Comida was excellent! Went for the feed me menu and got a selection of dishes. Small plates were delicious, however found the paella a tad dry and lacked a little flavour. Drove up to Hahndorf for coffee after an excellent family lunch at nearby Bridgewater. This place immediately caught our attention and as luck would have it, we found an off-street parking right outside! Very polite hostess took our orders and we had awesome beverages overlooking the busy main street. Good value for the time and money spent! Highly recommended 👌

Great atmosphere, especially courtyard space. We had the lunch menu, crusty and soft bread (thumbs up for that) entrees was delicious and came out timely. Unfortunately, mains took over 1 hour to get to us. Overall a pleasant experience.

Have been to Comida 4 times and loved the food, especially the Paella 😍 while overlooking the peaceful lush Gardens both daytime and night with the beautiful string lights strung across the trees. The Service and presentation is spot on also. Our last visit in mid Jan 2022 though was just a little disappointing. The signature dish Paella was not as tasty as previous times, the chicken sparse and the Paella oilier than usual. Maybe an off day for the Chef, or short staffed like everyone is suffering out there. We'll go back though and give it another go as we loved it previous times.

A welcoming looking restaurant which smells amazing as there are 2 large pans cooking paella near the entrance. That's the reason we walked in to make a booking for lunch the next day in June 2021. We ordered the "Chefs" 4 course shared menu ($55 per person) which included oysters, prawns, beef, lamb and 2 sides. I also ordered 1 sangria. All dishes tasted great except part of the lamb was a little too rare and fatty so we didn't finish it. However, the main issue was the wait - 30 minutes - 1 hour wait between courses, which is too long. It was also pricey for the food we got. If I were to go back, I would order dishes separately and not order the Chefs shared menu.

You get a modern, up-market dining experience at Spanish restaurant Comida. Warm tones inside and looking onto lush gardens outside there is an inviting energy wherever you get seated. The food and beverages are fantastic! Food is lovingly and thoughtfully prepared and the house-made beverages have been carefully considered. The kitchen uses the freshest ingredients and sources them from local farmers/producers. We ordered the vegetable paella, a raw zucchini salad and broccoli side dish. To drink we ordered a spritz and red whine sangria (they also have a lighter white available). Each dish arrived beautifully presented with vibrant colours you expect from Spanish cuisine. Each plate had distinctly different flavour profiles, but together made for a bright, reasonably light and zesty lunch. We enjoyed the mixup of textures on each plate and the combination of raw, blanched and slow cooked tender vegetables all three provided. Comida staff are friendly and helpful; happily adapted a dish for us to be nut free due to an allergy. Our dining experience at Comida was lovely. Everyone we’ve recommended them to has also come back with rave reviews. Perfect venue for a date, special occasion or work dinner. They even cater and host weddings.

I have just eaten the tastiest breakfast ever - and I travel a lot. Their Tortilla was great, but the extras of sourdough, onion and especially the greens and Australian herbs (fresh from their own garden) created a combination of flavours which were amazing! A not-to-be-missed restaurant amongst first class eateries in Hahndorf. My wife's Pan Con Tomate was very tasty as well, especially the jamon and perfectly poached egg - ideal as a lighter meal.

Just casually dropped by dinner here tonight. Service was excellent, wait staff is attentive. Food was average. Croquette was a bit bland. Seafood paella got an atypical taste, maybe too much dill to my liking, and probably we were one of the late customers so we got lots of scorched rice scrapped from the pan. Two of the dishes we ordered were a bit overpriced. $16 for 8 pieces of asparagus with some buttermilk dressing, and $22 for 3 small sized grilled prawns. Was expecting a bit more than that. Other than that, it's still an enjoyable dinner with good atmosphere.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? The staff at Comida are honestly some of the most incredible people we have ever met. My partner called at the start of May this year (2021) asking if it were possible to arrange a proposal at their venue, while we were on holiday. The staff were so excited they basically said 'leave it with us' and from that moment on, everything was organised, to perfection. We arrived that night, to a breathtaking private setting, in their fairytale garden, scattered with lights and candles. I was so overwhelmed I couldn't process what was happening, until my partner dropped to one knee. While we hugged (and maybe cried - just a little!) the team at Comida secretly took some photos - capturing one of the most precious moments of our life. We spent the night celebrating with my beautiful mum and dad, wine, delicious food (oh my goodness the desserts were to die for!) and then a late night port, which the staff suggested to drink on some beanbags with blankets, cuddled up under the stars, to take it all in. It was my favourite part of the night and a moment we will never forget. Thank you Comida. Words cannot describe how grateful we are.

