Tony behind the bar was a legend! Couldn't hit a feature but Tony made it worthwhile. Was even with a large group and Tony showed us to the side room that was empty and had a pool table and seated area to mingle. Cheers Charlie Chan's and Tony!

Excellent Authentic Thai food. Over the course of 2 meals we had 8-10 dishes and all of them were excellent even for Thai standards. The dishes can vary greatly in taste and style. They seem to fit all the major dishes in Thailand and prepared them really well in a small kitchen. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Thai food.

Good Thai food. Price start from $5.90 for a small noodle which was generous with the meat and vegetables. The address listed here is George Street but i actually entered the shop from Sussex Street. Cash only for payment. I wanted also Thai ice milk tea but it was weird they don't sell any beverages. Update Feb 2020: prices has gone up to $6.90 for one small bowl of noodle. Noodle still good though.

I liked the food and the service there. The interior is a little confusing since there are two areas but you can just ask for help. The food is good. It is a thai cuisine i'm pretty sure. The menu had a good description if you didn't know what was in the meals. Good prices too. (The image is my finished meal)

Ordered the crispy fried pork noodle (best seller) and wow! My meal tasted authentic, fresh, and crispy to perfection! I stumbled along this place walking down Chinatown looking for a good bite to eat and I was so pleased that I plan on coming back here again! Also ordered a beer from the connecting bar and couldn't be happier. I didn't have to wait long for my food and after adding some extra chili spices to the meal, I will 100% come back.

Squeezy seats. Cash only. Drinks aren't served. You'll have to get it separately from a bar about 10 metres away. Good taste, good serving size, served fast. For casual dining, it's definitely a good place.

A little bit small. But, good atmosphere with a pool table (dont tap to play will cost you 3 dollars per game) put in 1 dollar coin instead. It is linked to a thai restaurant at the back with plenty of indoor and outdoor pokies. Great place to spend a few hours after work.

A little over crowded and slightly dull venue. Drinks, were drinks .. one of the male servers on that particular night were quite rude, and had a attitude problem (considering everyone in the venue was well behaved) also the Security officer inside the building was behaving and explaining to us as if we couldn't understand English how to scan a QR Code.

Charlie Chan is solo traveller friendly, also kind to the wallet - meal under $10. I’ve ordered a small bowl Tom Yum noodles which hits the spot at 5pm after a long walk in the CBD. The bartender also made me a non alcoholic version of their cocktails even though it was not on their menu, so I got a lychee mocktail instead :) Very happy and would recommend it!

Charlie Chan's has a laid back, low key sort of vibe. The front has a fireplace which is rustic but then there's a television above the fireplace. The middle is a corridor of green cushioned seats and the back is where you order your thai food. The thai is reasonably priced and well cooked. When I used to work in Haymarket, Charlie Chan's was a regular venue for your after work drinks. They have great cocktail specials but it's now changed. They have very reasonably price bottles of wine too. They have what they call the 555 special which means there are $5 James Squires, $5 House Wine and Sparkling and $5 house spirits from 6pm to 9pm. You better get there on Thursday or Friday nights though for their half price cocktails from 6pm to 9pm. My favourite cocktails were the Berry Chi or your classic cosmo. However I had to settle for my normal Vodka Cranberry as I was last here on a Wednesday evening. Enjoy a quiet drink and a quick thai dinner in good company. Location: 631 George St, Sydney, 2000

Mrs. Chan's kitchen is a unique little restaurant that was beside our hotel in Sydney. They are open extremely late and serve up some great Thai food. The fried rice is surprisingly spicy, in a good way! Come with cash as they are cash-only.

A nice delicious Thai food in the pub - Charlie Chan. I’ve been dining here since I came to Sydney 6 years ago in 2012. My colleagues and I would come for a drink or two after work in Charlie Chan and grab the food when we are hungry after few drinks. Full of Thai flavour and interesting menu with all sorts of style in rice, soup noodles, starters, fried rice, etc. Missus loves to come over for a spicy soup noodles and their fried rice when she feels of having the hot blast of spice. Beers and Thai food really do match perfectly well. Good place for drinks and food.

Eventhough my friend insisted she didn't order and, staff was sure he didn't make a mistake, we got a refund and enjoyed our original two dishes!
