I had a really pleasant 2 hours here today. The staff are not just nice, they are friendly and super polite. The young man with the Mambo t-Shirt was super impressive. He’s what society needs these days.

Kings Cross hotel is one of the icons of Sydney. The rooftop is stunning and a go to place for me after work for a beer. Or event during work hours for a meeting! It has a great fresh air & vibe and a stunning selection of local brews. Food is also great and although you need to pick it up a nice meal from the floors underneath as the rooftop only serves bar snacks it is definitely worth the trip for a drink and snack / meal!

5* for a place you don't really like? 5* for a non merivale pub? This is a solotel pub...who? Bruce Solomon is the quiet achiever of our pub scene...the sheaf and the Opera Bar are 2 of this countries biggest, and just 2 of his yuuuge stable. They have things in common. Efficiency on steroids, decent eats and something community orientated. Here, it's the kings cross theatre. It's a wonderful, small theatre company, showcasing our best new talent. Go there! Also contributing to the 5* review was this unexpectedly excellent spinach Dahl, rich with curry leaves and great complexity. The paratha bread was flaky and in good shape. The ability to add stuff, in this case a perfectly boiled egg, has started me thinking this annoying order via app from your table thing has legs. Thanks Bruce. I still really don't like this place, and you should serve food for as long as you serve booze, but the plusses really work.

Like many bars I've been to since living in Sydney, this place is not necessarily good to look at from the outside but once you get inside you can see where the money is spent. Downstairs has a decent sized bar and seating area with big screens for the sports. Whereas upstairs is a pretty smart bar setup with a good terrace, including some more secluded small balconies. Decent choice of beers, good looking menu.

So, We arrived at kings cross hotel without a reservation. We were greeting with the nicest security guard. They said they would find us a table which they did. We were greeting with a lovely waitress of the name Of Nicole. She was super accommodating especially in recommendation of drinks. Attribute to your team as great staff are hard to come by. Our friends said the burgers were good but the chicken schnitzels were very over cooked and tasted liked old oil and fish. The drinks where good. You should stock Gordon's Pink Gin, it's much better than the ones you have listed

The lady at the bar when we walked in made us scan in for COVID-19. She then made us show her the screen to make sure we checked in. The upstairs bar had things on the table we could scan to order food on our phones and it all came pretty quick. I wasn’t a fan of the eggplant veg dish, won’t return unless it is just for drinking or until they add more vegan options. Have reduced to four stars until they add more vegan options... or just have dishes with the option of making them vegan. :)

Been to the kingscross hotel many times. Very close the kingscross station. It’s a great place to hangout with your mates. Great drinks and good pub food. I usually like to sit at the rooftop/balcony area. They also have a theatre where they have some great live plays. Love it. Highly recommend it to check out the theatre and watch live plays.

Dear KXH, To management, bartenders, security, kitchen, every single one of you. Having been in the area for a few years, I tend to call this venue home, for many reasons. The A-class service, the lovely smiles and greetings upon arrival, the wonderful choice of music (at times), although I do miss the jukebox. Call me your number one fan. We are living in a peculiar era and KXH has done an exquisite job to battle this war, firstly being at the top of the game with health and safety for all staff and customers, introducing contactless service straight to your designated table by simply scanning a code, so innovative and simple. Sports, the joy it brings me to see the project unfold on a major event, whether its Friday night footy or Sunday afternoon UFC, always eventful, never been let down, quality all round sound system and display. One thing I do miss are the pool tables, if I had one wish it'd be to bring pool back to life at the Kings Cross Hotel, even a cheeky pool comp would be nice to see. Many things do make me happy on a day to day basis, the quality of the food is sensational. I miss the old steak sandwich with some high grade baked potatoes, although the menu is evolving and it only gets better, Tuesday parmi specials are sometimes too hard to choose from all too good sometimes I want them all. How could I forget the iconic Rooftop. As of recent there has been some major changes and I can sure say that I am not in the slightest disappointed, Tiki vibe, A1 themed cocktails, lovely new furniture, doesn't get much better. Every person I have brought to the KXH has been impressed, I am looking forward for whats to come, in fact I cant wait. Thank you for your constant respect and top class service. To each and every one of you of the KXH family, you have outdone yourselves.

Love this place. Generally a good standard of pub food and a quality craft beer selection. They usually have good tunes playing early evening during the week on the 1st level balcony bar. Major sporting events are covered and pool tables feature on some of the floors. The top level balcony bar is a good place to chill on a Sunday.

If you're eating food here try the steak sandwhich. Multiple floors of fun, each with their own character. It is harder to find a table the further up you get. The service is always friendly. Prices are slightly above average but they often have specials on beer.

I’ve been there a few times with my colleagues and what never disappoints is the food. I’ve tried their steak, southern style chicken burger and chicken parm. This place has so many stairs... but after each stairwell climb you're greeted with a different genre of music, and each floor is well designed to give it a unique look and feel. Drinks are pricy, and not strong, but I guess that's what you get in Sydney. Rooftop bar was fun, but outside patio gets overcrowded end of the night. If you go with a big group, good luck not loosing your friends w/ 5 levels of music.

Kings Cross Hotel has always been a Sydney icon from my first visit here with the USN in the 90's. I must tell you that its changed a bit over the years. The iconic establishment has an awesome full bar with quality bartenders and celeb memorabilia wall to wall; it's not to the level of the Hardrock but who is? This place has done a lot make itself into a close runner up with a nice single table pool room complete booths and tables in order to watch or play as well as a VIP area. In the VIP area you can pull a few slots and have a smoke past the outer doors. When using the restroom dont be alarmed by the guy next to you checking out your wares be they your shoes or well you know... A must visit and check in the box during your Kings Cross - Potts Point travels.

A bar with 5 floors, each with a different vibe so you can choose what mood you're after. Mixingpot in terms of clientele...but by in large its a happy friendly bunch. Good views from the rooftop. It's a lockout from 11pm (i think)...so make sure you get their earlier or you wont be allowed in. Drinks are average to pricey.

Cool place to hang out on a Friday night bound to meet plenty of interesting characters in the Cross, and the kings cross hotel has plenty of levels where you can mingle with locals and backpackers.
