They are part of a selected group of Italian restaurants / pizzerias that prepare their pizzas as the original pizzaiolos in Naples, these are from ‘La Vera Pizza Napoletana’. Aside from this distinction, their pizzas are just divine! Everything else in their menu looks fantastic too. Highly recommended

Fantastic food, great wine and good service. If you are looking to get a nice bottle of red to go with your pasta, I highly recommend the Montepulciano! This place was pretty busy so If you would like to sit inside I would recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.

DELIZIOSO.... Came here for wifeys work Xmas shindig and had a blast. Now this could have been attributed to the awesome crew vibes and alcohol, but I'd like to think that the venue played it's part also hahaha. Right off the bat the staff were awesome and accommodating, even allowing us to switch to a more cosy corner table when we arrived. Out waitress was super fun and smiley, catering to every request which included my wifes desire to have her G&T in (as she refers to it), "a pretty glass" 🍸 Starters of a Salumi Board (which boasted the highest quality cured meats), Woodfired garlic and herb focaccia & beautiful freshly shucked oysters, got us off to a cracking start. Our individually ordered mains ranged from perfect Pastas (bolognaise, marinara and GF carbonara), fantastic woodfired pizzas (which had some of the best bases I've had in Adelaide) and a mountain of locally sourced mussels. The only shortfall was we we're having that much fun, our 2hr allotted time elapsed before we had the opportunity to try any dessert. In all 400 Gradi is definitely worth a visit the next time your cruising the parade.

Really nice interior, very classy feels. Thin crusted traditional Italian pizzas. The base was done nicely, who doesn't love a good bread. The funghi pasta was so delicious. A fave. Creamy and full of truffle taste. Could've used more sauce with it, as it dries up quite quickly.. Best eaten straight away when it's warm. The pasta was also made well. Price is expensive for a small portion.

Amazing food and service as always, this is my fourth time here in the past 1.5 years! A true favourite for Italian cuisine here in Adelaide. Could not fault most of the dishes (Margherita, paparadelle al funghi, lasagne) though I would say the fennel in the barramundi dish could've been a bit more tender. The carnivore pizza was a bit salty for my liking but perhaps that is just preference! Burrata and zucchini flowers are absolutely divine and I'm surprised they are not mentioned in any of the reviews! Decided to finally write a review just to mention it 😂

I’d rate 400 gradi as one of the best Italian restaurants in Adelaide. It never disappoints. From the arancini with melted cheese oozing out and sitting in a divine and well balanced bolognese sauce. To the pappardelle al funghi pasta dish with such silky smooth perfectly cooked ribbons of pasta. And how could you not mention their amazing world’s best (award winner) Margherita wood oven pizza. Simply the best. Great service too!

One of my favourite Italian restaurants in Adelaide! We ordered the Margherita pizza (which won world's best pizza in 2014 so couldn't go wrong!) and the Pappardelle Al Funghi. The pizza was perfect from their perfectly cooked dough to the fresh tomatoes and mouth watering cheese! The Pappardelle was so silky smooth and truffle just added an amazing extra flavour to the creamy mushroom sauce! We had arancini balls for entree and they were absolutely divine! Loved the sides of parmesan and chilli oil to add to our dishes. Service was also fantastic: from the reminder phone call on the day to confirm the booking, to the staff upon arrival and our lovely, attentive and friendly waitress. We were so full which I was so disappointed about because I would have loved to have dessert. Will definitely be back to try more dishes! Highly recommend.

Lazy Easter Saturday lunch. Pasta (Carbonara) was on the smaller size but still very filling. Delicious flavours with decent sized pieces of meat all the way through. We tried something different this time with the Gunness World Record 154 cheese pizza and the truffle pizza and both were fantastic. Thin, crispy, chewy and beautifully charred crusts and well balanced toppings. Definitely worth a try

Great pizza and pasta. Prices for each are $24-26 for a regular 1 person pizza, which is pricey. Good table service. Very cramped. Very loud - difficult to hear people at your own table. Dark lighting and small print on menus means over 50s need to bring reading glasses and use your phone to read the menu. Read the menu carefully - I bought one called Supremo thinking it would be "supreme like", but it's actually vegetarian with roast pumpkin! (see picture) but it did taste good. Definite upmarket vibe. Service is fast, professional and friendly, though you are moved on quickly - no loitering at the table after food is finished.

