Love they have DJs. Covid plan is excellent only double vaccinated people allowed in they check on entry. Massive thumbs up Very! Very large & well spaced. Sanitisers everywhere. Again thank you. More venues should follow suit. Staff actually wear masks properly!

Large venue with about 10? well maintained pool tables. No food on at all on the Thursday night we went (Nov 2021) so had a good few games of pool, a couple of beers and went elsewhere to eat.

Kandys in this place is way better. Great space to dance and to move around. Drinks are okay, normal I guess. Location is a good one since is in the city and close to a couple of train stations. The queue in line was a bit long but didn’t took that much until we got in, over all it’s a good place to listen to r&b and some latin music 💯

Old school bar in the city with cheap drinks🍸 and tons of pool tables. Unfortunately the atmosphere of the Shark 🦈 Hotel has become very dull (you could go here and dance 💃🏼 a couple of years ago but it's not really the same place any more). But still grab a few drinks here and go somewhere more exciting.. note you can get a decent Thai meal 🥘here as they have a restaurant called Holy Basil on the premises

Reserved a space for my birthday over the weekend for a group of around 25 people. Staff were pleasant to deal with and the booking process was so easy and straight forward. Really glad I got to have my predrinks here since me and my friends use to come here quite often as fresh legal teenagers over a decade ago!

Good food and drink prices, good atmosphere (no gross chemical smell on the whole floor like some Sydney pubs), music wasn’t too loud so we could still have conversation. No complaints and staff treated us just fine. Would recommend for groups of all sizes. Big thanks to Jess Taylor from Events, who assisted us with a last minute booking - and with zero fuss, which is so unlike many Sydney pubs and restaurants!!!

Been here a few times. Can't go wrong with $5 drinks, really. Smoking balconies are too cute! 4 stars because service can be quite slow sometimes, and I think they need more than one person who knows how to make the cocktails in order to speed up service. Also because the atmosphere is a bit lacking. Feels like I'm in an oversized pool hall. I dunno, maybe that is what it is supposed to be like.

Great spot that actually care about their customers. The food is great value and they offer $5 drinks (beer, wine and spirits). They have a lot of pool tables and the staff are really friendly. Smiles all round. Definitely 5 stars for helping in tough times. Please go to Shark Bar and keep them busy so we can all continue to go and enjoy the venue. This might seem like I work for them but I dont lol. They deserve this review.

Great place to drink and chill. The drinks are cheap and best of all, when the guard say the place it full and only let one in one out rule. By the time I got in, there was plenty of space and seat and not having to squeeze through to the bar.

One of my favorite places to go. The staff are very friendly and the drinks reasonably priced. Happy hour till late is always a reason to keep coming back. The food is always good and doesnt take long at all. Reserving space has been easy with management. Only downside is that theres about 5 cues that arent broken for the 12 something pool tables.

I love this place, I really love the vibe especially on a Friday night. There are plenty of pool tables so you can usually find one to play and the bar is huge so it's not too bad of a wait. Also the drinks are pretty decent prices $6.50 for highball or beer. There's a small raised dance floor and a decent DJ which is fun. The crowd there are usually young fun people who just want to have a good time after work. And the best part, there's an amazing Asian restaurant right there so you can order food and take it to your lounge area or pool table to snack on.

Love this place! I come here more than any other bar around, for the drinks and for the pool. Pool is $2 here, which is awesome! And Thooies or XXXX are $4 during happy hour which is nearly every day in the late afternoon/early evening. Sometimes there aren't enough cues around and we did have a problem with the tables once but the guys at the bar are always super nice and are willing to refund your pool game with ease.

Very cheap tap beers here ($3.50 at this time of writing) - particularly if you go any day during the week (besides Friday / Saturday) where happy hour is anytime after 4pm! The pool tables is also discounted ($1 per game!) from 5pm to midnight, but you're going to be very patient to getting a table (or you can go there late in the night on a "school night"). Although if you're into dancing, Friday and Saturday nights are good for this (and there is no cover charge for the main dance floor too). Unfortunately no discount drinks on late Friday or all Saturday nights.

Great place for Thai food and prices including the amount is quite decent having been here a few times. Only issue was it took a long time to purchase drinks to have with our meal as there seemed to be not enough staff on for the dinner service here and have experienced this on pervious visits. If you ever wanted to go to a bar that looks like something out of Duke Nukem 3D, then this is the place for you. The only thing missing is is stripper poles and strippers but heck, that may happen on a different night. Otherwise has drinks and pool tables, I think a restaurant but unsure as was too dark in that section. The shark tank seems to be gone, maybe good for the sharks..

I come here frequently to enjoy the $1 pool, from 5pm most nights. There is talk that this is going to go up to $2 per night, but compared to good old Jacksons on George, its still a cheapo pool winner! There are 14 pool tables, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting on a table, but it does get busy from 7ish onwards. Food is nice at the thai restaurant, almost too moorish so go with an empty stomach. The panang curry is my fav and my friend swears by the ox tongue. Haven't tried the fried basil ice cream... Surprisingly the wine selection is pretty good for your average bar as they have a Vasse Felix merlot and a nice chardy. This complimented with 50 lashes on tap, and you have a surprisingly ok drink selection. Would def recommend for a chilled pool night, but it is a bit lacking in atmosphere for client lunches or dinner and the party crowd.

If you just want to pass the time while playing $1 pool, Shark Hotel is the place to be. Though the pool tables are old, often missing balls and que, it's enough to have fun and challenge your friends and mates. They also have big area to dine-in and sports tv shows. You catch your favorite sports while sitting in their comfy lounge. The food is not too bad and they have small area that serves Asian food.
