Nice and busy place with good food and service. The first try wasn’t a good experience, but I enjoyed the following ones pretty well. Try crab pasta which has strong cheese flavor and the smoked salmon is a healthy and yummy choice.

Quite nice for casual dining, alone or with friends, either indoors or outside (European style). As the name suggests, the cuisine is traditional Italian with good serves though a little expensive I thought. It was busy and a little noisy when I was there but with a nice bustling atmosphere. 3.8 stars in my opinion- not quite 4. The pizzas did look good and I’ll probably get a take away one before I leave Adelaide.

$37 for a schnitty seems a bit exorbitant... Went to this place for a meal, got a schnitty which was on the menu for $27. Asked to swap the salad for roast veggies and have gravy on top. Went to pay at end and turns out you get charged $5 for swapping something that elsewhere on the menu costs the same price, and you get charged $5 for a bit of overly salty gravy on the side. Food was overall ok but not worth that.

Staff were super friendly and we managed to get a table even though we didn’t book. We got arancini balls to start which were absolutely amazing! For my main I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli in a Napoletana sauce. The sauce was nice but quite basic and tasted like a jar sauce I would use at home. My friend had the pizza which was great.

Well my friends & I think that they've changed the ingredients of their Gourmet Thai Chicken Pizza, not for the better. We've had it before & it used to be a stand out pizza, but not anymore. The use of chicken breast is a huge mistake, as it's tasteless & dry, plus it was lacking onion. The Gourmet Italian had a better flavour, but the proscuitto should've been thinner. The service was good.

Service was a little lacking. The restaurant seemed understaffed considering only two servers on a moderately busy Wednesday night. The food itself (4 orders of pasta) was excellent, but took about 40 minutes to prepare. The picture is of the Puttanesca with penne.

This place has possibly the largest menu I have ever come across. It was actually hard to decide on what to eat due to there being so many options. With plenty of seating both indoor and out it was easy to get a table without a reservation. Located in the main strip of the famous "malls balls" meant it was easy to get to, with street parking in all the surrounding areas. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. And the prices were a perfect reflection of dollar value. I ordered the bruschetta for a starter and spaghetti marinara as a main. The meal portions were very reasonable, I left feeling so full. Overall aside from the meal sizes, prices and options, the food was amazing. It did not disappoint at all. I left as one happy customer. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to eat either at lunch or dinner time. It's the perfect spot for someone who doesn't want to be limited with a certain cuisine. Ideal for a group of people with various tastes. Such a great restaurant.

Second time visiting and the steak is still not properly cooked. Both of the visit is not at peak hours. Lasttime the steak was not cooked evenly, and this time the steak was toooo overcooked (i ordered medium). Others were ok.

On a very late Saturday evening this restaurant's team welcomed us and every other person arriving very well (for what it's worth, it was midnight and they were still full steam!). Furthermore, they were all the time asking how everything was going. On top of these, the food was decent and the size was huge! Most places were shut on Good Friday but San Giorgio wasn’t we ordered four pizzas for delivery as our friends live in town. I asked for no cheese on one of the pizzas (as one of the clan can’t have dairy), they rang back as the bases have a little milk in it. Now that is customer service, even better the pizzas were delivered really fast and they were excellent. If I need a pizza in town I will definitely be heading back to San Giorgio’s. Food was good and reasonably priced for the amount we received. The only thing I would complain about is the service. One person in our group ordered a chicken caesar salad and they brought it out without the chicken. The waitress argued that there was chicken in the salad when it clearly wasn’t. She sheepishly returned after speaking to the people in the kitchen and told us they had in fact forgot to add chicken. We had to wait 20 minutes for the rest of the salad to be brought out.

I had the chicken parma and it was really tasty. The schnitzel was delicious and had the right balance of crunch without being burnt. The cheese and sauce also added flavour and tasted fresh. The restaurant was quite busy but I didn't struggle to find a seat - I can imagine that you may need to book during busier periods. Staff were attentive and polite.

We went with the chorizo pizza and enjoyed it's deliciousness with a pot of peppermint tea. Kids meal had a snitzel in a bowl on top of chips, no wear to cut it. Maybe suggest to supply side plate or pre-cut snitzel before plating. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are lovely and we have never tasted food this amazing before. We highly recommend the lasagna (it’s even better than my Nonna’s and that’s saying something!). The seafood platter was also delicious, along with the chicken and avocado, risotto funghi, chicken parmigiana and penne bolognese. The serving size is very generous. You won’t leave feeling hungry!

Decent place, but lacks the finishing touches for the price charged. We had the steak, and although cooked well, the quality was not great. Service was a little too eager and although the place smells amazing the atmosphere needs work. Try removing the TVs and installing some sound baffles for busy periods.

Fantastic food so close to the Mall or the parklands that always seems to have a table free. Other places come and go but San Giorgio has seemingly been there since they put Rundle Street down. Our favourites are pizza (any pizza, they're all good) and a chilly bottle of moscato to wash it all down with. My go to restaurant for pizzas and pastas. Love the mexicana pizza and penne alla pana (chicken pasta in cream sauce). I have been a regular for many years and have always been served well. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors but can get busy over weekends or special days. Food quality is superb as well as the service. Pricing I personally find ridiculously high and I do hope they improve.

Service was excellent but it really lacks the ambience of some of its peers. One thing it really does have going for it is that you rarely have to book, something you'll need to do if you head further into town on a Friday night.

But what pushed it up to 5 stars instead of 4 was that I was asked if I needed a straw rather than being given one automatically... Do we really need straws?? No not when sitting down. Two old Italian friends visiting Adelaide for the Fringe Festival and needing some good Italian food! San Giorgio Ristorante produced a delicious spaghetti marinara on oil/garlic base and my friend devoured a a gourmet marinara pizza with great satisfaction. All this washed down with a bottle of high quality red! Sweets included fresh baked apple pie and 'real Italian coffee'. Why 5 stars? Food was sensational as was the friendly and professional service by Katie and Dahlia - so refreshing to meet staff who love their job and the people they work for. I work near the internode building on grenfell street. I had a craving for pasta but i only get 30 minutes for lunch. I went here explained the issue. They had my pasta served in a sealable take away container and supplied me with take away utensils and a bag shoild i need to run. However they had it out fast enough that i was able to finish with enough time to spare. Wonderful place with fast service and friendly staff.

Fairly decent pizza and they are open until late on weekends. It's always a great place to stop for a feed after a night out. The service could be improved as many of the staff do not speak the best english. My favourite dish is the Chicken Aasparagus, which is delicious. So overall San Giorgios is a fairly good place for the proce however they could improve on certain things.
