The dessert at Shibui is very well presented. As for flavour, they are well balanced, not being too sweet, or rich, although the raspberry dessert could have a bit more intensity for certain elements. I also had a taro latte and that was quite nice. The macaroons tasted good, but apart from the biscoff flavoured macaroon, the others had a very soft texture, unlike the usual chewy consistency of a macaroon.
K. c.
Flashy dessert creations, MasterChef quality. Pricey, yes so will save for special occasions only. No sharing allowed either or drinks only, everyone must order 1 dish each so difficult with bring children.
K.
Wow, what a great dessert bar.
Really enjoyed this experience.
It’s great to see well put together venues with attention to detail.
The staff were friendly, passionate and helpful.
The drinks and sweets menu was plentiful and seemed to be something for everyone. Except this on a diet.
Coffee was good
The amenities were clean and Covid requirements easy and in line with current requirements.
We will definitely be adding this one to our list of places to return to and will keep an eye on the socials for events.
Get in my early as it tends to get busy and you will be waiting outside.
Thanks again and look forward to returning again soon.
🍮 🍨 🧁 👏🏼 😃

Best dessert I've had in a long time. Loved the vegan option as well.
The Mango Pudding was incredible and my partner absolutely loved the Sticky Date Pudding!
K. P.
The dessert was out of this world. These desserts are a work of art. Highly recommend The pavlova it has a perfect blend of sweet and fruity topped with a sorbet.
J. W. J.
Omgggg This is ultimate dessert place… from What I tried 1 most recommended will be Chocolate lava tart (name might not be accurate but you can find on the menu easily) 2 will be The Raspberry one and 3 Mango takes the third place, according to me btw…. This is must try ❤️❤️❤️
M. J.
Modern and bright open spaced dessert bar. The desserts are quite high classed in terms of having many components on the plate. Not to mention very sophisticatedly well presented. Hence it comes at a hefty cost too. Its like fine dining dessert. But worth the taste buds if you can appreciate it. They change their menu every season as well and also have pop up stalls in various events, serving their Thai milk tea ice cream, which is my fave. Red skin ice cream is also a signature. Mochi donuts are also really good.

Dessert at @shibui.dessertbar 😍
This place had fun vibes with helpful and kind staff!
I have seen this place all over Insta and at the fringe as well as in Rundle mall so I though if head to their Dessert Bar and give it a try!
We enjoyed the food however some of the dishes were a little bland in taste but beautifully presented!
My favourite was the Mango pudding 🥭then the Eaton mess🍓 followed by the Chocolate lava tart🍫

K. W.
amazing quality desserts! highly recommend the apple pie, eton mess and lava cake. the apple pie was beautifully created and the vanilla bean ice cream was one of the best i’ve ever had. the eton mess was fresh and full of flavour.
the lava cake was creamy and boastful with flavour…each element complimented eachother with the strawberries and gold flakes and those colourful flowers. 10/10 would recommend
J. J.
Staff are so lovely. Desserts are also too pretty to eat. Although there are a lot of romantic couples sharing desserts it is also a family friendly atmosphere.
Street parking can be a little tricky at times.