This place is busy on the Saturday we dined here. Had high expectation after an amazing experience with the Melbourne southbank one. Food was good but not as good as the Melbourne. The pizza was well topped and the edge crust was nice. A bit soggy in the middle and wasn't as crispy. Service at most time was attentive but as they got busier it was hard to get their attention to pay the bill so could catch a movie. Probably won't eat here again as theres so many other options around but don't let that stop you. Prepare to dig deep when paying the bill.

Had a fantastic cousin catch up here. Wonderful service from a beautiful lady from Rome itself...how authentic. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made the evening. A great host. For sure, one of the best authentic Italian pizza in the town. The service was just fantastic. The staff was so friendly, caring and professional. We ordered three different pizzas and one meatball appetiser. The meatball was a bit under seasoned but the combination of the chilli oil and parmesan complimented the seasoning. One criticism about the calzone is that it was a bit too doughy and undercooked and the dough was not nicely puffed up but the flavours were quite there. Also the crab spaghetti was fresh but a bit too fishy. So definitely a must visit place for Italian food lovers.

We walked in and got greeted by beautiful Alessia. She was very welcoming and made us feel happy that we were there. She brought our drinks straight away. We had a Passionate Business Mocktail and she kept our water glasses topped up throughout our meal. Our meals arrived and they looked delicious. We ordered to share, the Mozzarelle Fritte, the Arancini balls and a Capricciosa Pizza... DELICIOUS !!! The staff were attentive, the surroundings were beautiful and we had a wonderful meal. We are looking forward to going back.

I’d like to give this place a 3.5 but I can’t. I think 3 is a little bit low but I think 4 is being generous. Yes it’s pizza and pasta done well but if I’m honest it’s bloody expensive for what you get. Entrees were nice (small) but nice. For mains I opted for the veal cotoletta as I didn’t feel like pizza or pasta and my friend got the steak. The veal was super thin with a tiny little coleslaw that went with it for $36 and the steak (which was cooked perfectly) was served with a simple rocket salad for $45. A bit rich for what you got.. The service, although regular wasn’t the best. When asking the waitress if she could recommend a nice wine for our meal she just pointed to the one on top of the list and said this ones good. It was $145 compared to the rest that were around the $50-$60 range. When asked what it was like she had no idea. Lol just get the expensive one. Desert was nice, probably the stand out and the restaurant itself was stunningly beautiful. A nice overall experience but when I’m spending nearly $300 for two people it needs to be outstanding.

My partner and I went for dinner on Valentine's Day and it was absolutely beautiful. It was so refreshing to have Jordan as our waitor, he was so polite and well mannered, it made for an extremely pleasant experience before we even got any food. As someone who is gluten intolerant they didn't have too many gluten free options, a few sides and appetizers have gluten free options, they have a gluten free gnocchi and penne pasta option. I had the penne pasta with a beef ragu sauce which was rich and flavourful. 10/10 would go there again.

TAKEAWAY ORDER Whilst the pizza bases & ingredients were good quality, they were expensive for the size & quantity of ingredients. Im half Italian and have super high standards when it comes to Italian food. Especially from restaurants that claim to have "authentic" dishes. But honeslty I have only good things to say about 400 Gradi. The pizza was perfection, cooked beautifully, generous toppings but not overloaded (traditional style is light!). The dessert was tasty also. Furthermore the service staff were all extremely professional and the gentleman in charge tonight made thoughtful and engaging small talk as we left. The highest compliment you can give an Italian restaurant is very fitting for 400 gradi; "tasted as good, if not even better than nonnas!" Will be back very soon.

Fantastic service! The staff were under the pump as it was a busy night. The people on the table before us overstayed their time and we had to wait 20-30 mins for the table, but it was worth the wait as usual. Over priced for Nonna's cooking. Good food but not as excellent as the prices suggest and I've had better at Nonna's. More fat on the lamb than meat. I ended up leaving more on the plate than I ate. The sirloin looked and rated well. The gnocchi melted in your mouth. Good service but don't ask us to tip the staff in Australia. It's rude. We have labour laws in this country to ensure we will never be a tipping society. The food and good service (despite the request good a tip) kept this three stars.

