A. C.Interesting small/underground bar with an interesting vibe. Star wars/sci fi themed (with hints of goat thrown in for good measure), with some retro arcade machines.
Good selection of beers, which are reasonably priced considering the craft/boutique element. Friendly servers, and comfortable seating. The entrance to the bathrooms is hilarious and definitely worth checking out!
J. E.Absolutely loved it. So glad I did not skip this pub on my Sydney trip. Spooning Goats is a Star Wars themed craft beer tap room and I can’t recommend it enough. The beer selection is also top notch with largely off beat and one off beers and breweries. Great music selection also. Loved every minute and would highly recommend a visit. I’ll be back.

K.The only and BEST Star Wars themed bar I know. Date night would be perfect here with the misso, just gotta get one first. Beers on tap are incredible and the variety is tasty. Staff are incredibly polite and easy going, you gotta go.

C. G.A great little bar with fantastic decoration, predominantly star wars themed through, comfy couches and a couple of classic arcade games like Pac man and street fighter. Onky downside is that the awesome cocktails take a while to make (understandably) so you can wait a while for your drink order sometimes, not may options on tap, but they change regularly which is nice.

M. B.Star Wars and Spoon themed bar. Super friendly beer staff that sometimes read / perform Star Wars Shakespeare. Different beers each time I visit. There's always something new that's added to the decor (painting, x-wing made out of paper rolls, storm trooper Xmas lights, comic strip lined walls). Only negatives are food is basically snack food variety (try the nuts and bolts, and see if you can stop at only one bowl) and venue is quite cosy and popular so getting a seat for large groups can be a challenge. Unique venue with friendly staff and beer.. What more do you need?
M. S.This bar is so cool with an eclectic collection of 80's memorabilia much of which is Star Wars focused. The beers change regularly and are always of excellent quality. My personal favorite in Sydney
M. K.Not your conventional bar. A 80s themed decor with a nerdy flair. I'm guessing the owner is really into star wars, because, you'll find alot of Star Wars merchandise and memorabilia on walls and benches. Didn't think the place would be so full. It was close to a full house when I was here with 2 of my friends. Everyone looks like they are here to just enjoy and have a good time. People in suits, people in casual gear. The drinks are really cool and get a tray of assorted nuts and you can easily spend 1 - 2 hours here. If you want to just have fun without being worried you'll be hit on by sleezy guys or have the competitive pressure to have to look sexy and hot, then pop in and just enjoy the happy hour.

A seriously funky, eclectic decor really makes for an interesting and comfortable environment. The vibe is complemented by super comfy and varied retro furniture set off by a extensive selection of classic glassware differing for every drink.

S. N.This bar is cute. The cocktails are ok but quite expensive. The apple sour one is quite nice. The staff are great. It does not have a lot of seating. It has a couple of old school arcade games. Probably only worthwhile for a couple of drinks before kicking on.

K.Cool little underground craft beer bar tucked away on York Street with old style arcade machines - if you ask the bar staff, they'll put on one of a number of different games - my favourite is the 90s classic Street Fighter 2! One slight downside is that the craft beer selection can be a bit hit and miss... It can sometimes seem like the manager takes whatever is going cheap from the local craft breweries. That said, it's still a cool bar, where you can often get a good beer and a good vibe!

My only (minor) disappointment was booking a table (which was free!) and then having several friends being turned away as the venue was too full (which they told me was a rare occurence). I myself almost didn't get in even though I came on time for my own booking.
Other than that I still do dig this place just for being a classic style bar, which is rare in Sydney to have without being overrun with long lines!
T. S.If you love craft beer, Star Wars, video games and an old school vibe, this is the place for you. Quiet little pub with some damn comfy seating. A great selection of craft beer, on tap and by the bottle and some old school video games for added entertainment. A great little place, definitely warrants a visit if you're in the area

C. V.My favourite bar in the Sydney CBD. Such a great little atmosphere below the street level on York. Always great craft beers available on tap, and great cocktails for those of you inclined. Make sure you have a chat with Jason and Gabby, the owners, in particular their sour beers.

H.Coming from USA, I searched for craft beer places, very few exist ( now in June 2018, may change) I recommend this place, it is small on a quiet street compared to places on George st) but very good ipa, had three choices, then you may try the heart bar ( bigger place)on Essex st. In darling harbor try Pump house. During my 4 week stay here, I reserve fri and sat for exploring beer in particular craft beers. Will post more.
E. H.A great little basement Bar with a cool group of bartenders and a nice vibe. The decor is 70s bedroom mixed with Star Wars. A must try on the menu is the first drink on the menu, that definitely does taste like a sour warhead! They also do a rotating daily/weekly special drink. Last time was a Green Yoda drink just before the Star Wars movie release.

D. M.These guys are ace, pop culture and starwars themes with epic 90s grunge and rock playlists, the guys curate a small but succint craft beer list with regular seasonal offerings. Cocktails are original and unpretentious and their pies amazing. Overall these guys have created a neighborhood bar vibe in the heart of the CBD, a place where you can have a chat with the team and good times.
m. s.My favourite bar in the CBD: full of NSW craft beers and great indie tunes. Friendly staff who know their stuff, and cosy enough for good conversations and a great place for a group of friends to try some unique Australian beers. Always pleasantly surprised by whatever I try.

R. V. K.Important points that make the SG amazing: everyone that works there is a delight. Star Wars, goat and spoon themed bar, how could you go wrong. The spoons were donate by his grandma! There are boardgames and a giant connect four (as well as regular size connect four). You can order grilled cheese toast with a selection of fine toppings. Bathrooms are lined with comics. One of the best and most unique places in this awful city

J. S.Cool place but has a tendency to close early and the security used seem to be looking for a reason to justify their presence. Its sad as the small bar scene is known for good and friendly service, but once you do get inside it's a great little bar. Well worth a visit.
