Good flavours but the chicken was very dry in both the chicken satay fries as well as in the pad thai. Cute little restaurant with fantastic service.

After a long day and early evening at the Fringe we popped in here and nabbed a table pretty easily. The service here was fantastic, upbeat and genuine. We started with the popcorn cauliflower which was addictive and could’ve just eaten that all night. Loved the lemongrass brisket (it might seem weird to eat it with a side of fries in a Thai restaurant but hell why not). Crispy pork belly was stunning. Best thing is you could eat heartily here and it won’t cost hundreds. Can’t wait to return.

We ordered few items tonight Chilli hot dog with chicken, Satay Chicken burger and Loaded fries with Thai curry.
PS: only uploaded picture of hotdog as it was our first item to try and after that we got lost in taste and forgot to click more pictures 😬
The food is filled with beautiful flavours and is very filling. The chicken patty used was very different from usual and tasty. Price wise the portion and taste also do justice.
I guess they have successfully married the East with West (thier tag line).😂
Five stars from us. 🙏

Made a last min reservation for 9 people and and arrived 10 min late (called to advise I was running late). The chefs and staff were all brilliant. Welcoming and the food was a 10. My plan is to become a regular here! Highly recommended.

Fire x Soi 38 has a fun fresh take on Thai cuisine. We couldn't stop eating the popcorn cauliflower and the beef massuman roti toastie was unlike anything we had ever tried before. Wonderfully attentive staff made this a really memorable meal!

Fantastic little restaurant! Went there with my partner and some friends. The food was amazing!! The staff were very friendly and the service was great! What more can you ask for? 💕

Good value for money and you can actually get a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night. The cauliflower curry is the best. Wish they had a few more cocktails.

Best Thai food we've had for a very long time (perhaps since we lived in Bangkok) - zingy flavours full of Thai spices, not the sweetened dishes you find at many Thai restaurants catering for western palates. And then the service.. super friendly, efficient staff who did everything they could to make this a memorable night. Thank you - we'll be back soon!

Amazing food and amazing service! Great vegan options and quite possibly the best Thai green curry I’ve EVER had. Everything is so fresh and bursting with flavour, I will be back!

The first time I went to Soi 38 on Pultney was 4-5 years ago; it was authentic and delicious. I went back twice after that with friends and each time was DISAPPOINTED. I'm of Laos heritage and have grown up with Thai/Laos food in my home so I know good Thai/Laos food when I eat it. I did the feed me the 2nd time with the papaya salad to start us off. The level of spice was so hot I couldn't taste anything else for the next two courses - and I can handle spice! THEN the very young caucasian waitress tried to tell ME (an SE Asian woman) it was meant to be that spicy....... I thought I'd give it another opportunity and went again with a friend who wanted to go. I asked the waitress what we should order between green curry or stir fry. She said they made the curry paste in house so definitely go with the Curry.... when I ate it, all I could taste was coconut cream....tonight I gave it ANOTHER shot and ordered through ubereats: papaya salad, pork and greens with rice... No rice came and the "traditional" papaya salad now barely has any spice or flavour (can't taste the fish sauce that is meant to be in traditional papaya salad). Also the prices for the dishes are not worth it. Three stars is for the quality of ingredients and the service (to a degree). The food however falls off the mark and I've given it more than enough chances to prove me wrong so I feel this review is valid. Hopefully their new restaurant is better...

really fun and funky venue, super friendly staff and a great menu with loads of gluten free options. Popcorn cauli was especially delish! 🥳🥳🥳

I was disappointed with the food. Having read such good reviews, I was surprised. We popped in for a quick meal. The service was slow, the hotdogs dry and really not good value for money. A pity!

The food was fantastic - the popcorn cauli and the wings in sticky sauce were so incredible. The staff were also super lovely and helpful 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

We went for the eggplant roti toastie and were not disappointed but also had the popcorn cauliflower- literally the best I’ve ever had
So delicious

I'm no stranger to pad thai and curries, but I can confidently say that the pad thai here easily the best I've ever had. The beef masaman curry was also absolutely packed with flavour! We tried quite a large selection of the menu and cannot WAIT to try the rest! A very easy 5 stars!

It was our first time at Fire x Soi 38 today and we will certainly be coming back! The food was flavoursome (we had chicken Pat Thai and crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli), the service was great.