A really nice dessert bar! The presentation was beautiful, and both desserts were very tasty. A tad on the pricey side, and the portion sizes are small, but the service was fantastic and it came out very quickly. I'll be keen to see what they have on their menu next!
R. R.
Great little place to grab dessert. Prices are high at around $20ish but I would say they are worth it. Would recommend for anyone looking to impress a date.
A. L.
Delicious desserts and good service.. Priced on the high side (avg $20 per dish). Didn't enjoy their lava choc tart as it was more salty than sweet which was disappointing as I came for sweets! But to their credit they offered to swap the dessert.
A. W.
It's really packed. But, the moment you enter the place, it smells like honeycomb. The menu sounds interesting like the raspberry candy opera cake and some items might sound just normal and boring. All items looks really nice. The place is really packed so the service isn't the best even though they are really kind. Recommended for couples, though it is not a very romantic place. Presentation is simply amazing like other dessert places. The etom mess is not usually this good either. It tastes like straight up candy bar. The lychee also pops in your mouth, its like juice inside with a outer soft layer. However, the mango pudding is too confusing. It tastes great and all, but the amount of flavour is too confusing for my taste, at some point i could even taste saltiness from it even though it's sweet and sour. The mango flavour crushed ice is very sweet, so it's a bit underwhealming when you taste the mango pudding because it's less sweet. It's like a burger, you have to have bits of everything. I loved the fruitiness of the dish. Absolute flavour heaven.
m. w.
Love the dessert here! Ordered the Eton mess and wanted more even though I usually hate meringues. Very light and lychee flavour. My only qualm was that the price was a bit much - $22 for a dessert! Would definitely come back though. Pity they don't open during the day...
y.
Great place, amazing desserts, very good service , and friendly staff.
A. S.
Fine dining dessert bar - yummy, decadent, delicious, just enough sweet to be called dessert, yet rich with beautiful flavours and amazing taste. Definitely will get you chatting and talking with each mouthful!
A. V.
This spot is definitely a must go! Come loaded $$$ cause your not only paying for just a dessert but perfection and pride on a plate. This is truly where the dessert looks just as good as it tastes. Well done team!
P. M.
An amazing dessert bar. Great and tasty options, though sometimes it just feels a little too fancy to me, and a bit pricey. But I cannot fault anything specifically if you love a good dessert bar, I just secretly love my cheap soft serves
S. A.
The dessert here was amazing!! The coffee was also great! The atmosphere is really nice, and it’s a perfect date spot 💘
G. L.
Nice place for late night grammable desserts. Queued outside for a table for about 25 minutes at 10pm, and they served me the wrong drink. Otherwise, not a bad experience.
E. B.
Amazing dessert shop with delicious desserts make sure to come early to get a spot as it gets quite crowded at night.
T. A.
We had the Eton Mess after having dinner at another palce. It had mango, mango sorbet with dragonfruit, passion fruit jam and lots more. It was more than enough for 5 of us. We were glad that we were able to order 1 dish for 5 people in this covid restricted period. The service was good, the food was okay. The mango Sorbet felt like it was bought frozen from Woolworths.
D. T.
Ita alright, quite expensive for what you get. Way too sweet for Asians, they cater more the Australian standard. So if you like sugar with a side of mango, it's great. Otherwise try somewhere else.
L.
Dessert was delicious! Friendly staff and the house ice tea is a must
A. G.
The food is both visually appealing and a wonderful sensory experience. There were so many elements in the dishes I tried and every mouthful was absolutely delicious! Nice and cosy ambience, great for couples or special occasions.
C. M.
Absolutely delicious and beautiful looking dessert! I was definitely not disappointed with the amount of flavour and texture to this dish. I had the apple pie and my friend had eton mess, we both loved it!
Q. W.
Was planning to go there from long time ago. Finally tried the dark choc fondant. Love it so much! Haven’t tried the others but I bought macaroons of each flavour, they looks so pretty. Felt fall in love with the dark choc cake. Macaroons aren’t tasted as good as I expected. Maybe lose .5mark because of this.
J. h.
Fantastic dessert store. Look great taste amazing
M. L. W.
Excellent service. Great dessert. Overall very good experience.
G. Z.
Such happiness being able to get the desserts we used to get from the old Devour in Prospect. Shibui is a beautiful place inside, the desserts are made to order and they're 10/10. The biggest problem is deciding what to order because everything on the menu is amazing!
A. N.
This place is definitely special with high quality desserts on offer that are absolutely divine. The owner started up the well known Devour patisserie and continues to present unique and delicious desserts. Well worth the wait if there are queues. Plenty of street parking available surrounding the venue. I really enjoyed these mochi donut things
N. N.
The presentation was awesome but the dessert was average for the price.
C. W.
The desserts are amazing. One of the best dessert bar in Adelaide. Definitely will come back again. Highly recommend.
S. D.
Always delicious! If you need a sugar fix this is the place for it!:) I don't think there's enough Yuzu in Adelaide so to find they have a Mango and Yuzu cake ( second pic ) it was a HAD TO!
F. C.
Desserts are very pretty. Taste good as well. Ordered bombe alaska. The tableside flambe adds to the experience.
C. C.
