Went to a function held at verandah bar and I have to say the food we had was good. I don't expect much from bars but was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas are delicious. Flat style of pizzas, seafood and plain cheese & basil & tomato were my favourites (the feta & pumpkin not so much). Would definitely go back.

A bustling bar and restaurant near Martin Place and Pitt Street Mall in Sydney CBD. Great place and good atmosphere for casual dining or few drinks. Group booking is welcome and no surcharge. Food is ok and reasonably priced for pub lunch.

Medium Rare steak - came well done , Medium steak - came well done , and the well done - came well done ! So you got one steak right out of 3, well done !! The waitress who served the food must be having a bad day! Seemed very unpleasant while serving the steak ! Chef really need to love what he is doing else regardless of how you want your steak to be done - it will all come out wrong, but on a brighter side, it will come cooked ! So chef knows how to kill the meat but don’t know how to cook .

We hosted a corporate social event here and had a great experience. Huge shout out to Saskia for making the whole process seamless. She went above and beyond to make sure our event was a success and guests gave plenty of feedback on how much they enjoyed the night. Highly recommend if you're looking for a venue for your next work/group event!

Been to Verandah bar and restaurant many times for after work drinks. They have a great range of drinks and great pizzas. Love the ambience and they do have happy hour I believe it’s upto 7pm if I’m not wrong. It’s a great place to hangout with you colleagues or mates for after work drinks and food.

Hey, how ya going? I ordered the southern fried chicken thinking it was a burger but turns out its a sandwich and the menu says sandwich. But anyway, it's heaps good.

Management- the "background music level" is way too much- would go there if I wanted not to chat and just shout and get smashed with expensive drinks when I was 18 - we even asked for a quieter spot - even then I had to ask the dude to turn it down?? (Of course there was attitude in return ) AND this wasnt a late night outing but a Tuesday business lunch- go figure?

Verandah Public was a fantastic venue for my 30th last weekend! Great food, great staff, and a nice space that felt like our own for the night. Highly recommend it! The pre-planning through their events company was really easy too, and they did everything to be as helpful as possible, especially with constantly changing Covid rules. Couldn't have asked for more!

Food is decent, toilets (male) aren't great but they are clean, just don't expect to dry your hands as there isn't any towels and the hand dryer is in a terrible place. Tables are far too close together and very hard to access

What a beautiful lunch!! Kosciuszko schooners whilst waiting for the wifey ;) Fresh and succulent Pambula oysters to start, along with a their stunning zucchini flowers entree. My wifes trevalla fish with pancetta, peas and sage was devine, not quite as devine as the Montalto Chardonnay though!! Excellent friendly and knowledgeable service from Katie, Stewart and the team. It's fine. Nothing to rave about. The specials are good value but you'll find yourself waiting for a table on Fridays if you don't book (standard across most of the city so I don't hold it against them!). Hasn't really got something special about it to make you want to go there over other venues in the area. There are better alternatives but you could definitely do a whole lot worse

I was my youngest son and fiancee at a menu tasting for their wedding reception. The place is pretty and cosy, with a well placed bar in the middle of the place, service is fantastic.

Lunch was great but it can get a little smokey at times due to the bbq. A good location but not much of a view unless you likes buildings and traffic

I have been there on a few Saturday nights for a night club event. The venue is of nice size and the crowd was fantastic. Went there with a group of friends and the bar service was great! Smoking area is close to the dance floor which is a massive plus!

Selection of tap beers was limited but the prices were very reasonable. Music definitely too loud to chat. We struggled to find a corner to have some discussion. As soon as we finished the first drink, we decided to find more quiet place.

Good drinks in a relaxed space. Just be prepared to be surrounded by men in white/blue button down shirts tucked into gray slacks. They should really have a men’s clothing pop-up store that coaches these fellas into branching out into more colors and styles.

Food is alright. But the place is great. Located in the second floor. You have the big floor and long table dining which is great. Lots of TV shows sports channel which is great if you hangout with work colleagues. The food is alright on my experience.

After a recent menu change there aren't many vegetarian options and no seasonal menu. It is better for a quick drink than a sit down catch up especially considering how many tables seemed to be reserved but empty.

Central location in the middle of the CBD. Good for an after 5 drink but you wouldn't want to spend your whole evening there. Friday afternoons are extremely noisy...have to shout to be heard and bar service is slow. It's ok for a quick drink at the pub.

They have food specials on weekdays Mon ~ Thurs. Food is pretty good, my team likes to come here on Fridays. Could be pretty packed on Fridays. Average decor, self service. Balcony nice when it's sunny

came here for the wagyu beef burgers on Thursday - which is on special for $10 with any purchase of a drink. the portions are generous but a petite girl (such as myself ;D) can fit 2 burgers with chips easily. great place for friday afternoon drinks. but be sure to book as it can get pretty packed!

The ambience and decor of this place is weird. It's like they missed a decade or maybe more. Ordinarily, if everything else is ok (service, food, prices etc) it still works, though for some reason it doesn't work here - in desperate need of a makeover. Good for 1 maybe 2, at most. Then move on.

Very popular during Friday lunchtimes, but despite that it didn't take too long to order and food arrived very promptly. It's just a bit on the loud side so better for a group lunch than a one on one.
