A lovely and comfortable pub in Redfern in walking distance to Waterloo. Friendly service. Their Monday $15 rump steak with chips and salad was good. Steak was cooked well, served with a good portion of chips and salad.

Great little gem in Waterloo, as a local, I will make sure to come by for a drink more regularly! The pub itself is really cool and they even have a rum/gin bar on the second floor, drinks are well priced and they have specials for food every night of the week. We just had drinks, but food looked really inviting and smelled great, will be back for that as well.

I booked a Christmas Party for work last minute this year, Luke and his team at the Cauliflower were fantastic! The food was incredible and the staff checked in with us all afternoon to update us on the tab, and to see if we needed anything else. This is one the best local pubs I’ve been to. Accessing it is quite easy as it’s walking distance to Redfern station and there’s street parking if required. They have a gin bar with local (NSW) gin. The food is what surprises me about this place. It is yum! I had their Prawn and Chorizo pasta and couldn’t believe it was pub food. They’ve got a lovely area upstairs and the place is quite spacious. They have Covid safe protocols in place

We held a function here for our workplace and couldn't have been more pleased with the set up and level of service we received. Luke was amazing with his communications leading up to the event and ensured we had all our requests ready to go. Staff were super friendly and efficient during service. Our crew all had an incredible night and it couldn't have happened without the beautiful function space (we had the whole of upstairs) and the help of Luke and his team. Would highly recommend this space and should we need another space in the near future, Cauliflower will definitely be top choice. Thanks legends!

My new local is an absolute revelation. This pub isn't just 'cosy', it has a wild charm (particularly when you walk upstairs and are transported into some Central American circa East India-company era cocktail bar). The atmospherics are brilliant - but I haven't begun talking about the food. There's variety to be found here: the tacos are very very good (in particular beef and pork carnitas, and the absolutely NEXT LEVEL cauliflower taco). "Cauliflower taco?", I hear you say. Yes, it is indeed incredibly good - as is the Buffalo Cauliflower, a clever remix of Buffalo Wings. Absolutely binge-worthy. The burgers are outrageously generous and the chicken wings have proper Franks hot sauce and are succulent and tender. Perfection. The Cauliflower serves a competent parmi, but you're here for the other goods. Steer clear of the pepper sauce if you're getting it for chips - it's the one letdown (I always get pepper sauce at pubs because it's important - certainly not a dealbreaker for a venue, but does inform my future purchases). 5 stars awarded for cool as venue and cocktails, plus amazing food variety and taste.

Have driven past here for years and finally ventured inside. What a great little pub. Head upstairs and you'll find a great little gin and cocktail bar. The food was also delish! (try the Buffalo cauliflower) But the real star of the show is Lou! Everyone knows a pub's soul is their staff - and as long as you don't expect this pub to make it into the pearly gates, you couldn't ask for a better vibe!

Ive always loved cauli. since the early 80's growing up in the area....but since moving out of the area, it's been harder to get back there, but we always catch up every 3-6 months with friends I find that with every visit...my experience seems to get a bit more distant....my last experience has made me think twice about having our little catch ups there .. .. Walking in the front door into an empty Bar ,after singing in, we were met by a cold faced bartender whom was not friendly ... Even though she made the one of the best expresso martinis I have had which I gave her a great tip, herself and the Duty Manager at the time whom was very unfriendly and cold towards us when I asked if it was possible to put the fan on as we were sitting upstairs in the cocktail lounge having lunch on a 34' day (and it is an open setting) I always enjoy the top bar, when there is music, DJ, that actually makes the cauliflower hotel the bartender upstairs was a but under the pump (on her own) as there were great cocktail specials at the time, but she was friendly and professional. She didn't stop ... There was a bit of a waiting time but it was worth it My friends and I enjoyed the food which is always terrific. I would say the best pub bistro in the area.. the best specials.. always ... and The cocktails.. Nothing much more to say.. Just a little disappointed

Being a local this place is quite a little find, and it close proximity to trtansport if yu are coming out of town makes it all better. Staff are amazing and so friendly and always go out of their to serve and help you. The food is so tasty and the drinks are not overly expensive. Look forward to giving this place a visit again.

It really is a no frills place so don't expect a gastropub, this is a old pub on a busy street which smells a bit like old cigarettes but the food was good, service was good and all quite reasonably priced.

Cool building...and it has a massive capacity. Includes a beer garden and a great rooftop area. A great venue for private functions. Value is regular for the area. Food is solid, but happy hour is only on Thursday and is only select craft beers. All in all though, a great pub.

Ever started a new job and people don’t bother to remember your name? Wife at home doesn’t care about your day? Passive aggressive tweet to a local politician never got retweeted? Well, look no further for such things. The Cauliflower Hotel has a no bars hold policy of remembering you and learning your name. This plucky boatload of fun and booze is led by the fearless Lou. Loved and feared by her staff she provides an atmosphere similar to Cheers but with an actual laugh track. While good food and well priced booze are part and parcel but these are second to the great and outrageous staff, such as Surep who will go to painstaking lengths to not give you a nickname but a much longer name and endearing name. You cannot get this anywhere else. Should your Saturday afternoon be filled with a desire to get out of the house? Look no further than the Cauliflower to feel that void and became part of this dysfunctional family that will soon become a sitcom.

I saw they had live music, so went along to a band I'd heard before. Food was pretty good, and a solid range of beers (but not exceptional for the area). Rated down because they are NOT set up for live gigs. Sound system was terrible. Band was jammed in a corner & did not look like they wanted to do their second set. Audio was too low quality to really listen to, but too loud to talk over: either is fine, but pick one. They're probably better than 3 stars on a normal night, but the gig was simply not very good.

I have a real soft spot for the Cauli. We used to live right across the road and it has an extremely well-priced off licence. Pub usually has at least one or two more interesting beers on tap, as well as a decent range of more standard brews. They always have something on, from pub quiz, live music, tap takeovers, and if you want a change of pace, you can pop upstairs to the super cute wee rum bar. Staff are friendly and laidback and it’s just a good solid neighbourhood pub.

This a pleasant pub with rustic charm and character in the one-time rough inner-Sydney suburb of Waterloo. These days hipsterisation and gentrification are becoming apparent in the local area but the recently-renovated Cauli still reflects a longer history than these. Our group enjoyed tacos and better-than-average burgers with fresh-cooked chips...washed down with craft beer. The high ceilings and country shed feel of the rear section of the ground floor makes it feel airy and relaxed. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff give it a small bar vibe. We look forward to going back for cocktails and dj tunes in the cool upstairs bar.

I have eaten here twice now and although i like the venue i find the quality of food lacking. I had a chorizo and squid salad the second time and the squid was chewy and inedible unfortunately..
