The food is absolutely AMAZING! We strongly recommend this place. Super friendly staff, spotless environment. The tap beer and wine selection was huge, my husband was in heaven. Great view too.

Highly recommend this place! Right in front of the Brunswick river as a beautiful view with your meal. Came for the $20 steak special on Wednesday and did not disappoint, delicious steak and crispy chippies. Such good value and just a great experience overall.

It was a little confusing at first where to sit as there was a restaurants but couldn't see a bar. The restaurants served sushi, which was delicious and was presented nicely. There were also burgers, pizza and chicken wings which arrived in ample portions. Would definitely go again.

Drinks and dinner here last night. Beautiful old Australian pub, massive beer garden under a canopy of umbrellas and greenery. FYI: The menu has been revised during covid so don’t rely on google for the menu. They have a sashimi chef and beautiful sushi and California rolls. Outstanding sushi for a pub. I had the southern fried chicken burger which was yummy but I was envious of my friends sushi. Acoustic duo playing near the bistro that you can still talk over. Drinks prices are good and food prices great. I would definitely visit again soon

The place is good. But it has changed so much over the years. Myself and many of the locals find it used to be much better, such as the food, vibe, etc. Food is ok, menu much smaller and well over priced. Food is priced like some 5 star ala carte restaurant where they come out and serve you, this was not the case at all. It was a bistro style service where you have to line up for 20 mins, get served by a young rude overworked and underpaid staff just to wait another 30 mins to get up and pick your food up to take it to your table. Overall, I rated it 3 stars, which I was going to give it a 2 stars. The reason being is because I'm a local and I support local jobs, even though this hotel has been brought out by a company from Sydney.

The place is great, right across the road from the beach with great spot to swim. You can sit inside or outside, they have plenty of shaded spots, or umbrellas. The view is lovely. The sushi is yummy and comes out fast. The other orders are slower and the foods not that great. Although it has been in the past. Maybe different chef. We have been there 4 times now & twice good food & twice not so good. The alcohol gingerbeer is great. This place can get packed out and it may take a while to get a table in the summer.

A Beautiful, historic, family-friendly venue,complete with stage for 360 degree views of the live band. Pub feed was fabulous for vegetarian/vegans however I regret not ordering the sushi 6:30pm cutoff and I missed it! Venue includes a playground for young kids that my son thoroughly enjoyed! Highly recommend for all! A top tier Australian Pub!

Very busy on weekends people everywhere not like the old days where basically every one knew each other now it's a machine to sell alcohol and food although covid did stop all food services here so maybe it's back now...jam packed on a Sunday never to this day has the brunz hotel had good reviews on food or service ... usually a band on a Sunday lots of outdoor seating with umbrellas a park across the road parking is tough with limited spaces very popular amongst tourists and day trippers

Can't go past the beauty of this Pub's location and architecture. Meals are large. They cater for vegetarians and the gluten intolerant. Great family place with loads of room and multiple choices of ambient seating. As a local of 40 plus years, I enjoy meeting here with family and friends. And when the live music is on, even better if you're into a party night.

After reading very impressive reviews of Hotel Brunswick it was a must on the to do list. Beautiful and inviting family-friendly venue, well laid out outside for a live band - which were amazing. The food was great, there's options for everyone including sushi until 6:30pm (with a very strict cutoff) The portions were generous and the food was fresh. Definitely recommend this place for dinner & drinks

Love going here food is great and fun easy going atmosphere. Great country pub located on the river of a little seaside town. A little understaffed at times, took a long time to have the table cleaned that we scored after previous patrons left. I understand having to wait for a table as it is testiment to the pubs popularity but I think that it should be cleaned with in 5 minutes or so of it being vacant, particularly in peak periods. Anyway that would not stop me going back.

From the friendly staff following the COVID-19 guidelines through to the awesome beer garden it’s hard to fault this iconic venue. All of the staff were super friendly. The bar system worked well and there was never a wait at the large old school bar. There is a good selection of food with many specials and pizzas. We ordered the streak and it was cooked perfectly - surprisingly as they were busy. There are so many different areas to sit and enjoy an afternoon beer it’s hard to go past as the best pub in the northern rivers area. A must visit.

Took our family here for dinner and we had a very nice meal. Ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and it was absolutely on point - probably one of the best pub schnitzels I've ever had and I've had a few. We also ordered the Haloumi Salad and this was equally as delicious with generous servings of Haloumi which is always a mystery when ordering a dish with Haloumi. Very family friendly place, nice outdoor seating to enjoy our food and the staff were very friendly. Good vibe at Hotel Brunswick and we'll definitely recommend to others travelling up this way.

My wife and I had a lovely lunch in the courtyard it has a great, relaxing atmosphere. Beer battered Hoki and vegetable samosas - excellent! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Very busy on the holiday, was quite annoyed they sold me Oysters then told me they were all sold out, but only once I went up there to ask for them first since the order was taking a long time. They did give me my money back and drinks on the house which was a great gesture, but they need to do something about the inventory system. Lovely place with great views but was very disappointed with the menu. Took some friends from Western Australia there for a seafood lunch only to find there is hardly anything seafood on their menu. The food we had was ok, but I think more effort could be put into their menu and current dishes. Great views and right on the water next to a park for the kids to have a run and play.

This place has always held a place in my heart. I met some family there to have a few drinks before walking to Brunswick river to scatter my mums ashes. Then we came back to have some pizza. Oh my God. They were the best pizzas I've ever had. The band was awesome also.

Always love this place, although as it gets trendier it's loosing it's lazing around feeling. It's a perfect place for a relaxing afternoon after visiting the beach. It's just across from the river too. Walking distance from Reflections Caravan Park. There is usually a band playing in the late afternoons, but you would need to look it up to see what's on. The big bands like OKA, pack the place out. The food is very good and priced well for the quality. Not your usual pub food. Great range of beers too.

