bit on the pricey side for what we got compared to other places. Good for a lunch or dinner out!
C. K.Attentive service, good sized rooms. Has a gym. Good walking distance to CBD offices and shopping. Onsite restaurant is worth trying, so is the popular ramen place just next door. Parking in nearby Wilsons Carpark can be validated by reception, so you get discounted rates.

C. P.We had lunch and dessert for two in the casual bar area.
The two main dishes we ordered were delicious: the Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto and the Char-Grilled Half Chermoula Chicken. The risotto was rich in flavour and had the correct creamy texture. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by a creative tahini yoghurt and harissa mixed sauce.
An extra mark goes to the waitress who set our table with napkins and cutlery even though the bar area doesn’t provide full table service, with orders being placed at the bar.
For dessert we had the hazelnut brownie with vanilla bean ice cream, which was devine. The only suggestion to the kitchen to improve this dessert is to make the ice cream more proportional to the brownie. We mixed the two ingredients together, and the ice cream scoop provided was quite small and only lasted half the brownie.
