Great food and drinks. So far, the best sangria, chorizos, and churros I’ve tried in Perth. Service is very friendly however someone forgot about our order and we waited a lot for our food. I would definitely go back and give it another go :)

Had a great evening here with friends. Servings on the small side but more than made up for in taste. Triple fried patatas bravas are a standout. Great service and even had an impromptu mini wine tasting to help us choose our drink.

I'd been there a few times before and the food never disappointed. I went for dinner in recent weeks and was disappointed with the menu. Nothing exciting for the tapas, disappointing very very salty chorizo and the only saving grace on the menu was the seafood paella. Bring back the old menu - please and thank you.

Had a fantastic dinner here with friends. Food was awesome! So many gluten free options. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had exceptional service from Jennifer and Eric. Can’t wait to come back.

The croquettes were AMAZING, patatas bravas were spicy but not that flavoursome, Iberian ham was fatty and not that flavoured as well, the paella Valencia was also lacking flavour/spice however the squid ink paella was DELICIOUS!! WE should have ordered more of that. Cocktails took forever to be made and delivered to our table - however the Pisco Sour was also delicious. The staff were extremely friendly & approachable however the wait for food and drinks was slightly ridiculous. The price for everything was also higher than normal and not necessarily worth it. Though it is a great location. Toilets are not disabled friendly.

The food was really yummy! (We tried the potatoes, Brussel sprouts, croquettes and paella). Pretty pricey (especially for the seafood paella that didn't have a huge amount of seafood on it). The atmosphere was quite loud, and the chairs were't very comfortable; high tables and bar stools rather than table and chairs. The staff were very lovely.

Loved the place, my new favourite tapas bar in Perth. Staff are friendly, helpfull and eager to assist. The atmosphere is cosy and intimate, readily accessible upstairs and down. There is a lift to the upstairs bar where the dancing and the magic start after an awesome feast downstairs. Totally rocked out to a themed 80's night with a fantastic DJ. Loved the wall paper in the toilets👍👍👍

Located on hide away Street near the central business district of Perth. Cosy informal dial Spanish restaurant with cooks coming from Catalonia and South America. Tapas and paella are good. Patata bravas and olives are very good. Calamari is ok. They have a variety of different paellas. The squid ink paella 🥘 was slightly disappointing.it lacked the good flavour that one has come to expect of Sepia ink.

First time eating at The Spaniard and I will definitively be back. We ordered almost all the tapas available and they were all great. I went with three Aussie male friends that can eat a lot and they all loved it and left the restaurant full and satisfied. The gin tonics are also nice, served in balloon glasses (not so common to find here). The staff were really nice, Jennifer made sure we had everything we needed, friendly and very helpful whilst also providing us with the space to enjoy our dinner. In summary, great tapas and lovely evening.

Ordered several dishes and they were all amazing! The squid paella is a personal favourite as it is rich with flavour and is very delicious! I also enjoyed hamon which also tasted really good. The service was top notch! The Columbian waitress who served us clearly knows what to suggest and is very accomodating and hands-on to the the customers. The ambiance was also lovely and very chill. The music’s not too loud — it’s actually soothing. Anyone who’s reading this review should not think twice. This is the perfect place to be if you want to indulge in great food and quality service from the staff. We would definitely come back!

We had a big party booked for a night out in the Spaniard. On first impressions I wasn't sure how it was going to go. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the upstairs area was a little cramped but made for a more enjoyable experience as we were all close and could chat more openly. This was my first experience of tapas and I was very impressed by the flavours and service from the team. The food was cooked really well and everyone had a great night. I can't wait for the next party to get arranged to go back to The Spaniard. Loved it!!

I found this place last minute on a Saturday night, and I could not have been more impressed. Cool atmosphere. Great food. Loved it so much ended up having my Engagement Party here. Everyone did such a great job, especially Kimberly, making the party a success. People have been saying to me for weeks how much they enjoyed the party and location. Thank you!

Great cocktails for a decent price ($18 average), and a wonderful ambience if a little loud. The tapas is a little pricey but incredible and adventurous, with a rotating list of daily house specials that range from blue cheese croquettes to platters of lightly fried cuttlefish! The upstairs room is a little more chill, and the staff go out of their way to make sure you are having a great night. Friendly attitudes make a huge deal of difference, and easily makes up for the price. Highly recommended.

