Came here to use the driving range and was very impressed. Two story with covering and also uses "Top Tracer" which uses computers to read your balls flight path albeit sometimes I think its a bit off. Would recommend for everyone and even if you dont play gold you would have fun just smacking some balls. The price was fair and the blokes behind the counter were welcoming, courteous and efficient.

I have visited the golf course multiple times in the past month and what can i say, this is an amazing facility with outstanding and beautiful fairway. As an amateur golfer myself, the driving range is very high tech with TopTracer technology. The pro shop staff are very nice lads with a passion for good service. The cheesy sausage in the club cafe are beautiful and i eat them while i play. My favourite part of the whole course is the putt-putt course. I recommend this incredible facility to any golfer!

What a great golf course with friendly staff. especially I am really impressed with Daniel who manage to repair my old buggy. I bought the buggy quite a while ago, Daniel has repaired it with substantial effort as there is no part supplying anymore. definitely recommend Perth golfer!

Great course not the toughest but easy to book, good pro shop, good Cafe and bar, driving range double decker with ball tracking. Chipping green, putting green. Well maintained, public course, well managed.

Decent practice facilities, although I do not like hitting off practice matts. Chipping and putting greens are in good condition. Pro shop well stocked and canteen has some good deals, beer too. Course is in pretty good condition, small greens so approach shots need to be on point. Considering how popular it it is for all levels of golfers it is kept to a reasonable standard but do expect divots on greens, footprints in bunkers, and chewed up tee boxes as is the nature of a popular public course.

As a first time visitor to Whaleback I must say an enjoyable experience. Friendly pro shop staff, very tricky pin locations and pleasant weather. The par 3, 13th is a very pretty hole. The only criticism from our group was, the poor tee boxes. (Uneven). Thanks for a good day out. We look forward to our next visit. A very easy walking course.

Only used the driving range and chipping green. Since I last came there's now a shot tracer to indicate the distance of your shots - very helpful, albeit just a rough guide as there is a little bit of difference between range balls and your own course ball. Chipping green was in good condition. UPDATE: Played the back 9 holes today. Really well maintained fairways and greens. Thankfully not too punishing for a hacker like me!

Finding golf only slightly more interesting than walking, if you get asked to play here it's worth accepting. I don't envy anyone having to keep a course looking good in WA sand and sun, but here they do. If you CBF doing an 18 hole mid week, it was $29

An excellent course for a family day out. A relaxed round of 9 holes, or a serious grind over 18. Motorised buggy hire and a great cafe with a bar. They have a roast on Thursday nights and the service is very friendly and helpful. Definately going again!

I only got to try the driving range here but we pleasantly surprised. Staff are friendly and eager to please. I am only a hack golfer and this was a treat from my son. So cannot comment on price or able to comment in relation to other venues. I sliced skipped and studded my way through a bucket of balls much to my mirth and amusement of others. The two tiered range was well attended so I assume is well liked. To be honestm.nnest as bad as I was I would go again.

One of the best Public golfing facilities in WA. The driving range is brilliant, well stocked Pro Shop with pleasant knowledge staff. The course is always in good condition. Only down side is Food and Drinks could be cheaper.

Usually play marri park, Armadale or Glen iris when it was open but it's a decent public course but play is very very slow. We booked to play as a 2 ball before work as my wife and I normally scoot around 9 holes in around an hour and a quarter, but we were forced to make up a 4 ball (lovely guys we played with) but it took 2.5 hours to play 9 holes! They focus on packing as many people as possible on the course instead of dealing with the scourge of Australian golf; slow play... Will stick with the places that don't take so long with everyone in a 4 ball.

For the price, 5 stars. As far as golf courses go, it's just meh. They recently installed equipment at the driving range to track your shots. Really nice knowing exactly how far you smashed the ball.

First time at a driving range and while a tad lost at start, the cost was affordable and the automation of the tees and dispensers and the on screen display of where your ball went made the whole experience flawless and enjoyable

Simply the best cafe and functions room, Golf shop is very good with great products the Cafe and Coffee with outdoor seating watching over the golf range is peaceful and perfect, parking is no problem and the Tennis 🎾 Courts are very good, the lessons there are also.

My visit to Whaleback was to sit for my ham radio licence. The day's I was there is was 42c Saturday and 43c Sunday and was very hot. Inside temperature inside the Bunker (Scout Hall) was 48c. I made it through my 3 day course and got 94% pass. Considering the heat, that was an excellent score.

Cool driving range with a 2 storey facility. They have the option to tee up your ball with a foot lever. Back 9 holes is the better option with a nice little hole across the lake. Pro shop staff are friendly and helpful and can offer coaching facilities as well.

This one of the few metropolitan Scout and Girl Guide facilities. Great for wide games, group camps and meetings large or small. BYO activities or enquire with River Ranges Scout Commissioner Trees and grassed area complete with camp ring and flagpole, but no shower facilities. Golf course seems nice too if you like that sort of thing. Lots of people driving round in buggies hitting little white balls all over the place.

Sensational well manicured golf course which I have almost tamed. Unfortunately I am reliant on blaming weather conditions and the suspect calibre of my playing companions for some of my less than world class efforts. Lucky us having such a top notch course close handy in the Metro.

Worked here for 1 year as a Range and Pro Shop Staff Member. It was a great job, tiring and slightly repetitive, but nonetheless, it was a great environment to work in. My perception of the staff may be warped due to this fact, but everyone that works there is great! They are all friendly, helpful and knowledgable in all things golf; from equipment, to repairs, to accessories, and even to golf tuition. I can't comment on the pricing of their physical goods sold in store, since I don't have any other reference points to compare Whaleback's prices to, however, if you want a game of 9-holes or 18-holes, Whaleback Golf Course is definitely the best value for money, based on the cheap pricing and good greens. Golf balls for the driving range are also excellent value, and I'm yet to find a better priced golf course that offers the same experience that you get at Whaleback. Yes, it is an experience; whilst some may take it for granted, the well maintained two-level driving range, with automatic ball dispensers and vending machines on both levels, as well as realistic feeling turf at each station (which can hold upwards of 50 people!) with included tees and automatic ball loaders (bottom level only), Whaleback Golf Course's Driving Range feels like a premium high rollers private golf club for a fraction of the price (if that fraction was 1/10,000,000)! Cheap games of golf on high quality holes, paired with premium driving range and chipping practice, on top of superb customer service; how could you get any better! Just don't rock up to the driving range 5 minutes before closing and ask for a large bucket of balls, because that got irritating very quickly as we all have to wait for you to hit your balls at a snail pace.

Lovely course, pricing is ok. Can get quite busy which can lead to long wait times at tees but if you pick your times well it's usually not an issue.
