Have been wanting to try this place for a while, driven past numerous times… I’m glad…we finally had the opportunity to try it out! The service was fast & friendly, and the food was super fresh! Nom Nom 🤤 The taste of the food, and restaurant decor, brings back many memories of amazing burger places we visited on our USA 🇺🇸 Holiday, which sadly won’t be for a very very long time 😭 Thanks Carl’s Jr.. for them good, warm a fuzzy feels of the “USA” in Adelaide 😘

Used to be our favorite burger shop in my home country until we find other better places in Adelaide.

Burgers are good but they tend to get the order wrong. They messed up my order twice upon calling the store they send be a voucher which took 10 days to arrive. I used the voucher and then they messed up my order again. The chips are always warm and soggy.

In my opinion this one is better than the one on Hampstead Rd. Food good size, well prepared, better presentation and good customer service. When you go to the other one the difference is very obvious. Not sure if kiddos working there aren't really into their job.

Carl's jr provides fast service and good food. The burgers are always neatly prepared unlike the sometimes thrown on look from McDonald's and Hungry Jack's. The staff are attentive and the surfaces are kept tidy and clean. I have recommended this particular location to my brother who in his own words had been "Converted" to Carl's Jr. If you're seeking a burger house to worship at. I highly recommend having the Superstar burger with their Biscoff milkshake.

American style flame grilled burgers. Has been busy busy busy since this opened few weeks ago, but service is fast and staff are quick to clean up after those that don’t clean up afterwards. Dining inside has charging stations and booths for groups/families. Outdoor dining area needs some shaded space though. Has drive through. Toilets are kept clean.

Nice and clean, good service, decent food for this type of establishment. Food was brought to the table, and the eating area was cleaned quickly. We were asked if we were finished with our rubbish and it was take. Away when we replied yes. Here are napkin holders in each table which is handy, and appreciated. Toilets are clean and large, which is handy for people who need extra space, like those which toddlers or mobility issues. There were clean and didn’t smell either. This might be because it was new, but we did go when it was very busy. There are charging stations on some of the tables, the tall ones with stools, two power points and two USB slots each side. The drinks are refillable too.

The burgers were generous in size and the actual bun was not sugary. They were constructed really well & it was refreshing to have ample salad in the burger, unlike other burger franchises. Its also nice to have the bottom part of the burger wrapped in paper so your hands remain clean. The fries were tasty & had just enough salt. Was very happy with my first ever visit to Carl's Jr & it won't be my last.

My western burger was far from what it looks like on their photo above the counter. But kudos to the staff for the great service. The place feels cozy. They have an alfresco for when the weather is pleasant. The amenities are clean.

I’d prefer the fries had a bit less salt on them due to the chili and cheese, but for fast food that happens.

A nice comfortable atmosphere. Somewhere between a fast food joint and a more fancier burger place like the ones popping up everywhere. We had chicken burgers and I found the chicken to be really juicy and succulent and well cooked. They could put more thought into making sure the burger doesn't slide around and fall apart when you're eating it though and I feel the price is a tad over what it should be. But quite nice. I like the chips; they had a real potatoey homemade kind of flavour.

Bit expensive, TheHawaiin beef burger is my favourite. Stay away from the fried chicken sandwich, basically paying $13 for a zinger burger.

Really tasty, fresh burgers! You can refill your drinks when eating in. Friendly staff. The chicken burger was really good quality, definitely recommended. We sat at the booth with the TV and it was on repeat which was annoying when trying to eat. I recommend the staff offer/mention the sauces when ordering, the chips are freshly made but can be a bit dry after eating a few so sauce should be recommended. The ice machine was out of order so drinks weren't as cold or nice as they probably would have been otherwise.

So yum! Everything is really tasty. I highly recommend the CrissCut chips, they have some great seasoning 👌🏼 They have free drink refills, and there are also good dessert options (like ice-cream cookies). The Kilburn Carl’s Jr is near a petrol station and a few other stores. There’s heaps of parking available! The design and seating options in the store is also great.

Like McDonalds and Hungry Jacks had a delicious baby! This was my first time trying Carl’s Junior in Australia. Chips were thin and crispy and burger was outstanding, I had the Double Jalapeño, it was absolutely fantastic. Packaging was great, burger was neatly wrapped so didn’t get messy. Good portion size. Definitely more expensive than other fast food chains but the quality is nicer.

