Great food and atmosphere. My wife and I spent 4 months a year in China for over 9 years. The food at Shu tang is authentic and delightful. The chilli fish felt like we were in Chengdu. Absolutely love this place.

Shu Tang met my high expectations when four of us had dinner here on Monday night 21/06/2021. This restaurant is perfect for entertaining with its impressive high ceilings, elegant interiors, private rooms and ample double storey seatings. We ordered seven dishes to go with steam rice and although no dish was so outstanding that it could be called a famous signature dish, every dish was very well cooked and totally delicious. The Shanghainese onion pancake is thin and crispy and probably the best in Adelaide. We enjoyed the dinner very much and will be back.

Not a large menu. Service excellent, the chicken dish we ordered had more batter than chicken, but flavour was really good. Crispy beef was also very good. Would give the spring rolls a wide berth, they were awful, stuffed with mashed obviously leftover vegetables. Overall would go back.

Last night I went out for dinner with my mother, we decided on a whim to check the place out, and wowee- are we glad we did! The ambience, customer service and quality of food were first-class. We had the Mongolian sizzling beef and the Szechuan Style Fish Fillet with Chili. Absolutely delicious!!! While I'm not normally one for posting reviews - I felt compelled to give due credit for the exemplary experience we'd shared... In society, everyone is so quick to complain, yet few give time to appreciate (and mention) when they've been thoroughly impressed by a venue/business. I think this maybe one of the best Chinese cuisine in Adelaide. Like nice and taste very delicious. The price is mediocre and accommodating. The dishes presented look very nice... the waiters are nice but giving us customers privacy. Would certainly come here later sometimes.

Good environment and great service although we were asked to leave (in a polite way) before 6.30pm because the restaurant sets 1.5 hours for each dining table. Delicious speaking of most of the dishes ordered. Particularly like the stewed beef in sour soup(酸汤肥牛) which is spicy and sour and with crunchy white radish. Pork ribs are tasty. However, the roasted whole fish (barramundi) is too salty and covers other flavours of the vegetables and herbs. The desserts are good as well such as the glutinous rice cake with brown sugar caramel(红糖糍粑) and fried sweet corn. Would come again and recommend to others generally speaking.

A beautiful restaurant, great service. The food is good for most parts. The prices are on the higher side though. They also cook fresh seafood right out of the tanks which can be seen from the dining room Not a big fan of the soft shell crab as it hardly tasted of crab, had too much batter. The salt and pepper prawns were better. The hot and sour soup was a huge size enough for about 5 people, and the fish in chilli broth tasted great with the fish melting in the mouth. Good place to go to for special occasions or to entertain someone.

Such a nice place to sit :) The staff and management are very friendly and helpful. They make the experience very pleasurable. It's good value, I visit often. I've eaten there a few times, and the food is quite nice. It's generally clear that the management have an understanding in how to run a restaurant and combined function space, although I have only seen functions being organised and not been in one. The history behind this review is long and I have every intention of adding to that history, and hopefully they'll continue to be there to make that possible.

This is our favorite restaurant in Adelaide, food are always delicious and beautiful presentation. Nice spacious restaurant ideal for any sized dinner gathering. Service was on point, however the food was hit and miss. Of the 8 dishes, 2 were spectacular, 2 were good and the rest disappointing. Duck was dry while the soft shell crab was refried. Corkage was set at 15 dollars and the pricing on the menu does not reflect what is online, quite a lot dearer.

All of the meals we ordered were nice, with the winner being the Mongolian lamb. Service time and responsiveness is OK. Cost is on the higher side, so you could probably get the same quality for less elsewhere. Big disappointment was their signature smoked duck was not available.
