Really lovely experience having Gin High Tea. Upgraded to bottomless teapots for an extra $20 is absolutely well worth it. Food was really nice, but the scones were a bit 'tangy' and 'tart', but delicious with Jam and Cream

We came for the Japanese whisky tasting experience, it was incredible! Our host, Rowan, was extremely knowledgeable and faultless, and gave us a thorough history with a few of his own anecdotes thrown in. Can't thank him and the venue enough!! 6 stars :)

Attended the gin tasting night with canapés - was super intimate and Brad was a great host! Was amazed by the subtle changes in tasting gin with garnishes and tonics. They were able to meet my specific dietary requirements and my dishes were equally as amazing as my partners. Just enough gin to be happy but not too sloshed and the timings were good for tastings/education so we could still socialise with each other, eat and drink but weren’t waiting around either!

Had a family outing for High Tea with plenty of Gin/Tea. Definitely pay the extra $20 per person for the bottomless teapots. Our waiter did an outstanding job. The food was plentiful. However, the scones were crumbly.

Lovely little cosy bar. This place also has seating downstairs. Popped in one Friday evening for drinks and a few nibbles. We ordered the following for the two of us: - Mushroom arancini, tasted great - Pork buns, would definitely get again - Scotch egg, nice but ive had better I'm afriad - Mixed plate dumplings, mostly great but a couple of odd flavours (couldn't quite place them to say which they were) Washed down with a mulled cider. Great service, very friendly and accommodating.

Warm and welcoming on a wet and windy winter's night. English-inspired menu ( Scotch eggs, great pies and mash, ploughman's lunch etc and a nod to Asia with the best dumpling around). Great service and the bar speciality is gin. Loads of it, neat, with mixer or in a cocktail. Very good value.

Considering they do whisky tasting they should probably update their menus to the correct home of the limited bottles they have. I don't know many distilleries in Liverpool England that make whisky and I'm pretty sure neither Monkey Shoulder or Woodford Reserve come from there as stated! C'mon guys, you're supposed to know better...

Dumplings are really good here, there are different types available but in general there's not a lot of choice of food and drinks. We went there at 1:45pm, it wasn't busy so we didn't have to wait long time to eat. There's also a small but comfortable lower ground floor.

Didnt manage to get a photo of the other dishes. The venue was nice and cosy but the food was just average. We got the mixed plate of dumpling and the pork bun. Entree was the mix platter of cheese. The place has a downstairs is can get quite squishy as chairs are place quite closely back to back.

I hosted my 21st birthday party at The Fox Hole and I cannot recommend them enough! James and the team truly went above and beyond since my first inquiry, to the night of the party, and even were lovely to follow up after. They took all the stress away from picking the perfect venue, and were so helpful with organising catering through to equipment for the party. James and I began with a tour of the place, which is an adorable double-level bar with a nice ambience, and cool basement feel downstairs. He walked me through all the food and drink options, taking the time to understand the size of the event, and how they could accomodate. He also introduced me to the other staff who were also lovely, and were super helpful on the night. They customised the lights and table settings how I wanted them to, and even made me a customised cocktail!! I rented the whole place for a Saturday night and it was well within my budget. The food was decent, and when my friend mentioned that she forgot to tell the kitchen that she was gluten free, I mentioned it to Matt (one of the staff) and he whipped up something super fast just for her- so sweet! Overall, the service, location, quality and everything in between was 5-star. Highly recommend and thank you to the team for making my special night happen!

I love the stock of local gin. We've got so many great gin producers and we need places like The Fox Hole to showcase the gin. Quite reasonably priced gin. The food was good. We had arancini (a must try!), scotch eggs, dumplings (yum!) and a chicken pie with mash and all the dishes were good. We were on the ground floor which is quite a small space. Covid safe

This is the 5th (alcohol tasting) and 3rd over zoom and this was the best online one we have done by far! Haven't visited the venue but did their At Home Gin Tasting Experience which was fantastic. They send out everything you need in a kit and you can book in for any Saturday that suits you. In our Zoom call they split us into two groups so there would be enough time to ask questions. The tasting was really fun and I learnt a lot about different styles of Gin and unexpected garnishes.

Great happy hour deals which make for a nice place for a drink with friends on a Friday night. We came for the Dimmi deal and were told that the deal didn’t apply to the mixed dumplings banquet which was unfortunate. At least the waiter was aware and informed us when we tried to order it. The service was friendly and prompt. When it comes to the food, it’s definitely not a place I’d come to for a nice dinner. The menu was more focused on bar food which was to accompany your drink - the main attraction. The dumplings were very average and taste like they’re from a packet. The truffle sausage was tasty and unique. Overall, a very average experience.

Went here mid- week for dinner and drinks. It was pretty loud but not off putting. The drinks are great but food choices are a bit all over the shop. I guess it's sort of bar food but then mixed in with meals of pies and toasties. I ordered the pie which was nice enough but my friend ordered the salmon crostini which was the same price and absolutely tiny. Just think it needs a bit of a review on the food choices.

Love this place for Friday lunches. Staff are amazing. They were giving out free hugs on International Women's Day and I missed out, so I complained upon my next visit and now I get a hug every time I go in. That is a level of service you can't get in every bar! The dumpling plates are great and the wine is good. Downstairs is nice for an intimate conversation, upstairs is best for the people watching.

The service isnt very attentive, and the lower level smelt badly like a bug bomb when we tried to sit down there once, but we occasionally come back on Tuesday evenings because they have happy hour with a tasty house red wine, and $1 steamed dumplings after 5pm. Got buzzed and a feed after work for under $30 so it was worth it.

The Fox Hole is a cool little place, I only stayed for coffee and dumplings with a great big windows seat (and a sneaky power point) it was an amazing place to sit and drink coffee while watching everyone walk past. It has a few tables and some bench seating. At night it looks like a bar but for the city dweller this would be my local if I worked near, the staff were enthusiastic and positive. Defiantly a place to try! I didn't detect any wifi when I was there, but that could have changed now.

Fox hole is a nice cosy little bar in the city, perfect for having a red wine on a rainy day after work. You can watch the world go by upstairs by the windows, or get comfy down stairs on the couch. The service could be improved as staff are always going from one floor to the other, but they are friendly. They do fantastic dumplings too - you can taste all seven kinds for $14 or buy plates of 4 for $8.

Upstairs was nice at the street level looking out & watching the Sydney Rat Race world go by.