Lovely place with delicate desserts to offer. Refreshing, a delight on the palate. If you can’t decide what to have, go for their $20 pp. and they will bring you a range of their desserts (about 5-6 different kinds). I will go back again.
M. M.
Very relaxing place to grab a dessert with friends. Good music vibes. Friendly staff. The dessert was great, as pictured. Only gripe I have is that the thick shake was very much a milkshake. Overall though still very good.
V. C.
Be sure to book ahead or be prepared to wait for a table. They have a waitlist and will call you when your table is ready so all good.
We had dessert & taro latte which was surprisingly delicious. Will definitely be back again.
C. P.
If you're not a desert person, this place might just change that. It's amazing how these folks manage to innovate on the desert front. And, something that I really appreciate is that their menu is not overly sweet. Rather, each desert's hero theme is wonderfully articulated.
A must try if you're in the neighbourhood.
k. m.
The plates looked stunningly beautiful and the taste was to die for. The place is quite small and busy which makes it loud in there once filled with people its hard to have a conversation. The atmosphere was beaming though and the desserts came out super quick. If you look them up on their facebook page they have a secret dessert menu. Amazing place!
E. C.
Incredible desserts, well worth the visit (and the wait). Staff were really friendly and great service. The food was incredible. Our group ordered three different desserts and they were all amazing.
G. P.
Hands down the best dessert bar in Adelaide. The only catch is there can be a wait and they do not take reservations - however it is worth the wait! Their desserts are quite rich and can comfortably be shared between couples.
Their menu changes quite frequently and be sure to ask about any secret menu items.
J. A.
Delicious desserts. Say no more. Cakes, macarons, dessert bowls, this place has got it all. Flavours range from Nutella, red rippers, pandan to biscoff.
M. S.
Incredible desserts both the chocolate lava tart and baked cheesecake dish were absolutely divine. Amazing balance of flavours. Service was great. Was a little disappointed with their dark hot chocolate, wasn't very hot and seemed like a regular hot choc instead of a dark one. Apart from that everything else was amazing.
C. L.
The desserts are beautifully presented but portions could be more generous for the price tag. I was not a fan of the sorbet/ fruity dessert, but the chocolatey one was a winner!
S.
Tried several plates here. All taste good. Decor is good. A little bit pricey. Poor service.
s. e.
Neat and tidy place... very friendly staff.. variety of desserts but not a lot of choice.... moderately expensive
R. T.
Great food, cool vibe and friendly staff. This was our first dessert bar experience. We had the sticky date and the eton mess. They were nice but didn't quite hit the spot as we were hoping for. Would recommend a visit to try for yourself.
O. Y. N.
Delicious dessert hangout where the old favorites have a modern twist. Difficult to decide what to choose! Have been there a few times with an evolving menu, never had the same thing twice. Popular spot for youths and YoPros with great 2000s and contemporary R&B.
M. M.
A—class dessert!
Excited to try everything on their menu 💕
M. C.
Excellent dessert bar! Fantastic desserts, modern and cool decor. Would highly recommend…
S. L.
Become my favorite dessert in Adelaide. Love chocolate fondant💕Donut sundae is a little bit sweet for me. Mandarin cheesecake is quite special. It is flowing.
B. D.
Very cosy place to have fusion dessert. It is very special but not my taste, I had a peach cheesecake, very nice presentation but I still prefer my cake in a piece rather than crumbled. Matcha fried ice-cream a bit over priced. Definitely worth to try tho!!!!
M. B.
A gem of place for high quality desserts. We had an enjoyable experience. Wilk return soon.
T. L.
Desserts are visually pleasing however taste-wise they're not worth the price. Coffee was nice.
A. H.
From the great mind that brought you Devour cafe, Quang is back with shibui dessert bar.
Old favorites are back with red skin ice cream. Located in a quieter end of the Chinatown district, Shibui is making noise and drawing in the hustle and bustle of Adelaide. This dessert bar is just what Adelaide needed to keep the night life fresh and exciting.
Leave your partners for something sweeter. You won't be disappointed!
G. A.
A very popular business based on queuing and wait times to get a table. The desserts taste as good as they look. Presently beautifully, every spoonful is very moreish. Service friendly albeit a little slow. Well worth the wait though. Takeaways include macarons, honeycomb and popcorn.
L.
Short but concise menu, and absolutely sensational. The attention to detail, customer service and the flavour profiles are among the best in Adelaide.
X. P.
Not bad, but completely not worth the price when one cheese cake cost $18 and literally no service at all. Not a joyful experience and will not visit again.
S. M.
A M A Z I N G ! The food is beautifully made, colourful, well presented and tastes like heaven on a plate! We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!
P. W.
Loved it because the desserts were full of texture and not overly sweet!
M. S.
the best gluten free donuts i’ve ever had! amazing dessert! can’t reccomend this more 🙌🏽
M. W.
Amazing desserts and friendly staff. Great tea selection, no beer or wine to choose from
N. C. J.
Nice place, well-plated desserts with prices on the higher end of the spectrum. A good place to soothe that sweet tooth craving.
G. L.
Artistic and delicious!
Busy, and a tad on the expensive side, but worth the visit!
Apple pie was divine!
B. H.
Delicious dessert! The coffee and service was also good. 5 stars because of the heavy cutlery.
a. v.
Yummy desert's with a good variety to choose from. Staff is friendly and approachable

