Went to the drag brunch on the roof today. Honestly best value for money in Sydney. Lovely bar staff and management complemented with a 2 hour drinks package three course meal and drag performances by Sydney’s best in the biz. Only $69 a must do for those who love Sydney’s hidden gems

The Burdekin recently hosted our work drinks, and to say it went well is an understatement. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure the afternoon ran smoothly. From the security guards to the bar and wait staff, the team worked hard to take care of us and make sure we were having a great time. I was extremely impressed by, and grateful for, the level of care and consideration shown by all members of staff, but especially the management team - who made sure everything went off without a hitch and regularly checked in with us. Blown away by the fun and professionalism of the team - will definitely be booking the space again for future events!

One of the still hidden gems of Sydney, the Burdekin has been a feature of Sydney for years and great to see it coming back to life again. Thursday night trivia can't be beat, the host and questions are fun, not too easy but hard enough to be fun, and is, luckily for our team, still not super busy! The menu is great, huge range and far better than most "gastro pubs" in the area. Do yourself a favour and check it out!

I had my 21st on the rooftop here a couple months ago, the managers and all the staff were amazing and made sure all my questions were answered and the night was a success. Beautiful chill atmosphere on the rooftop perfect for events or small get-togethers.

Lots of levels. I knew the Burdekin as an old styled Oxford street trendy pub. Now it is a multi level Stormin Norman pub with a band, a big hip party level and an old style chit chat get to know ya top floor level. Plus Roofie garden. Bigger and better but pls bring back the yellow tiled Burdekin pub as well . Closed cos of Covid.

Great space. The multiple levels.means there were 3 totally different nights going on in the one place! The drinks are good, the staff are nice and they all try hard to give people an awesome night. Would recommend for dance and fun but not a quiet drink with friends.

Since renovation, the venue is more aesthetically pleasing. The rooftop is nice, with a bar. Bathroom is a bit of a trek and involves lots of stairs. Lift is not very reliable. Can order and pay at your table.

Nice to see the Burdekin open. Clean and comfortable, covid responsible but not restrictive ( like other places carry on) My only criticism is the bar pricing was a bit expensive.. Maybe put a local beer on tap at a lower price point and it will be competitive with the few other venues happy hours.

I love this place as a fun music venue! Where else can I head in to a nightclub sound, go up one floor to a metal concert, go up another floor and there's a rave! Bless them for supporting Sydney's music scene. Such a great place ❤

At first I have to say that the Burdekin club is a really good club with really good electronic music. I have spent several nights over there but the bouncers are the worst. They are way too picky or they choose randomly who they want to let in and not. If they ask you how many drinks you had, never they that you had some because thats a no go for them, or it was just me. To sum it up, the club is really good but the bouncers not

At first I have to say that Burdekin is the best club for electronic music in Sydney. Its so much fun to dance there but the bouncers at the door are quite unfriendly and choose randomly who they want to let into the club and not. so try your luck and enjoy the nights at Burdekin

Good place. I've attended bear events here. Nice drinks and friendly bar staff. I have experienced one credible incident of racism from the security here. So, if you are a person of colour, worse of South Asian origin, well, watch out. Some people don't like you here.

My best and most memorable nights have been at the Burdekin. Great vibes and a pumping atmosphere; with some of the best and most current international deep house DJ's regularly gracing their stages, I really haven't found a place like it. The rooms across 5 levels have so much character and are great for birthday parties. The staff are always accommodating and friendly. Definitely going back.

The Burdekin is quite a well known place. It is popular with locals and the few times I have been there it is always a friendly place where you can get a fair few ales, a variety of places to sit and quite good pub food. The live acts are worth supporting and getting harder to find in Sydney. Check out the happy hour specials, which I think usually end at 7pm.

The Burdekin is a Sydney institution and one of the old vanguard of bars which gives the city it's well placed sense of personality. More then that, it gives us a drinking whole devoid of pretention and where the alternative people can thrive and dance. I think places like the Burdekin are the best and Sydney needs more of them

I have been going to this place since the turn of the millennium and have seen and lived through many of it transformations and reinventions. Always keeping up with the times if not ahead of them, The Burdekin has always provided punter, promoter and DJs alike with a friendly atmosphere and a vibe like few others in Sydney. This is mainly due to management and licensees hand picking bar staff and door staff which make one feel at home, as well great bar service and the best entertainment week in week out. Musically speaking, the venue has had the crème de la crème DJs play there over the last decade and also stands out from other places when considered as a function or party space. Quite simply, consistency and longevity is it's secret and thanks to two names: Tony and Anna. As long as they are there, The Burdekin will always being at the top of the list as a choice of venue and option for weekday drinking or weekend partying. Here's to many more years to come guys!