Excellent tapas, friendly staff and honest pricing. I was in a night out with friends from work, we decided to start our night at The Spaniard. Busy december, full of office functions everywhere - They manage to find us a nice table, the food was impressive and the beer selection was top notch. For the rest of the night we roamed the city trying to find another bar to continue the hop, to no avail. We ended up getting back to the Spaniard for a few more drinks. Highly recommend.

Great paella and Spanish tapas... but super noisy! We shared some tapas to start with and had some nice wine with it and then shared a paella which was really delicious and original with lots of crusty rice burnt into the pan as it should be for paella... food recommended.

Although the wait staff were lovely and the food was well presented I feel the experience as a whole could have been improved. We weren't greeted on arrival and directed to a free table, all free tables needed wiping over so we ended up sitting at a dirty table. We weren't sure who was a staff member due to having no set uniform. The staff were very helpful once we sat down and the food came out fairly quickly although all at different times so I was almost finished my food by the time my partner's food came out. The chorizo although looked lovely, lacked spice and flavour. The potatoes were amazing! It wasnt great to see a staff member wipe their nose while waiting to take out ready plates of food. This is intended as feedback not criticism, to help your business I hope 😊

Really nice and friendly bar. Great selection of beer, wine and spirits to go with the Spanish tapas. Keep an eye on the tapas and dessert specials as some real treats there that change constantly. Will be visiting again to see what's on the menu and have a drink.

Had a work Christmas party here last weekend and the food was good, but there was nowhere near enough. The platters were placed on the tables and left there, meaning the vast majority of people missed out as they were standing around the bar or mingling. The staff were very polite and fun though.

Can't speak highly enough of this place. Called late and profusely apologised for the 30+ people that were about to walk in that were a part of our birthday crew. They took it on and said "no worries, next time try and call earlier but we can house you." They kept the top floor open for us, the service was excellent, the drinks were excellent, an all round excellent bar. Thanks again guys!

Vising from Brisbane, dined here on Friday and Saturday nights, which is the true test for any establishment. We received great service and wonderful food, the staff took the time to explain the menu when asked, the wines were also good. Most of the staff are Spanish which adds to the authenticity of the experience. Love your work guys!

One of my favourite spots in Perth. Great choices of drinks with an attention to detail on Spanish sips. Food is quality as well, my favourite meal being the paella which is great for sharing on a date or in a group. Being tucked away down a laneway is great in keeping it not too busy but not dead quiet either. The bar and dancefloor upstairs holds events frequently but the restaurant underneath is where the real star shines.

(Translated) It is a Spanish tapas bar with a very pleasant atmosphere, although it is possible to go through the parking lot to visit the main street. It feels similar to Itaewon Spanish restaurant in Korea. Most are foreigners and few Asians. The seafood paella (a paella must be ordered by two or more people) based on the market price was also reasonably priced without exceeding the other paella price at a fixed price, and the wine and cocktail list is sufficient. There is no non-alcoholic drink, but upon request, it made non-alcoholic mojito and the aroma and taste were perfect. The seafood of paella and shrimp gambas was fresh, and the shrimp of paella was so big that it was surprising. There was a lot of seafood and it was flavorful, and it is a recommended restaurant for acquaintances. This is wonderful place and the dish is perfect. They have list of enough Wine and Cocktail. We ordered 'seafood paella', 'gambas' and 'wine and mojito'. All seafood is so fresh. The price is reasonable althouth the seafood paella is Market Price. And bartender made and served non-alcohol Mojito (without menu) for me. It taste good and I love it. (Original) 대로변에서 찾아가기에는 주차장 같은 곳을 지나갈 수도 있으나, 아주 분위기가 좋은 스페인 타파스 바였음. 한국 기준 이태원 스페인 레스토랑과 비슷한 느낌이 듬. 대부분 외국인이며, 동양인은 거의 없었음. 시가 기준인 해물 빠에야(빠에야는 2인 이상 주문해야 함)도 정해진 가격의 다른 빠에야 가격을 크게 벗어나지 않는 적당한 가격이었고, 와인 및 칵테일 리스트가 충분함. 논알코올 음료는 없지만 요청하니 논알코올 모히토를 만들어주었고 향과 맛이 완벽했음. 빠에야와 새우 감바스의 해물이 신선했고, 빠에야의 새우는 너무 커서 놀랠 정도였음. 해물이 많이 들어가서 풍미가 있었고, 지인들에게 추천할 수 있는 레스토랑임.
