Looked clean, new and nicely decorated. I had the Surf and Turf Pizza. There wasn't a lot of prawns or brisket on the pizza, so could mainly just taste the pizza base sauce. It was a decent size though.

Nice venue. Worth the 10-15 minutes trip from the centre of the vineyards. Good food options. Nice cocktails. Really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Steak was good, but a bit small and pricey for pub food. A good alternative to Harrigans.

We had dinner out at the Huntlee tavern last night on our honeymoon and the team went out of their way to make it so special for us! The food and drinks were amazing and we’re still recovering from the fabulous dessert board they made us. Nice venue, very new, good outdoor area, large casual dining area. Food let this place down. Had the lunch special fish and chips for $15. Really disappointed. I didn't expect a $15 plate of chips with two very small portions of a fried fish fillet. I would give it another go so hopefully the kitchen will redeem themselves. Positive was that the manger on duty greeted us on arrival, explained how to order...daily specials etc...got a bit defensive however when I provided feedback about our meal. Waitress who looked after us was friendly, great people skills and kinda made up for the disappointing meal.

Nice modern pub feel, Staff were nice and there was good service. Chicken schnitzel with beef brisket topper was a big meal and quite good. Southern fried chicken burger was ok but nothing special, felt like it was missing something. They also do a full size pork ribs which is huge.

My family and I have been here a few times now and the venue is great. Has a modern, clean feel and an excellent play area for the children. The staff are very friendly and talkative which is a nice change compared to some of the grinches in hospitality. The food is overpriced but the portion size is generous and the quality of food is much better than your average pub feed. Happy with the new local!

100% recommend! Went for a feed tonight with my partner and son & honestly i’ve never had such a juicy & tender snitzel in my life. My partners steak was cooked perfect (for my liking) and was also very juicy and tender. My boy had the kids pizza and chips & he was satisfied. I will definitely be returning. It was great to have a few vegan and GF options to choose from on your menu.I really enjoyed the Japanese salad.I will be back to try some of the other options.😊The staff were welcoming and service was good. The lady clearing the tables and bringing the meals out was lovely and chatty and even went and called the kids from the playground when their meals were ready..I did think $25 was a bit pricey for a pub salad but it was a large salad.

Its ok for a pub meal, I was unhappy to see that they use processed patties for there beef burgers for there litsted prices. But overall other than an over cooked steak to what I requested they might need better quality meat supplier for the price charged. It was a reasonable quality meal. They do offer a lot of room for functions. So maybe a set menu would be a good option 🤙

I have been several times to the Huntlee but our most recent visit will be our last unfortunately. The Tavern itself is stunning and the kids area is awesome but that is where my praise will end. We like to go out for a relaxing feed but each time there has been issues with our meals, that unfortunately we did not receive acknowledgement for when concerns were raised. Should have been a red flag there. But our most recent visit has seen the menu have some changes, but the meals do not represent the menu description and unfortunately are not value for money. We paid $24 + $12 for extra chicken and it was a bowl of rocket (yes it was a rocket salad) with the smallest pieces of chicken. We paid $36 for the Tuna soba noodle salad and when received it was missing items that were listed on the menu. Not only overpriced but lacked flavour. To say we left hungry was an understatement. Please visit and make your own judgement.

This place is amazing and only 2 minutes off the Hunter expressway. This was our 3rd visit and the most impressive thing was their attention to cleanliness. Each table was sterilised after use and they encouraged mask use and Covid Safe QR code. Highly recommend this venue, not only for the food but the atmosphere.

Wonderful decor. Awsum staff and efficient service. The food was pretty average though. Pork belly entre wasn't crispy or very authentic just chopped up pieces covered in store bought bbq sauce. My friends Snitzel was questionable in some parts were still quite under cooked.

Amazing Dinner last night. We ordered the Ultimate Surf and Turf which was massive and tasted amazing, very fresh and delicious. The Barramundi was also very well cooked and tasty. The menu is well rounded with a great selection. A good choice of cakes and sweet treats in the dessert display. Top notch venue with extremely helpful friendly staff. Typical pub grub, large portion sizes, vast menu. Great indoor kids area in a glass box so you can keep an eye on them. Great family friendly indoor dining with easy online booking system. Covid19 Marshall on site but the filthiest looking door / handle I've ever seen before entering the premises to be greeted with an automatic temperature taker with face scanner.

No bookings required, which is rare in Hunter Valley at the moment. Good atmosphere, live music on Sunday afternoon, kids play area well away from the main dining area and behind closed doors. The food and service has gotten better and this place is now a staple for our dining out in The Hunter.

Semi-up market design and clientele than your average pub/club bistro, although similar menu items just a little more expensive. Drinks prices are higher than expected. Food was great. Good vibe and very busy so bookings are highly recommended. The whole system of checking in for your reservation, then lining up to get drinks, then lining up again to order food felt a little"clunky"... flow-through design of that could be better I think. It was hard to tell who was staff as no seemingly uniform so it was hard to tell staff from the crowd. Would go again and obviously doing a roaring trade since it opened.

