24 hour toilets thoughtfully built and maintained by the Johns River community volunteers. Take some spare change with you when you go - there’s a donation box you can contribute to the upkeep. Toilets are suitable for ambulant, LH & RH, changing babies, wheelchair access, use rainwater, have a handy shelf to place your phone/keys, are under security surveillance and have large bins for disposing of most categories of waste (no caravan/RV dumping). There is an tourist info board (words are faded) and a playground next to the toilet block. Thank you Johns River community for your service and forethought - it is appreciated!! 💙

This lovely rest stop has an ample of parking, toilets are clean and has good garden and benches with shade to have quick food during your trip. Interesting fact is they are managed by community and solely rely on rain water so do NOT miss to donate in donate box.

Awesome spot for travellers with kids and dogs. Great playground with picnic tables. Open space for dogs to run around. Disabled and abled toilets. Bins for rubbish. Doesn’t get any better. Just watch the mozzies.

If you google this on the highway and you’re close, you’ll find this rest stop slightly off the highway. Clean toilets, parking directly out the front, chairs and tables to have your break whilst your children can play on the relatively new playground. “Corner store” 100m up the road.

Nice detour off the boring new Pacific Hwy. Apparently the new highway was built to combat fatigue. I think the new highway increases fatigue.

Locals look after and clean, surprising considering peak holiday/travel time. Had hand soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer available. Picnic tables and grass areas to sit. Could of used more shaded area but for a rest stop this is the best I've seen.

Handy to stop close to toilets over night. Not 2 far off the freeway. Next to the community hall which has extra shelter is you need to get out of the sun or the rain

Good rest stop, short distance off the highway. Toilets, shelter and parking. There is also parallel parking for trucks further down as the road joins the highway again, nice and quiet away from the traffic.

A lovely quiet spot off the highway. Amenities were clean. Lovely little play area next to rest stop. Easy access off and returning to Southbound hwy.

The volunteers who maintain the facilities at this rest stop should be commended for their work. Yes, you read correctly, this facility is maintained by community volunteers - not the local authorities! This is one of the few rest stops I have used where there is an ample supply of soap and paper hand towels near the sinks. Being able to properly wash your hands and face can make long distance travel more enjoyable, in my own opinion. There are picnic shelters here suitable for use in most weather conditions. A children's playground is adjacent to the picnic area. For those travelling with pets, there is a large open playing field where you can walk and play with your animals. Even Fido the Dog wants to stretch his doggy legs during a long road trip! Parking spaces for those holding Disabled Parking Permits are located right in front of toilet facilities suitable for persons with disabilities.

Good spot for a pit stop, if travelling south on M1. Maintained by council always clean and seems to be popular place to stop. See my post about Rosies next door.

I don't understand why they lock the majority of cubicles leaving only 2 x male/female? They do this even during school hols. Soap dispensers are gone and both toilets don't lock securely. They need to fix the locks quick smart.

Often stop there for lunch & loo break on our way put or down Pacific Hwy. Quite & picturesque. No traffic noise. The local pub has a free camp for an overnight stay overnight.

Every second Saturday of the month they hold market stalls. There is plenty of variety and they have fresh food cooked on site. It's worth the drive and a coffee and cake/ SAUSAGE ROLLS