Delicious, fresh, fast and great service... Angus pattie is better than the standard, but still processed high volume meat pattie like other fast food chains... Wouldn't bother with the standard menu, just go all out and order the more expensive side... It's way better...

Really neat restroom set up, pretty clean in there too, the burgers are amazing, can't exactly say the same for the chips but its still really nice, I recommend coming here for lunch or a dinner or something.

Food was good for the price but it took ages to get it. I went through the drive through and ordered pancakes. The lady said it would be 4-5 minutes, however, it took 10 minutes to get to me. If it's more like a take away and not fast food, why have a drive through?

It was a really good experience. Friendly staff and very quick to get my order had just filled up my drink and sat down at my table and my food was straight out. For anyone wondering what the actual food is like it's like the best hungry jacks you've ever had.. I had the super star burger and it was exactly like a wopper although tasting much fresher and not sloppy. My wife had the Easter bacon cheese burger and was basically a really good quality rodeo burger from He's it cost more than hungry jacks but it's definitely nicer and higher quality doesn't leave you feeling super greasy.

This burger joint used to be pretty good when they first opened, but in the last year or so they've really gone down hill. The Famous Star burger (Whopper clone) is the only burger I'd bother with on their menu, as it usually comes with nice fresh, crisp salad, but their chips are terrible. Always soggy now (change the fat in your fryers!) the onion rings are a better choice now. I also used to dine in a lot, but the last time I went there I had to walk around the dining area to try and find a table that wasn't covered in crumbs etc. I even saw a staff member walk around inspecting the place, but they didn't seem to notice that the the tables needed cleaning. I used to recommend Carl's to people, but I simply can't anymore. A shame, because I'm not a fan of McDonalds or HJ's.

Finally made it to an Oz version of Carl's Jr and want disappointed. I mean I wasn't blown away or anything but it was a good, solid representation of fast food slightly different from Hungry Jack's or MacDonald's. The food costs a little more than the other two but the quality is the. Their chicken burger want even snack sized bit their Big Carl - only a couple of dollars more - was rather large. Regardless, you mostly go for the shakes and chili-cheese fries, which were great. These are good value and perfectly fresh. Overall will head back if on the area bit don't I'll regularly be seeking their services.

Old classic from the US of A here in Adelaide. I like the burgers here. Took the kids for lunch there. In many ways better than 2 competitors. Chips nicer and bottomless drink is great. A little pricier than others I think... Almost getting to gourmet Burger costs but other than that do highly recommend!

Drive pass here regularly and there always seems to a few patrons everytime; and it was no different when I visited. There were quite a few burgers to pick from. My burger was tasty enough (like a home made burger with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and sauce). Few gripes - patty was a bit thin and wasn't pan fried/or grilled, making lack that burger flavour. Would have been nice if they toasted the buns as well. Their chips (cross between wedges and fries) was also a bit limp.

Great burgers, they taste just like the ones in America. The onion rings have that perfect crunch, same with the hand cut chips. The atmosphere in the store has that happy, family vibe. The decor modern diner. I'd recommend the place for a family, single diner, and even couples. Perfect place for a first date, and could even see teens going there to hang out with mates. The drive thru is an added bonus, if you don't feel like eating in.

The food here is actually pretty good! I had a burger with pineapple which I actually didn't think would be too great, but the flavor was actually amazing! I would definitely get it again. I had a soda float which took me back to my childhood, and it was great. I'm a bit surprised by how fast the food comes out, it was at our table before we were! The unlimited re fill drinks is great too. There were plenty of staff and the restaurant was kept very clean. It was a great time all round except for my son getting stuck between the booth and the window, but this wasn't their fault! Lol The staff came to us with great concern though, because he was screaming, which was nice of them .

Burgers are ok, fries not so good. The fries were bland as they were cook long time ago. Check if there are fries already made in the waiting deck behind the register, if they are there, probably have been there for a while and you'll repeat my experience.

Always satisfying. Been here a number of time and never disappointed. Thier newly launche Chiken Star Burger is now my favorite. Chips with skin, Hawaiian Burger are also a good try. I like the seating arrangement in particular, it's set the way that one can enjoy all seasons. The grilled chicken was a little undercooked for me though

Store very well presented but limited parking. Range was great, prices of burgers alone are on par with other places but combo prices a big hit above all different chain stores that said however the drinks are refillable as much as you want. Service was good overall and food prepared quickly without being a mess. Will definitely go back to try more.

