Great suprisingly large pub just up from the water, with absolutely brilliant food and a wide selection of rooms and open areas to dine. LOCATION: Minutes from the light rail or bus stops and just around the corner from Start City Casino. Street parking available. ACCESSIBILITY: Pram, wheelchair and dog friendly. FOOD: Really high quality decent serving sizes at very reasonable prices. Everything they served up looked/tastes great, even their humble pie! STAFF: Definitely not the most attentive or passionate about their jobs. Not terrible, pleasant enough. OVERALL: Will definitely be back to eat more, can't wait till the renovations upstairs are finished. Great little spaces upstairs, would easily suit events etc.

Came for Christmas party gathering with work mates. Great live band entertainment. Had crispy pork belly that's really crispy on the outside. It has lots of salt so can get a bit salty towards finishing my meal. Kale on the side is cooked nicely, overall great drinks offering with wonderful atmosphere to hang out with mates.

Lunch special: Chimichurri chicken Ceaser salad. Best salad I have ever had at a pub. Crispy bacon, perfect egg, anchovies, parmesan and a great Ceaser sauce. Only flaw was chicken could have been chopped up before serving.

INNOVATIVE BISTRO MENU. Popular pub, more so with locals than visitors. Not exactly trendy in the public bar, yet the function rooms upstairs for private parties draw a young crowd. The choice of dishes on the bistro menu prove interesting (I had pork chop with octopus). More than ample outdoor seating.

Most memorable was the friendly wait staff who was happy, kind and polite when collecting our plates at the end. It's crazy how big of a difference good service makes, but the guy at Pyrmont Point Hotel was great at it. Exactly the sort of place I like to come back to. The steak was nice too, but I personally prefer creamy mushroom sauce, so might see if they do other sauces next time. Nice place for lunch with friends or colleagues!

Been there few times with families gathering and birthdays. Had a private room to use was fabulous, fantastic with couches to relax beforehand and afterwards, has a TV. The tables were joined together and just fit for up 20 people to have dinner with! Recommend this to anyone.

Some crafty beer selection here with rotation (often local brewery Wayward's) Food usually very good with varying specials every day. Really great for kids out on the patio which backs onto public (Community Centre) areas. Upstairs lounge nice and cool in summer and cost in winter. Loyalty card is worthwhile.

Good bar. Good tap beers. $10 special cocktail. Food is ok. Not the best, but also, not the worst. Worth checking out if you're in the area. There's a lot of competition around, and the city is a short walk away, so I'd say there are better options. But if you're looking for a change from the regular. Give the Pyrmont Point Hotel a try!

This place is great for a casual catch up with friends. It has a cool vibe without being pretentious and lots of areas to sit in depending on your group size and if you're there for just drinks or food. There is a great courtyard area although I've never been able to enjoy it as it's always packed with smokers. The food is good, although I wouldn't say it's amazing but it's inline with a pub and what you pay for it. Pro Tip: If there isn't any private functions on upstairs is a great quiet place to chill out with a cheese platter and bottle of wine.

Great venue to host a staff Christmas party - good function space and delicious food. Highly recommend. Worth noting however is there lack of facilities for people with disabilities - toilets are on the top floor as well as the function areas; the staircases don't have rails on both sides of the stairs, some rails stop halfway up; there is no lift.

Good crowd, decent atmosphere and above average pub grub, this is a great post work or workout venue, popular with city rowers and dragon boaters!! The pastas and salads are good lighter options, and there is always a good selection of the usual pub grub!! I usually go with a larger group and the kitchen is pretty good at getting all meals on the table within a reasonable timeframe!! With smaller rooms all throughout you will find a nice corner to catch up or a large room for a bigger party!! This time I tried the Warm Beef salad. ..the meat was pretty tender, but the leaf and tomato mix, just missing zing, others who had the risotto said the same, average just not special...which pretty much sums it up! Good food, friendly staff, excellent location (light rail a hop skip and a jump away) worth a look!!

Sorry your food is sadly way over priced for what it was. Burger was so dry it could have been a tire. This was three months ago so hopefully improved. It’s best to stick to basics and do it well instead of Gimic rubbish. People vote with their feet.

A huge thank you to Nathan, Scotty and all the Pyrmont Point Hotel team for my recent 40th Birthday booked in the Karma room and cocktail bar area. It was a great night, perfect setup in the BEST room we could have hoped for inside with cocktail bar walk up access and adjoining balcony for friends who enjoy a smoke. Everyone loved the Canape menu food I ordered. Highly recommend the Chicken skewers, mushroom arancini and many friends said they have never had better salt and pepper squid! The Point team were so accomodating, from booking request to the night of the party. I always know I will have a good time at the Point, I'm stoked that all my family (some who flew to be there), and all my friends had a great time too and got to experience their first grog at the Point. Big thanks. Cheers, see you again real soon!

EXCELLENT'The staff make this venue. Even the chefs are friendly and welcoming. Always clean and well presented. Sundays are great as my family get free childrens meals and they put on a free face painter. even the staff get involved with the children by blowing up balloons and offering colouring books. after the third time of going the waitress recognised us and offered their membership card. basically 10% of each individual purchase gets loaded onto the card for us to spend! We recently had a quiet night with a group of friends. it was a Wednesday and we were able to have the comfortable front room with settees and awesome decor. it was so homely and at one point the waitress from the bistro asked that, if we would like to order food that she would pop up and take the order as she wasnt to busy. we thought that was lovely. i do not usually take the time to complete reviews but i really feel this venue deserves one. (published 05/04/2013) all in all no negatives hightly reccomend to all types of customer.

The food was fantastic we only had a couple of burgers and some beers. But the staff were great and the food service was so quick. This can be a bit of a worry, but one bite and you were no longer worried. Just in awe of how tasty the food was would recommend popping in for a bite if you are in the area.