Fantastic family friendly venue. It was our first time to visit, I came here on mothers day with the family and we all had a great time. Service was fantastic from start to finish, the food came our quick and hot, the playground was great for the kids, the clown was funny and friendly and the kids loved the balloons animals. Over all it was a fantastic venue and we will defiantly be back.

Very impressed. Went to dinner for a18th Birthday. This has to have been the quickest delivery of food to table I have ever received in over 50 years and it was super busy. The food was great and plenty on plate. The staff were happy and very helpful and the atmosphere was super awesome. Clean and very impressive right down to the bathroom facilities. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. If there were 6 stars not 5 I would add another.

Myself and friends (group of 14) came here on Saturday night, it was very busy for dinner quite full. We got our meals fairly quickly and they were all great, we left talking about how nice the food was, especially with such a big table. Not one complaint. The atmosphere was nice, it’s a new place and had live music as well. There was staff available who were positive and helpful. We will be coming back!

Nice spot very nice looking tavern with good views and pleasant staff, food was decent not bad not great, asked for med rare received rare steak, ribs were very meaty and nice sauce however the meat itself was quite bland as it seems to have not been marinated or basted well, to improve the cheeseburger I would say cook the patty slightly less and place the cheese slices inbetween the patties to allow them to melt properly and add more sauce. All in all a nice place for lunch with a good vibe, thank you.

We had a family lunch at Huntlee Tavern because it is central for all of us. Close to the vineyards too. What a pleasant surprise. Tucker was excellent and beers were good. Must mention that staff are well drilled and have most covered. Duty manager (Brad) took time to talk, and ask people if things were good. Only my experience but give it a look if you get a chance.

Disappointed to be rating a 3. Had high expectations and excitement to try out this new Venue. My lunch was a Veal Schnitzel with Garlic Surf & Turf topper. There was no hint of any garlic or flavour of any kind to the sauce or prawns. Very bland. Salad was fair, and chips were a let down. 2 others dining with me had the Chicken Snitty with the same topper and we all had the same view. Please consider changing your Garlic Sauce recipe and style of chips. The service was good but some staff either seemed not sure of their role or had average Customer Service skills when talking to you. We weren't asked how our meal was so we mentioned the sauce and the young waitress either didn't seem concerned or know what to say. The Tavern is a great space and you can feel the warmth and vibe when you walk in. It was relaxing on the lounges with a drink after our meal. Hopefully the meals improve as they are not on the cheaper side.

Lovely fitout, great use of space, but can't help feeling like I'm sitting in Coles carpark. Food was ok, massive portions - my friend's snitty was ridiculous! I had the Atlantic salmon and it was very oily and salty, edible but not nice. Staff very very friendly.

I absolutely love this venue!!!! I had my hens on the weekend & our venue we organised after our wine tour on Saturday night fell through. Jess shuffled everything around & worked her magic to accommodate our party of 15 even though heavy booked. I’m so grateful. We had the most amazing night & all the girls mentioned how great the food & cocktails were. My sister said the Chicken Wings were the best she had ever had! New, modern environment, plenty of inside and outside seating, quick service at both bar and ordering at bistro (once they opened second register). Extensive local wine selection which is good to see. Entree, cheesey garlic bread, would have been lovely had the cheese not already begun to congeal. Received complimentary vouchers for two drinks but sadly won't be back to use them. Seafood Trio was served nice and hot, looked great on the plate and had 'beautiful flavour'.😁👍 The two steaks ordered had their prep mixed up, the medium well t bone was med rare and the med rare sirloin was med well. Flavours were still there but can't understand how cooking was mixed up when order was read back three times, correctly, at the time of ordering which only leaves a mix up in the kitchen. . .🤔 Would go there again, if invited for a special day, bday etc, but not somewhere we would take the extra fifteen minutes for, especially when having to drive past three or four other good places to get there.

Went to the Huntlee Tavern for the first time on Sunday 29/11 with a group of about 15 people. Our table was originally booked for outside but being 42 degrees plus outside the amazing staff managed to find us a table inside out of the heat. Brad was so attentive and bent over backwards to help us out. It was really busy in the dining room but we didn’t have to wait very long for our food, which was delicious. Will definitely be returning with my family and friends on a regular basis.

Food was pretty good, but a little pricey. There is no cooling in the bistro, so on a warm night it can be a little uncomfortable, especially considering the amount of people they can get in there. The live music needs to start a little later so people can finish their meals and conversations before being drowned out by the music.