desserts were amazing!!!!!!!! absolutely loved drinks, apart from the taro latte tho. one of the best desserts places in SA for sure
A. M.
We only had a small window of time, but needed a sweet fix! The vegan chocolate cake and coffee we ordered was made promptly and expertly. The cake was delicious and extremely well presented. Thank you for providing a delicious vegan option. The coffee was also delicious and very rich tasting.
L. S.
Very delicious Apple pie 🥧 different from the typical ones too
M. l.
Fantastic dessert! Fabulous presentation. A more sophisticated dessert bar than your regular, that was surprisingly well priced. However it did lack a bit of ‘vibe’, due to the open plan and white lighting. In full, I’d definitely go back.
L. B.
Amazing dessert bar, I keep coming back and the appeal doesn’t wear off. Service is great and quite fast, despite always being crazy busy! Book ahead if you can.
J. T.
They do tasting menu now. 4 plates for 2 ppl. Great date spot.
T. J.
The taro milkshake and red skin white mousse was really good.
J. M.
Amazing desserts! Will be back.
S. K.
Amazing desserts and shakes are on another level.
B. G.
A reasonble selection of deserts. Great coffee
A. Q.
Presentation: to die for.
Taste: ahhhmazing!
Price: a little too much.
Service time: a little too long, but worth it.
C. B.
This place was a delight. Limited choice of desserts which I like because it made you choose things you might not ordinarily try and it didn’t disappoint. The food quality was great and the look and feel of the dessert bar is very nice. I would highly recommend a visit.
K. L.
Dessert is good, little bit pricey then expected.
A. C.
Great menu and service. The family loved it!
B. K.
Beautifully presented desserts that taste delicious. We went on a Tuesday night at 8pm and found it to be mostly empty. The yuzu tart, strawberry and cream bombe alaska, chocolate fondant, and the passionfruit brownie were all very tasty. There were no complaints from the four of us - the flavours were all on point and the service was good. We will be returning customers.
T. O.
Wow.
K. H.
Agree with several reviews saying it looks better than it taste, not saying it wasn't nice. We had the tasting plate where they offer you 4 smaller serves of what's available. They need some different types of desserts, coz after a while everything tasted all too sweet.
However, it's a nice cosy place to bring your partner.
K. N. N.
There are alot to try in their menu, we chose the banquet for $20 each for 5 people. We got , 5 or 6 different kinds of desserts. Unique tastes. Prices are a little high, but the quality is quite worthy for these. Really crowded as the store opens with certain schedules, should check beforehand. Highly recommend place to try in Adelaide.
L. N.
Fantastic range of desserts. Always a good choice for a late night treat.
V. Y.
Dessert was a little too sweet for me but I loved the coffee!
T. P.
Delicious, never had a bad experience here
M. F.
Love this place!
The desserts are very good and well balanced, not very sweet and it has many elements in it.
So far the best dessert I have had at shibui was the mango pudding.
I would also recommend the macarrons!
The service is great, fast, staff are very friendly.
The space is clean, well organised and cozy.
L. N.
Tried their donuts drizzled with condensed milk... best dish on the menu I think! It had a yummy chewy texture and is absolutely mouth watering! Will come back just for that!
J. L.
Friendly, fast service, and as always, amazing desserts and coffee!
D. B.
Banana cake shall never taste the same! This place is a sweet-tooth's heaven. 🍰
C.
Best Coffee in South Australia after 5pm. Amazing service and great desserts. Not a place to go if you want your dessert to look like a children's rollercoaster ride, more upper class with thought out intricate flavours.
S. H.
Very friendly staff, delicious desserts and very nice coffee
P. S.
The desert was amazing the honey comb and malteser milk shake leave you wanting more
It was my 1st time there the staff where friendly and I can honestly say it had a funky yet relaxed vibe to it.
I'd definitely recommend anyone goes and tries it out even of you come in from overseas.
J. U.
I'm ALWAYS satisfied by the expertly balanced flavours of the dishes here, and the staff are as sweet as the desserts. Truly my happy place. Highly recommend!
B. C.
Nice small place that provides a small selection of deserts and fantastic thickshakes. It is not a cheap place but the presentation and service is very good.
p. w.
Waiting sucks but well worth it when you are seated. Most of the desserts I've tried make the tastebuds tingle :)