If you’re looking for a fine dining experience this place ticks a lot of boxes. The variety and quality of ‘Spanish inspired’ dishes was very good. Of the dozen or so dishes we order the standouts were the chicken paella, croqueted and grilled broccoli. The ‘larger plates’ were disappointingly under seasoned and underwhelming. The service was good but what was disappointing was the overall hospitality considering the high meal prices. It was a very hot and still day, yet they chose to open up all the doors in the restaurant for “ventilation” (presumably so it could be considered an outdoor area for covid). When I pay good money to eat out I don’t want to be sweating the whole time. Upon entry they presumptuously brought over a bottle of pricey chilled bottled water but could only offer “warm” table/tap water. All things considered I think it would have been more appropriate to offer complimentary cold water.

The tapas is great, I would recommend getting a few different dishes and sharing a paella between two people. The coffee was tasty and judging by the lunch quality the breakfast is probably good too!

Comida ‘s paella. We tasted the vegetarian one on the day we went. Great food and friendly ladies. Ordered octopus tapas and mussel tapas. Really recommend to try the mussel tapas. Although it’s a bit different from the traditional paella, it’s still tasted good.

This place is very inviting and has lovely decor. We were disappointed with the food though, with the paella rice being so crunchy we almost broke our teeth and the expensive carafe of white sangria basically just wine and orange juice. The Potatoes Bravas were exactly like the ones we had in Spain, S was the flavour of the paella.

We chose Comida for our Valentines dinner last night as we have previously dined at this amazing restaurant and it's become one of our favourite local eats. The Flamenco show was absolutely incredible! The food and sangria were authentic, delicious, filling and not leaving us wanting at all. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive. Amazing service, yummy food, gorgeous setting. They accommodated our mums group beautifully, laid out picnic rugs and put up umbrellas for us on a weekday morning. 1st Anniversary Flamenco 3 course dinner Had an awesome night with great food and fantastic entertainment. We were seated on the lovely deck overlooking the beautifully lit gardens. 3 Tapas style entrees were delicious with my favourites being croquets and to my surprise the raw king fish. Main meal was the chefs famous paella and dessert was delicious gluten free churros that were light and fluffy with chocolate sauce. All meals were very well presented. My friend is vegan and that was well address with delicious options for her. Entertainment was great with some very talented flamenco dancers and guitarist. Service was great and I look forward to the next event.

I can not tell you how refreshing it is to walk into a Spanish restaurant and look to my right to see Paella 🥘 pans cooking away as soon as you walk in the door!!! The smell and the atmosphere, that's the real treat here! The food was exceptional! Having to choose from a limited menu didn't bother us at all due to the covid-19 restrictions because it's was all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It was real spanish food, made extremely well!!! Comida Hahndorf is a Spanish Restruant at 100c Main St (opposite Hrerford Ave), Hahndorf. This has indoor + outdoor dining. The spacious modern restruant allows the customers to watch the chefs preparing the meals. Outside r manicured gardens + lawns to walk in. A well with water is in the driveway and displays the buildimg techniques of the turn of the century. A must see place.

This place is definitely worth going out of your way for - situated inside the markets, this spanish tapas joint is producing some really amazing things - the croquetas and fried pork with manchego were all we could fit in as this was a second lunch. The paella is ready from about 1230pm/1pm each day, they serve spanish beer and everything is made fresh . Felt like I was back in Barcelona!