Great modern tavern in the new suburb of Huntlee (North Rothbury) 200+ people and we had our meal in 20mins despite the long lines. Staff are extremely efficient, aware and helpful. Had the lunch special beef burger with mushrooms and cheese ,$20 plus $6 Iron Jack beer, delicious not too big and not too small. My wife had the chicken snitzel with a West Coast Cooler, she reckons any establishment that stocks the cooler has got to be great. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We went to the Huntlee tavern over the weekend, this venue in the hunter valley area of branxton is simply amazing & can not fault the venue. We experienced it first hand, being family friendly, and great customer service both from bar & restaurant, whilst saying that we stayed for lunch & experienced the schnitzels and the chicken tasted great and the toppers are to die for highly recommend. Well done to the staff and quality service they provided our family we definitely will be back again.

The food is excellent, however there is an issue with their delivery system, on two occasions now we haven't been able to order or follow up an order for to the answering service that they use, they really need to address this as it is frustrating when you can't get through to speak to someone.

Great local, no one is perfect as for the other one star reviews here but we need to keep in mind that ALL NEW ESTABLISHMENTS GO THROUGH A TEETHING PROCESS!!! This could be new staff, chefs, managers & barstaff. The 3 times me and my partner have been there have been great, yes there has been a delay on food BUT this is due to new POS systems, new staff and or chefs trying to cater for a broad menu. I love the Huntlee Tavern and will be going back many more times to come!

Got there 2ish and still very full. Covid sign in and a temp camera. Simple bistro food choices pasta, pizza,burger, etc and a kids menu. As usual husband's eyes are bigger than his stomach. 4 large slices Garlic bread (could of been cooked a little more) S&P squid with a dipping sauce and pear rocket salad. Calamari so tender just delicious. He had the biggest burger I've seen for a while, had the works on it with crunchiest fluffy inside fries. I had 3 long fish pieces that came with the same fries and a non dressed salad. That was delicious too. With 2 beers cost $80. The mains were just over the $20 mark. They had live music with was very good. If up that way again wouldn't hesitate to go back. Extremely good.

Another evening out at Huntlee tavern. Slightly disappointed about the long wait times, however the deliciousness of the meal made up for it. Ordered the special garlic prawn pizza on sourdough base. Absolutely delicious! Base was light and fluffy with the right amount of crispness. My friends I was dining with also enjoyed their steak, Mexican topped chicken schnitty and wagu cheeseburger. The meal was topped off by a wonderful dessert of caramel tart and rocky road mousse. Hats off to Ben and the crew for pulling off a rough night of service! We will be back again soon for more cocktails and delicious meals!

Tried this new establishment for lunch and I have to agree with the other reviews.. The Food was only-just-acceptable pub food. I had a steak sandwich on soggy Turkish bread with a large amount of gristle -presumably that's free. Chips are good tho. Partner had the 50 lashes fish and chips...not sure if it is a pretentious reference to the beer batter or the fact that the fish was battered to death prior to service...overcooked and suspiciously "fishy" (pun intended) The salad was a joke...I love salad and eat it in most forms, but it was quite a while since this salad saw the light of day. Maybe it went through the same death-dealing hands as the fish...sad, overipe tomatoes, very sad, slimy cucumber, very very sad mixed salad leaves all drowning in a ubiquitous commercial dressing. I've eaten better salad at roadhouses on the Nullabor. On a brighter note...the decor is lovely, view exquisite, service friendly if not over keen on customer interaction. And the toilets are worth a visit. Hopefully they will sort out their food issues as its a busy place...we just wouldn't bother going back.

The food looked good in parts and I can only comment on what I ate,The parmy I had was dry and the drinks are expensive, Three normal beers and one was a light beer cost $22 plus drink service is slow and I had to wait 15 minutes to get served. May suit some who are happy to pay high prices and the live music is way to loud although it was a saturday night so having a conversation was out of the question. Would I go back maybe but not on a saturday night.

I can say that I've been & tried it. The prices are very expensive, this is the Hunter Valley, not Sydney. The meals were a good size, but they are over priced. Today I had a small baby shower at Huntlee and I cannot rate the service high enough. Coffee and cake stuff available if you want that too. Just watch out in the car park it is SO narrow. Best if you reverse yourself in. Good lunch stop if your on your bike too. Food ok, not great. Creamy garlic sauce was gluggy and not very garlic flavoured. Chips are good. Drinks are fair prices although don't buy a shandy at $7.50 vs a beer at $4.50. Covid temp and code machine slow to use and came up with random other people's profiles for everyone in our group. Caused a line up going in which was hardly social distance friendly. Definitely teething with being new with the service. Wait staff friendly but we weren't given menus when seated or given any direction about how to order or specials, and we were given a highchair with no tray. Interior of the tavern is lovely. Play area looks really good. I think with time it will get better.

Came up from down the coast for a work trip a few weekends ago and saw the thirsty merc. Excellent band, nice looking venue.. the lady working the door checking tickets was so rude and blunt though, Bloke who was the manager was cool, I’m sure most workers there are polite.