Great atmosphere and live music. The building is gorgeous, a wonderful authentic country pub. It is a really lovely place to sit and have a drink, with fantastic views of the river. There is a little playground in the grounds and a public playground across the road, overlooked by the pubs patio, so it's great for families. If you enjoy live music this is definitely the place for you, with great live bands, particularly on weekends. All your basic alcohol options, a few of the more widely available craft beers and an alcoholic ginger beer option. If it is raining seating becomes limited as most is outside. The dinning area inside becomes quite crowded, hot and noisy. Also there is no live music when it rains. Definitely book if you do want to eat dinner on a rainy day. Food is hit and miss and quite overpriced for what it is. They do have some vego/vegan options and vegan icecream. The steak was average and I would recommend getting sauce on the side because they drown your meat otherwise. The steak was tender but the outside was soft rather than seared, it seemed like the cooking surface wasn't hot enough. However, on another occasion, a friend had a steak which was burnt on the outside and raw inside. Not what you expect for a $30 steaks. My local pub does better $15 steak night steaks!! The soft tacos are quite good, nice tender meat, good fresh flavours, slightly spicy mayo, coriander and lime. Lovely crunchy coleslaw. I would have liked less meat and more slaw but that is just my preference. The burgers are not great. The beetroot and pineapple dominate and you end up with mouthfuls of just bread, pineapple and beetroot. The wagyu patty is quite bland. Very disappointing. Even the chips are below average. My overall rating is based on the atmosphere and location more than the food. I really love a pub that puts emphasis on live music rather than pokies. This pub has them but they are unobtrusive.

I don't drink alcohol however I was at this pub with friends a few times over the weekend and am so impressed. This venue has everything from an excellent food range at reasonable prices, top quality live music at night, comfortable outdoor and shaded seating, big screen for sports viewing. Staff were friendly and helpful. I noticed also that the bouncers were keeping those few who were getting a little over the top on the grog, in control quietly and without confrontation. A great spot for families and all at Hotel Brunswick. I will be recommending Hotel Brunswick enter Asia Pacific-Australia Tourism Awards, they will do well, I am sure!

Truly amazing this is such a beautiful spot for a pub. I've only been here once and i found it so hard to leave. They have perfectly set out the beer garden with tables and chairs under umbrellas and trees. The veiw from here of the river is spectacular. With live music, popular bands, and epic artists, the Brunswick Hotel really knows how to run smoothly, and has a very welcoming, upbeat, and exciting atmosphere. Run well and with great staff, this place is a must to either eat at with meals that are well sized and delicious, have beers or wines that are carefully selected to be some of the best around the area, or sit down and enjoy the beautiful Brunswick area whilst overlooking the water. The perfect place to go for a day trip. The Brunswick Hotel offers a great feed and plenty of refreshment for a great price but also a fantastic view. It is very family friendly and has a great vibe. A great place to stay at a very reasonable price. We had a room facing the front verandah and the river. No ensuite, but the bathrooms were always clean and sparkling. Bedroom decor suits the Pub and the beds were comfortable enough. All noise ceases shortly after 10.....so that was good! All the usual Pub food on offer downstairs. The Bruns is a great pub, it could be epic but hey we are not in Ireland. The pros are the views and seating areas with good options on the drinks front. The cons are still the food. Its fine for the holiday goers but when you live here and have to leave to eat somewhere else its quite annoying. My wife and myself gave the food another go two weeks ago and were reminded yet again why we dont eat there. The vegan burger was some deep fried burnt mush with a sad side salad and my brisket tacos were so dry my jaw ached that night. I just dont get why the food never goes beyond that locked in standard. I guess the turnover is so high from holidays makers that they dont need to improve. Shame really as I love this place aside from that.

Myself and a friend ordered a meat lovers pizza with half dairy free (due to a dairy allergy) and half normal. When we received it there was more dairy on one half but also some dairy on all the other half. The girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful. When we received the new pizza it was very overcooked and a lot of the topping had to be removed to make the pizza edible. Definitely not something we would order again and definitely not worth $22.

We stayed at the pub upstairs as we had travelled down from the Gold Coast for the night to see another great live band. (Fuzzy Bear) the room are basic we had a Queen bed, but nice and clean, shared bathrooms a nice verandah and a shared kitchen and shared entertaining area. The pub has great service amazing food and the best atmosphere and you can cross the road and walk down and out to watch the surfers and ocean rolling in. It is so relaxing In Brunswick Heads I highly recommend this area as it is a little country town with an amazing beach feel and the pub is beautiful.

I've been here in summer and winter, also been here sans children and post family life. Sans children, it works. The food is average at best and not worth the over inflated prices. I've tackled the usual fish & chips to the standard Parma and nothing has ever stood out for the price you pay, $19+ for practically everything. Beer choice is good and reasonably priced but if you're a designated driver you're going to wish you weren't as they fountain drinks are as much as the beer and not even one free refill. The bands are good and outside space is too but is definitely a summer place as winter is a graveyard with no soul, pardon the pun and very much the feel of an RSL. It's a pub, nothing more and nothing set out for kids as there's a play area across the road and why would you bother to make the effort when the council can do that for you? The previously mentioned outside space is the only insight entertainment for the kids which is just waste of space come winter time. The kids menu is thoroughly unremarkable and the standard kid food of pizza isn't even available until after 15:00 and what they do offer is $9+ a go and doesn't even include a kids drink. Overall, best without kids and in the summer time. The food should be given a miss at the cost and don't expect service with a smile at any point all year round. I like the place, I do but as a family man these days it really does not tick any boxes.
