I would highly recommend visiting Primary! The best coffee joint in Sydney (imo!). Really love the coffee here - had the privilege of living on Ward avenue, just above the coffee shop when I was a local in PP! It’s still my favourite coffee joint in Sydney after all these years!

A wonderful cup of coffee with a cool hip vibe. Specialises in coffee only with a few pastries/doughnut to compliment the coffee. It’s a lighter style of coffee instead of a robust “in your face” type.

They use quite a high brew ratio so their espresso is too bitter etc for my taste. And at $4 it's more expensive than average. To be fair I have tried their cappuchino & found it better - in fact the milk texture was good though the overextraction was still apparent.

Cute, small cafe and highly recommend the coffee. I ordered latte temperature was perfect and Creamery. To be honest crossaint was soggy and it made me bit disappointed but donuts are good.

Fantastic coffee, a few seats outdoors, and croissants, but no way to heat it up. Would be 5 if they could support the eating scenario, but I’d definitely pop back for another flat white if I’m in the King’s Cross/Pott’s Point area and feeling like a shot of dried bean juice. If you order your drink for there, the ceramics are quite nice.

They have some wooden benches outside on the sidewalk for customers who want to sit back and enjoy their delicious coffee in a takeaway cup. Not too sure if they still have dining in option available due to covid. Their coffee tastes a bit fruity (not sure if I use the right word to describe?) which I quite like. The milk frothing was a tad hot which I found a little bit uncomfortable at the first few sips. However their coffee will return to the perfect temperature after a few minutes or so. Both iced latte and flat white were strong and tasty thus explain the moderate amount of customers coming to the store at the time of my visit. Will come back to buy their beans for my home espresso. Quick service despite lots of orders is their bonus!

I had been meaning to try Primary Coffee for months after moving to the area. They always had big crowds so I assumed it must be good. I finally got around to buying a long black and it probably ranks in the top 5 coffees I’ve ever had! I look forward to coming again and again!

Everyone who works here is lovely and gentle—no loud personalities or competing egos. The mere act of ordering the coffee and waiting for it feels relaxing. Bonus: the location is great for people-watching and many of these people own fascinating dogs.

They were quick with their delivery, friendly in their welcome and cool with whatever orders they received. Amazingly priced for the area and the best coffee shop I've visited in a long time.