Everything is made in house. Staff are super kind. Place is beautiful and warmly. Deserts are small but very worth it, we couldn't finish ours.
T. P.
Fabulous dessert and service. We walked in without reservation on a Valentine day but was helped to get a seat and try their delicious dessert and drinks. Highly recommended.
Q. N.
Sleek and modern and had a nice selection of desserts. The donut sundae was great but the honeycomb was a tad burnt and bitter but everything else was delicious.
T. N.
Tried 3 different deserts. The donuts i had were fantastic. The other 2 desserts were meh.
A. A.
Delicious desserts and unique flavours. All the desserts here are a piece of art.

B. H.
Good but incredibly expensive. Nice place to share a dessert with someone!
D. S.
Beautifully plated desserts with interesting textures to the many elements on the plate
A. S.
Food looks amazing and it is always great service, however it’s a little tasteless. I love how they have amazing vegan options too!
M. C.
Tasty desserts - always a special treat! Service is always quite fast. Staff are friendly enough.

Such intricate desserts

Expensive, but fun for a one off experience. They light the swiss meringue on fire around the dish. Definately a highlight.

(Translated) The stall is very beautiful and very good, but all the desserts are very sweet and greasy after eating. The taro latte tastes quite light and a bit disappointed. I won’t visit again if it doesn’t match the taste.
(Original)
擺攤很漂亮很好拍,但所有甜點都很甜吃完很膩口,芋頭拿鐵味道蠻淡有點失望,不符合口味不會再訪

(Translated) It's too sweet, but the tableware and desserts are very innovative, and the menu changes every quarter. The special dessert is worth a try, foreigners will like it, not suitable for Asians, you have to eat the kind with insulin😨
(Original)
太甜了,但是餐具和甜品都很有新意,菜单每个季度也更换。special的甜品值得一试,老外会喜欢的,不太适合亚洲人,得打着胰岛素吃那种😨
