I can't say enough great things about Paula at Sydney Notary. In short, she is knowledgeable and precise. Her fees are quite reasonable for the level of knowledge and the outstanding service. In the end, she managed a fairly complicated matter so that it was simple for us. I called her from the Seattle Airport needing to set up a last minute notary for a refinance that was untimely closing during our abroad vacation. She texted me the info I needed to get an appointment minutes later so I didn't have to worry on my flight whether I could get an appointment. When I received my package overnight from the US a day later, she got us right in, even though the office was busy. Some issues popped up in the paperwork and she gave us her office to make a couple heated calls to resolve the issue. Between the stress of the trip, we were hungry, with a four-year-old in tow, and jet lag -- we were spent. This deal had been in the works for a long time and we were stressed. She helped us work it all out and managed to make what could've been a miserable morning pleasant and efficient so we could get on with our vacation. Her work was perfect and the documents were accepted in Washington State. We feel lucky we found her. I would recommend Paula without hesitation. Thank you Paula!

Nice people. Please note, notary / ID check services in Australia for non-Australian purposes are expensive. This should have been flagged at the outset. In the UK, an ID check for a UK company costs c.$10. Doing an ID check in Australia for a UK company costs several hundreds of dollars, if using an Australian notary. I would recommend exploring other ID checking options with the company requesting ID and avoid using an Australian notary if possible. If you have to use an Australian notary, make sure you get a cost estimate beforehand.
