Great place, happy to go back. Wouldn't get the gnocci again. With the 'home made' claim on the menu, I was expecting light airy pillows of pasta. What I received was dense, heavy and chewy. Good gnocci is a thing of beauty, however, you will not get that here. Aside from the gnocci, the service was excellent, the atmosphere is interesting and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu or doing one of their 'feed me' options which I think would really suit the vibe of the venue. Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that they serve espresso in a mug?

Delicious Italian cuisine. We shared the eye fillet steak and gorgonzola gnocchi with a caprese salad. Light fluffy pillows of yuminess and steak cooked perfectly. Staff was excellent and friendly. Highly recommended.

Est Ovest Osteria it is a great Italian restaurant in the heart of the city. All ingredients served are really fresh and made traditionally, as it is in Italy. They have a very cozy and pleasurable atmosphere. All staff members are super friendly and helpful, doing everything they can to make sure you are comfortable. I also would like to cheers the chefs for the amazing food. They have some really good Italian deserts that you must try. We tried a risotto and a spaghetti carbonara, and both were simply amazing!!! Next time we will try pizzas and I will update the post.

Extremely delicious pizza. Very authentic, and cooked to perfection. The pizza toppings were very well balanced. Service is very friendly and attentive. The whole team did a great job during a busy lunch time service. We used the EatClub app to take our kids out for a more extravagant lunch than we could normally afford. It was probably the best restaurant we've visited through EatClub and we're looking forward to coming back (sans kids).

I've been here a couple of times and every time I go there I've had a great experience. The team is very friendly and accommodating. Their food is just amazing. Starting with their pizza that is perfectly cook, then the carbonara which is the best one I've had, and ending it with Nutella pizza that is so good that I can eat all of it. Overall, it's my favourite Italian place, and will be back with more friends.

We came in for the “Mamma is Cooking” banquet and everything was perfect. The staff were phenomenal and they went above and beyond to service all our dietary requirements. Don’t get me started on the food, everything was delicious, from the arancini to the pizza with chilli oil, and the nutella pizza. WOW! Exceptional value for money and well spaced out. Est Ovest is as authentic as an Italian tavern can get! They serve some of the best espresso in the city, their menu is divine as is the food. The staff are very welcoming and are knowledgeable about the menu. The aromas that waft about outside and around inside along with the decor and the staff really make you feel like you are in Italy. What an "escape" whilst you're sipping your coffee or drink! They are licenced so you can have your favourite drink, an Amaretto maybe? Having lunch there was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It took me back to recent holiday so I will certainly revisit Est Ovest Osteria again and again. I hope you will enjoy the place as much as I did, cheers!

Celebrated my Daughter's 1st Holy Communion at Est Ovest recently. EST were able to accommodate 35 of us at relatively late notice and amid Covd-19 restrictions delivered an easy going afternoon with amazing food with the Pappardelle Boscaiola and Fritto Misto among some of the high quality food dished out. They do bang on pizzas as well! Would happily return again and again.

Lovely service from the older Italian man, very accommodating with the menu and great suggestions. The pizza was proper pizza! Thin base, wood oven cooked and minimal toppings. The gnocchi is to die for! Melts in your mouth and beautiful burnt butter and sage sauce. I am definitely going back for more!

Can be crowded and when the new hospital across the road is finished in late 2019 it might be tricky to get a table. Coffee are usual price $3.50-4.50 depending on size and type.

I park my car above usually and dont stop by. I always notice that a few coppers from across the road stop for a coffee. I finally came for lunch and Wow was the puzzs good! This caught me by surprise. We had a seafood pizza, a vegetarian a meaty pizza and one with prosciutto and rocket on top. All were amazing. I cant wait to organise another lunch at this place and sample the rest of the menu. I reccommend this place to anyone and to get in before the hospital opens up because surely they will be busy then.

Regrettably I can't comment on the lunches and dinners as i haven't been. What i can tell you is the coffee is very good and they have a lovely breakfast menu. A standout breakfast item would be the ricotta pancakes.

In the short while Est Ovest has been open, their customer base has grown very quickly. Great coffee and good honest food is their fare. Most evenings the restaurant is full and definitely ring and book for a guaranteed seat. Their wine list has has a mix of McLaren Vale and imported Italian wines, with Serafino and Magleri being prominent.
