The quality for the price is OUTSTANDING. Best steak I've had in all of Adelaide. The atmosphere is sophisticated and classy, as well as warm and wholesome. The staff are welcoming and will go above and beyond for you. I also very much recommend the buffet breakfast if you stay at the hotel as well.

The food was immaculate. And when I say this I mean it! We went to Coal Cellar + Grill for the first time to celebrate my 21st with family! We got a private room with a set menu for $75 per head which is reasonably priced seemings the options you get to choose out of! I recommend Coal Cellar + Grill for your next birthday or special event! This place feels very luxurious, the atmosphere is beautiful with low lights and an expensive feel. Food was quite good, the gnocchi was a little on the sweet side for their meat free main unfortunately. Really enjoyed their range of cocktails and the service was fantastic. Absolutely will be returning.

Excellent steak! Had a rare Angus striploin accompanied with jus that was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. A bit more S&P would have made it better. Shared a chimichurri, blue cheese sauce and fries with parmessan and truffle aioli. Chimichurri wasn't to my liking. I liked the blue cheese that had a sharper cheesier taste compared to others that are slightly sweeter and runnier. Fries was good and I didn't mind the truffle ailo but there was already too much of fat on my palate from my sides to include the aioli.

They offer really great services and delicious dishes with good presentations. Although the broccolini was a little bit too oily, the sauce was really nice. It was pretty spicy and matched with the broccolini perfectly. I really love their apple churros☺️ it is really unique and has crunchy texture. But personally, the garnish was not really matching with the apple churros. The medium rare beef was really good. The sauce matches with the taste of the beef making it more exciting to eat. The lamb was also great. I suggest that finishing the lamb before the dishes become cold. Otherwise the taste would be different and have a different taste which some people would not like. Overall, the dishes were really nice and it is definitely worth to have a visit. It was a great time to have meal here. Thank you😊

Not surprisingly a very nice place to dine in comfort and style. This place offers fine dining with table service. The grill restaurant definitely lives up to it’s name, the steaks are definitely the highlight. The wine list is never ending - it offers a bit of everything you can think of. This is definitely a place to wine & dine if celebrating a “special occasion” .

Visited this place just for a drink and a small bite. I asked the barman what's their signature cocktail and he offered the Charlie Chaplin. It was not on the menu but I'll tell you, was awesome! Also ordered 6 natural oysters and what stand out was the sauce. It seems a combination of fish sauce, chili, sugar, and lime. I think it's a sort of Asian sauce. Service was good and thank you to the barman who offered the Charlie Chaplin drink.

Grate food Great service .. excellent excellent atmosphere Great place... Food was nicely presented but lacked flavour. Prices abit high but barable. Staff were fantastic in the front of house, but lacked respect in the BOH. Had to sit there and watch a chef stuffing food in his mouth with his bare hands while we waited for ours and being foodies, seeing this, we felt highly unimpressed considering it was within the Hilton and would be considered fine dining with the prices to match. Came with a group and chose the feed me option because why wouldn't you. Entree was unique but probably the highlight with the pippies being a crowd favourite. This was followed by a Barramundi which I really enjoyed. Mains was unfortunately where this place lost points with both the pork and chicken being dry. Dessert was ok but no wowser. Overall, food is ok but not amazing at it's price point. Service was very good.

Great Restaurant at the Hilton Hotel. The food quality and attention to detail are matched by the excellent service. The tomahawk steak for two is a must try - and trust the waiter to select a great wine to go with it. The menu is extensive and they cater for dietary needs. The cocktail selection is good.

One of the most underrated restaurants for Australian steaks and modern- fine dining in Adelaide. Located detailed in Victoria Square (Tandanya), at the ground floor of the Hilton Hotel. The menu is ample but not confusing. Simple options perfected. The wine list and other liquors is expansive for those particular about their drinks. The service was excellent, as expected of a 5 star hotel.

My girlfriend and I went to coal cellar and grill for her 21st birthday, to say the customer service was amazing is an understatement. Monique (our Waiter) really looked after us and made us feel so welcome. My girlfriend loved it so much she took me back for my birthday the next week, and lucky enough we had Monique again, she even remembered our names and knew it was my birthday. Before we left the chefs and Monique really treated us and it was an experience like no other. I highly recommend dining here for the food, the service and especially the steaks.

We were lucky enough to get the private room at the front of the restaurant. The service was flawless. In fact it was beyond our expectation. We had a baby with us at a function and we were offered food for the baby that was not on the menu. We didn't expect that. She was very friendly and attentive. Food was very nice too.

Lets start with the service, the waitress was extremely friendly and attentive and made sure to check how our food is. All the food was great, the garlic bread was a bit too dense and thick but the flavour was on point. We ordered the 1kg tomahawk steak, there were little bits that were overcooked but that's to be expected with such a large piece of steak. Overall everything was great and we will definitely come back to try more!

Very helpful and engaged staff (some). Nothing against the location, but recommend you train all staff to be authentic in their interaction with diners and not just treat it as a job. A simple 'enjoy your meal' goes a long way. Spectacular mushroom sauce and broccolini.

I came here for my work Christmas party and we took advantage of the $25 Express Lunch deal. It was disappointing. I got the lentil dish and I felt ripped off. Even if I got a glass of wine, which I decided not to have, I still wouldn't have felt it was value for money. I honestly wouldn't have paid any more than $10 for the dish, and that was surely not a $15 glass of wine. So, value for money just isn't there. I might give it another go, this time for dinner, but I won't get my hopes up too much.

Worth every penny. Don’t get anything less than the 100 day old aged sirloin steak. It’s honestly the best piece of meat I’ve ever eaten. Cooked to perfection.
