After a massive building renovation the result is this amazing bar. SKY BAR on level 9 is one of the best places in town to go for a drink. Very important to book beforehand otherwise you won't be able to get a table. I order the Dusk till Dawn cocktail and I loved it. It was my best option for me since I don't like Tequila and Whisky. The staff is very friendly and chilled, specially Matt. 😀 I'll be back.

Absolutely unique hospitality scene in Sydney, if you’re in town, it is worth visiting. Dined at the Dining Room last night, that was some hospitality we talk about, the whole system from the beginning to the end, lobby to top floor, you could feel the love from the team. Initially thought it would be amazing to bring a date here when I sat down, but actually would highly recommend to eat with your mates visiting the dining room, definitely more fun like what I had! Thank you very much, can’t wait to check Menzies Bar out next.

This review is regarding Menziess Bar which is the first venue to open at Shell House Food was absolutely fantastic and surpassed my expectations especially when I thought they only have some average bar food. But how wrong was I! We went for the staffs recommendation - spiced fried king fish collar with green sauce and the fish was so well cooked and flavorful. Fritto misto, Spanner crab Benedict, chicken liver eclair, swordfish crudo were all awesome entrées. Bistecchina steak was very well cooked 🥩 Vongole & fermented chili linguini with clams was tasty and packs a punch.🍝 In conclusion I can’t really fault the food I would say the vibe is somewhere between smart casual and classy, one of the new top notch choices in CBD for your afterwork gathering. Can’t wait to try their dining room when it opens upstairs!

I don't normally write reviews, but i really enjoyed Menzies Bar, so i thought it worth sharing the experience. This was my first night out after lockdown, which definitely helped but Menzies was good in its own right - especially so soon after opening. The bar was lively and buzzing when we arrived and we were seated in a comfortable booth with a nice view of the rest of the bar. It felt full but not crowded and we were able to hear the conversation over dinner easily without too much background noise from other patrons. The menu was small and focussed but i liked the look of most of the share plates and the mains. I had the Bistecchina, which was perfectly cooked with a beautiful char-finish. We shared a few starters as well, of which the chicken liver eclair was a surprising standout. I like pate anyway, however the eclair had a light sweetness behind the richness of the pate. It was presented as a smooth chocolate-coloured mouse in a mini-bun, so it lived up to its name. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. Will definitely go again. I'm looking forward to trying out the 'martini hour' with my workmates sometime.

Menzies Bar is truly a gem that the city was missing. Well done decor, great menu with a range of really fresh & delicious dishes, extensive wine list & great cocktails. The staff are all very lovely & they offer both a casual dining option & table service. Can't wait until the other levels open up, I won't need to go anywhere else!

Cocktails are amazing, food is incredible, I honestly would recommend this to any Sydney-sider local and visiting. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re on top of the world and service makes you feel at home and relaxed. Loved Shell House and will definitely be back for more!!

After having a wonderful experience in Menzies bar and a great chat to the bartender Josh it was a must to visit the other venues in the building. We had a few drinks and a bite to eat up at the Skybar yesterday and was a fantastic experience, our waiter Oscar was extremely friendly and was a joy to talk to, overall making the food, drinks and time very enjoyable, will be coming back next week.

Went to Menzies for a birthday celebration last night. We were really well taken care of by the staff and the vibes were great for a Tuesday night! Had the Ocean Trout and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had, highly recommend to anyone coming for dinner. Also a really good, extensive wine list to match! I went to Menzies bar last night for dinner and had a delicious spread of plates to share. I'd never tried anything like the Spanner Crab Benedict and would definitely recommend! The staff were so lovely, they suggested a fab wine to have with our dinner. I will definitely be going back to try more of the menu. The vibe was great, would also be perfect venue for after work drinks!

Skybar is an absolutely fantastic venue with unbeatable views at this part of the CBD. Having previously booked into Menzies and the Dining Room the only piece of the puzzle left to be explored was Skybar. An incredible experience as always. Aside from the great atmosphere, the staff are so incredibly knowledgeable. Unfortunately the whiskey range available is not quite as widespread as we would have hoped but our table was served by Oscar who recommended an absolutely fantastic replacement - Dalwhinnie 15, very impressed. Overall great, friendly and prompt service, could not recommend highly enough for before/after dinner drinks.

A refreshing venue in a beautifully restored heritage building. Staff in the Menzies bar were very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I tried a couple of their signature cocktails that were great and the martini hour was a nice surprise. Looking forward to going back and trying their food and other levels, especially the rooftop!

Ate at Menzies last night for an intimate birthday celebration and couldn’t have asked for better service, food or atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious but what makes a good evening is good service and the people in a bar or restaurant making a connection with you - which they absolutely did. We spent the first half of the evening being tended to for drinks by Zorane who was nothing short of one of the best bar tenders we’ve ever had. Full of genuine conversation, humour and care for giving us the best night he could. Then we had the pleasure of having Anthony look after us for the remainder of our night which was an absolute pleasure. We threw all sorts of weird drink requests at them like ‘smokey but kind of sweet’ and they hit the nail on the head every single time. The two of them provided such a comfortable and enjoyable environment for us to spend our evening and we couldn’t have asked for better service.

Can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve been for a date night and recently for my birthday and always have the best experience. The venue is beautiful and food is incredible. But more than anything the staff and service are exceptional! Definitely now one of my favourite places. Highly recommend!!!

We went on a Friday night, so it was a bit busy with the after work drinks. We started with drinks in the Sky Bar, which was quite packed but after 20mins we were managed to be seated. The view is quite nice and very open plan, with clear windows. Dinner was downstairs at Shell House. Staff were absolutely fantastic - so professional. Entrees were absolutely delicious - the Crueller & the oysters were so fresh. The pasta was delicious, and the Rangers steak was mouth watering. Can’t complain about the food! It was just the beginning of the night that was really chaotic & having to wait around for 20mins for a seat was annoying but we got there in the end & got a few cocktails to celebrate. Will recommend to friends!