As a result our meal was perfect, the pizza is different to westernised pizza so expect a slightly softer centre and beautiful crust, they haven't made a mistake, it is meant to be like this. As southern residents looking for a delicious pizza on a Sunday afternoon we decided to make a trip to Norwood going by a friends recommendations to try out 400 Gradi Noorwood. We didn't have a booking, but a table was kindly found for us. Dined here on a warm night. We sat outside due to covid restrictions. We enjoyed the prawn pizza and the parpadelle with mushrooms. Fresh and Delicious. For dessert we shared a tirimisu. Again yummy. The pizza quality was quite good. I would say it is comparable to 400 Gradi on Lygon Street Melbourne. I went on Mothers Day so it was very busy but it did seem like there is not enough space for customers that are waiting to be seated. Staff need to be trained properly in the serving of alcohol, the waitress did not know how to pour a beer without filling half the cup with foam head. And the waiter did not know any specifics of the wine he was recommending. Given this place is new and staff are probably still undergoing training, it was overall a pleasant experience. I'll be back in a few months to see if things have improved. Would recommend

We came here for coffee only, no food. The person at front of house and the person who served us were friendly and accomodating - happy to take a table of 3 for coffee only. We were treated very well, despite not eating. The staff checked in on us multiple times (not in an annoying way), refilled our waters, and made us feel very welcome. The menu is extensive and offers vegetarian and vegan options. The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely and would be appropriate for date night. Good drinks selection. Reasonably priced for what you get.

Amazing Pizza and Service! Attentive staff even when it was packed. A Note Though: This Pizza is fairly different from most Westernised Pizza. Its cooked differently, uses a different base, and the toppings are a lot more sparse than what most people would be used to. It's delicious but if you're used to the inch thick pizza's crowded in toppings fighting each other for flavour that most places serve then you might not like the more traditional pizza here. That being said, if you like traditional pizza then you're in for a treat!

3 stars only... because the pizza was amazing! This place is good for a pizza bar and that’s it. The prices were extremely expensive, the service was very slow (waited ages to be acknowledged and then for taking orders), water was never refilled throughout the duration when dining and then we sat in front of our plates after we had finished for ages. The restaurant is extremely cramped. You can’t walk past any chairs.. there is about a 40cm gap between every single occupied chair in the place. For the prices and the slow service, it wasn’t great! The waiter also asked for a tip - I think that’s pretty offensive, we aren’t a customary tipping country and you would only consider a tip for good efficient service! The response back when saying no thank you to a tip was also pretty offensive! Probably won’t be back despite the pizza being great - you can get great pizza at many other places! When comparing this place to coccobello, ruby red, pizza tecca, Chico palms.. it is amateur!

Well the wait was certainly worth it. This place is gorgeous and the waiting staff (especially Emmica) absolutely brilliant with their knowledge of what is on the menu. We shared the Fritto Misto which was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Then of course we had to try the Margherita Verace which was I have to say one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time and certainly understand why he won an award for it. We washed this down with a bottle of Lamberti Pinot Grigio at a reasonable price of $49. So far this place is a winner and I hope it stays this way as I look forward to recommending to friends as well as returning to try their home made pastas.

Been eagerly awaiting this place opening since May last year, so it's probably not really surprising we were a bit disappointed. It started with a queue out the door to talk to the front of house staff. There was then a further - albeit brief - wait for our table. Awesome start since I booked weeks ago. We managed to squeeze our way through the ridiculously overcrowded dining room to a pretty average table. Seriously, do you enjoy that feeling on public transport where you can't move for fear of elbowing someone in the face? Then 400 Gradi is for you! I get that they are trying to keep up with the insane demand, but it does not lead to an enjoyable dining experience. Anyway the service was great and the food was good, so that's a plus. However it's definitely not the best pizza napoletana in Adelaide. If you can't actually get in here, try Est Ovest, Pizza/Mozzarella Bar, Pizza Meccanica, Fumo etc instead. Will come back if/when it ever quietens down and I no longer feel like I'm sitting in someone else;s lap.

Napoletana pizza being their showcase, it didn't disappoint in terms of pizza dough quality and wood-fired charring . Can be a tad more generous with the topping portions though! Entrees of meatballs and fried zucchini were very good: gorgeous balcahau-cream stuffed zucchini in light yet crispy batter, and the bread with the meatballs was addictive! Good pricing, good food and excellent service makes 400 Gradi a very slick Italian joint.