Carl's jr burgers are so good, i had the original angas burger, the meat patty was juicy and the lettuce and tomato was nice and fresh ! They also made really nice milkshakes (you can have them with or without whipped cream). I am someone who counts their calories and this meal was definitely worth the extra calories!

More than enough food, and it was all delicious, the fries were simply stunning and with free refills of softdrink it worked out at 10 dollars each.., so great value too

Nice place, but the meat in the burger wasn't "grilled" by any means (looked microwave cooked more than anything else), however, the salads in the burger were good. Overall I much prefer Hungry Jacks burgers, and they are cheaper. I'm not sure that I would bother with a second visit.

Sometimes their burgers are not as warm as you would expect or even a bit cold but other than that the taste is good! The quality is good and their service is great! Difinitely recommend Carl's Jr over McDonald's or Hungry Jacks. Their quality and price is much much better!

The burgers we had were nice but the party seemed cheaper than expected (We had the ones with Angus parties but seemed like store bought frozen patties. McDonald's and Hungry Jack's have much nicer patties) Fries were nice and free refills were good. Kids meal toy was only crayons and paper. Table service was a nice bonus though

They were very fast to bring out burgers - came out a minute or so after sitting down, and the staff were friendly. However, the patties were cold and the burger itself was fairly average. Tastes about the same as HJ's. The chips were pretty good however. I would have given it 2 stars bases off the food, but the service brings it up to a 3. Doesn't live up to the hype. There are better local burger joints nearby, so I probably won't return.

Great alternative for burgers apart from the "main big chains" much better in fact than them! Has 2 drive through ordering sections with 2 speakers in each section so drive through moves quicker. All the burgers I tried were good & can customize any of their burgers. Two different patty types, normal(thin) & thick & juicey if your very hungry. A tad pricey to customize or for the thicker burger option though. OK deserts, great coffee. Also serve their own style chicken tenders. For first time buyers recommend to park and dine in as menu can be a little more then expected if new and be slightly daunting if new & trying to order from drive through.

Quick service from friendly staff. Just confused or misled about my order which was a Hawaiian combo. As i didn't want fries i was told i could choose onion rings in place of fries....then charged $2 extra. I couldn't understand the explanation why. The burger was delicious but one part of the bun wasnt lined up with the other part so eating it was messy. Certainly tasted better than some of the opposition burger chains.

After hearing a few good comments and reading the reviews we thought we'd finally try Carl's. Overall I think it was a miss for us. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad food, but there is really nothing that compels me to want to come back over the competition. The unlimited drinks are a nice touch and something unique over the others. I'd read some negative comments on the chips. I appreciated that they were unique and tasty. I can see how they might not have as much general appeal though as say McDonald's fries. The onion rings were better than Hungry Jacks, though ours were definitely too salty. Now on to the star of the show, the burgers. They were thoughtfully wrapped to be easy to handle, but sadly I had the opposite problem and found the packaging annoying to get into, my burger falling apart into a mess in the process. Look to the competition here. On a board, in a box etc wins every time. It stops that classic soggy bun that I got with my burger when you wrap hot food. Flavour-wise, I can best describe mine as "meh". Again, there is really stiff competition around here, not just from traditional fast food, but from some of the more gourmet burger options, like Nordburger or Grill'd. The burger I had is exactly the same price as Nordburger. As a meal, Carl's is a little cheaper with the chips and drink, but usually I wouldn't get the chips anyway. For the same money Nordburger is a clear winner. I would highly suggest studying them. They win on value, presentation and flavour. Even with expensive options like say Grill'd, they still offer something that makes me want to come back. Sadly my experience at Carl's lacked that.

Maybe I went on a bad day, but the whole wrapper of my burger had been touched by a greasy hand and was totally covered in a thin layer of greasy oil. The cheese was a cheese slice, I'm pretty sure and was tasteless. In Australia, they should change the cheese they use, because we like proper cheese on our burger, not a processed cheese slice. The meat and salad were both really great, so I'm torn. The bun was good but also covered in oil from someone's hand. Of course, it's a burger place, so you expect some oil, but not my whole burger box and bun covered in a layer of oil. I'd go again, just to give them a second chance.

Went there with my wife for the first time tonight thoroughly enjoyed the meal . Pleasant atmosphere and staff especially young Jarrod at the counter who was very helpful and gave us great service well done thankyou will definitely be back

Food was nice, staff polite, but rubbish bin outside has a round opening , trying to fit in rectangle tray of rubbish? not gd planning for future. Also tray holder above not big enough to fit large tray return, only small trays?
