A recent dining experience at the Woollahra Hotel was worthy of a 5-star review. The recently refurbished front bar holds on to the amazing art decor style and heritage of the hotel which has been around since the 1930's. Plenty of beers on tap and a team of exceptionally skilled bar staff who made some of the best cocktails I've had in a while, highly recommend trying the gimlet. We moved up stairs to enjoy some of the Asian fusion dishes I had heard so much about. Chef Jordan and his team bring a highly elevated dining experience in a relaxed setting, the braised beef short rib and kingfish curry were the standout dishes of the night. A big thank you to the friendly and attentive team that hosted us, I highly recommend you check out the Woollahra Hotel and all it has to offer.

The Woollahra hotel is one of Sydney’s best pubs. With its stunning interiors, sensational food and fantastic staff you are assured a great night. I had a milestone Birthday in the private dinning room which has a baby grand piano and it’s own bathrooms. The amazing Kate coordinated my event to the last detail and ensured everything went without a hitch. The Asian banquet was delicious and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Just had my wife's 30th in the cocktail area for 17 guests. The canapes were all top notch (especially the vegetarian options surprisingly!) and the service that was given was exceptional. The canapes had just the right seasoning and were very flavourful The staff, especially the two female bartenders, went out of their way to accommodate us and it felt very special. Very highly recommend having your next function here!

This is a sexy Art Deco pub that has been super true to it’s heritage and mixed their multi-floor offering with Jordan a high-profile Asian fusion chef. This venue has existed since the 1930’s. Spread over two stories, with multiple rooms, function areas, amazing lighting, a retractable roof and an amazing team of staff. Honourable mentions to the friendly crew I met last night, you guys made our night. The fish curry is a MUST

Delicious, really delicious banquet spread, for a reasonable price. Courtyard where we were seated was stylish and spacious - felt like an absolute treat to have our little work Christmas lunch there. Waiter was lovely - casual, friendly, super attentive without being imposing. It was a hot day, some fans in the courtyard would have been the cherry on top. Will be coming back. :)

My brother and I had lunch at Moncur Bistro yesterday. As always, the food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambience perfect. Mouth watering food, well presented. For those that prefer non alcoholic beverages, I highly recommend the mocktails. I had 2 glasses of the Moncur Mocktail and felt refreshed! The food is over priced though. But worth every bit of it. It was a nice birthday lunch for 2 of my relatives and they thoroughly enjoyed it!

The service was great - really friendly and efficient. The big surprise was the food! We shared salt & pepper calamari (which is generally always good) while the prawn dumplings were delicious. We also had the spanner crab betel leaf and they were divine. My partner had a beef burger and said it was really nice. The green chicken curry I had was honestly the best I've ever tasted. As this isn't a Thai restaurant I was prepared for it to be ordinary, but it was absolutely scrumptious. We will definitely be back as it's lovely to sit under the stars, especially when the food is so good.

Awesome space for a party. Enclosed outdoor are a with an open roof was a perfect setting! I attended a Christmas party there. Friendly staff and servers were very polite. Food was yummy! Toilets are immaculate for a pub, very impressed with that! Had a lot of fun

Beautiful bar upstairs. The young woman who served us was very capable, and made us a few rounds of excellent margaritas. We had a few other drinks which were well presented. I had one glass of wine that I think might have been a bit passed it, though to be fair I didn't say anything either. One of my friends had a lovely ocean trout sashimi dish which she enjoyed. I didn't try any food myself. Decor is very nicely done; very upmarket and stylish. All staff were professional. I would definitely go back.

Super nice pub. The upstairs outdoor area is lovely and sunny in summer and can close up for dreary days with some nice heaters. The staff(especially the lady manager) are always really friendly. The short rib bao and the malt xpa are top notch.

The food was great, but, apparently as a result of short-staffing on Oz Day, the first morsels did not arrive until 75 minutes after we did. There was no reduction in the bill to compensate, and no offer of (e.g.) a free dessert. After "response from the owner" below, I did send my details, but 3 weeks on there has been no reach-out.

My Local Pub. It's a shame that burger I had last night was pretty average couldn't even finish it. I reckon you should start finding a better burger bun first and the rest.

If you haven’t come here in the last 6 months give it another go. Somebody’s changed either menus, ingredients, or cooks. Whatever they’ve done, we like it better than we did before! If you’re coming with kids be sure to arrive early because there are only a few suitable tables inside.

The Woollahra Hotel has always been a favourite of mine. The menu is broad and full of delicious, fresh options and great daily deals. If you’re coming for a feed try the poached chicken salad ($16) or one of the woodfired pizzas ($14-21). If you’re just there to nibble you cant go past the salt and pepper calamari ($12). They also have a great cocktail list, the espresso martini ($14) is one of the best I’ve had.

Nice place but they seem to have a policy of short-pouring the beers and giving them massive Dutch-style heads which quickly dissipate to leave a rather unappealing and disheartening measure. You wonder if this kind of cynical margin skimming is worth it.

A great spot for a Sunday session, the Terrace attracts a funky crowd and offers a pretty extensive menu (including a $10 burger). Perfect for large groups that want to soak up the sun, Woollahra might just be one of my new favourite weekend spots.
